I cannot believe all this negativity about Micky Mellon, I am sure I read many posters saying he would have got Tranmere up as Champions last season if he'd started the league instead of Brabin?!

He might have done. Different season, different circumstances.

Some cracking people have come out of it though, one Tranmere fan even moved down here. It's his 2CW derby this Saturday. one guy comes over from Italy several times a season. Unfortunately there were too many idiots.

Is the Tranmere fan Phil Moss ? He used to edit one of our fanzines and was pretty heavily involved with the club, so it is weird that he decided to change teams.

It is.

He's still a Tranmere fan, he just got really involved with the Fleet, moved down and has still kept going after MyFC. Deep down, I would imagine he wants Tranmere to win, but should we win I don't think he will be too bothered. As I said, his 2CW derby.

To be fair to Dale Vince though he did say FGR would find it 'easy' to get out of League 2 and he looks like being proved correct.

Pretty much. Numbers dropped and by 2013 I think there was less than a thousand. It was always destined to go that way though, especially with some of the people involved. I was one of many Tranmere fans who said that last season and I stand behind that point. This season, it simply isn't working for him. I still believe he is the right guy for the job, but he is under enormous pressure.

Something isn't right at the Club and I'm not convinced it's Mellon's fault to be honest. Same mistakes happened under Edwards, Brabin and in particular Micky Adams. Don't get me wrong, Micky isn't helping himself with some bizarre selections and formations, but he did the same last season and it worked, so I'm not convinced it's just down to that.

The players need to take their share of the blame too.
