How did we get to Friday without one, SHAME.

Maidenhead v Hartlepool 12:30
Aldershot v Guiseley
Barrow v Woking
Boreham Wood v Solihull
Chester v Halifax
Dover v Wrexham
Eastleigh v Dagenham
Ebbsfleet v Fylde
Gateshead v Torquay
Leyton Orient v Maidstone
Macclesfield v Bromley
Tranmere v Sutton Utd

Seems like we performed a lot better mid week with two upfront, would imagine he'd keep the same team, possibly replacing Donnelly for Adams and maybe Luke George for Hawkins? Hopefully we don't show ourselves up on telly :animatedf:

It's been a long season, everyone is a bit jaded by now.

I can't make this one, which I'm a bit gutted about as I really enjoyed the football we were playing at times on Tuesday. If we carry on like that, we have a good chance against Sutton, who proved they are no mugs on the opening day against Leyton Orient. Come on Rovers!

Not sure what to make of our chances. If we play how we played second half against Bromley we'll win, if we play how we played first half we'll get beat.

Worryingly, Mitch Brundle is a doubt which leaves us dangerously lacking in the midfield department. Without Brundle I wouldn't expect us to get anything from the game.

Can see us struggling against Bromley. If Askey lines up in a defensive minded 4-5-1 (like he did at home last season) I think we'll lose. If Koby Arthur is given a free role in CAM, I think we'll win.

First game of the season for me, hope Mellon starts with the same midweek 11. Not sure what to expect of Sutton, but think they'll be one of the teams pushing for the play offs come April.
Hartlepool could be in for a nasty suprise down in Maidenhead. Never easy these long distance, early kick off, in front of the camera games.

Agreed, a point emphasised by the fact that we lost at home to Bromley last year at a time we had actually been playing well (7 points from the previous 3 league games, that were away at Aldershot, Gateshead and Wrexham; plus the Oxford games).

Don't read anything into Bromley's result against us. They were all toilet apart from their keeper and one quick attacker.

They attempt to play out from the back in a way that they simply aren't good enough to do and if they play anything like how they did at Crabble you will open them up effortlessly. It's just fortunate for them that they appeared to have Gordon Banks in goal.

Needed a "Ricky Miller" type to chase down & pressurise Bromley's defence
Their keeper made some good saves but he flapped at everything, never caught a ball the whole game

Miller would've scored 5 in that game. The keeper's punch which conceded a corner was appalling.

Noticed the defenders and the manager arguing with their keeper for not playing short when they were losing possession in dangerous areas whenever he did.

The second weekend of the season and both our most anticipated away trips will already be over with! We've played better than our points total suggests, but I'm not expecting to come away from Orient with anything.

We should be looking to beat Maidstone I think, with all due respect, especially if we're harbouring top seven ambitions. It won't be an easy game though, I expect they will offer a lot more than Solihull. Would hope we can get a clean sheet, but I wouldn't back us to. I reckon a 1-1 that we shade.

I myself will be at Aldershot v Guiseley. Does slaphead still post? GuiseleySteve what should I expect?

Am one of many who have predicted Dover to struggle after seeing some of their signings during pre-season.

However, a decent start winning at Hartlepool and seemingly battering Bromley and somehow losing. Sounds like we weren't any better than average at Maidenhead in midweek, Keates seems determined to go with 4-4-2.. hope we see Akil Wright starting but I am guessing we'll go with the same team again. Would be happy with a point.

Maidstone seriously need some points and less timidity in front of goal, before Leyton Orient get properly used to this league would be a good time.

Based on our first two games, we'll be competitive/combative first half followed by a second half collapse as the energy drains from the collective tank :(

Hopefully, there will have been a discussion about pacing the game at training on Thursday.

Fancy us to get a result against Fylde, although it depends how we fare without Dave Winfield. Sounds like his injury from Tuesday isn't looking good. Sam Magri should slot in fairly comfortably though, if we go with 2 centre backs rather than the 3 we started the first two games with.

Well we did beat Solihull on Tuesday night, so I'd say this league is as good as wrapped up now. Easy stroll to the finish line for the Os!

Yes because every Sutton was fecking delighted and glorified every moment and didn't let the club know how fecking fuming they were with the decision, nor did it cause a massive gulf and split among our support base, more than any other issue in our recent history.

You'll be fine. If memory serves you play on a pitch that isn't a plastic postage stamp, so I imagine Sutton will struggle a bit.

Looking forward to having an away crowd at Brizzie - not going to happen very often this season.

As Sir Still as said no team will really be truly their full self until about 6 games in . We are starting to see quite a formidable strike force in the attacking 4 of Ferrier , Fejiri ,Cheek and Whitely. While im extremely happy about 2 wins in 2 we are seeing a bit of a pattern emerging with sitting back and letting teams back in the game. While it has worked against Barrow and Boreham Wood i do feel that an experienced team like Eastleigh will know how to claw themselves level and with that im predicting a disappointing draw and to be honest i think we do need one for the experience later on in the season.

After a tame draw against Eastleigh and a comfortable win against a bang average Dover side that probably couldn't finish their dinner, tomorrow's game against Macclesfield will be tougher. If we defend solidly as we have done we will have a chance, and we have the pace to give them problems on the counter. Should be a good game.
