Must be very few Alty players jabbed if one case causes two postponed games.

Home to Weymouth who looked to have started very well, not any easy game but the type of one you need to win if play offs is the aim. Hopefully we have one or two back to get some time for our free hit at the Hollywood Dragons Saturday.

Aldershot looked good against us, not sure how they’ve been so bad otherwise. Although I have a bit of a theory that our freewheeling style just leads to really open, entertaining games where the opposition usually looks decent as well, even when we win.

Yep, you may well have something there, with a bit of space offered, Shots do knock it about quite well. Cramp ‘em up and get a bit physical and they’re sunk. The game at Meadow Lane was the only time we have looked half-decent.

Given that we're not playing tomorrow and now not on Saturday either we'll be 3 games behind a lot of teams after 3 weeks of the season.

We will probably call it and Dagenham off due to COVID. Seems the fashionable thing to do now...

Yep, unless there’s a ruling from Conference Management,(some) teams will use Covid when there’s injuries to vital players. Believe it.

Sorry, but the league needs to sort this out. There is zero reason why one positive case should be leading teams to call off two fixtures.
This has to be a priority for the league to fix surely. Makes no sense. Make those players quarantine, test everyone maybe and crack on?

In terms of the game, I think Payne in for Rowe is the play to make. Rowe has dropped a pen in so far but that's all he's done. Payne deserves a shot, I think he's looked like he's got something when he's come on. Can see King coming in for Carline as well. Gotta be questions asked if we don't win this one for me

Our fourth game out of six against an unbeaten top 5 side, so I'm not expecting too much. Daggers have had a great start, and a point would be a real result for us. A lot will depend on Mussa and McQuoid's fitness.

Over 6000 tickets issued including season tickets for tomorrow night
We're definitely losing this one, 2-0 Grimsby.

If we get as much as a draw out of it, I'd hand us the title.

I don’t know what Payne has done to make you think that but it’s all a big, horrible, cruel trick

Hopefully the game goes ahead, I’ll be driving up and I can imagine it will be carnage travelling up on the M1.

I’m not expecting anything but unlike last year, we’re proving to be a tough out and so far have been difficult to score against. Jackson may start up top but other than that, I can’t see any other change to Saturday’s starting XI.

160+ sold so far in the away end if Notts’ ticketing portal is to be believed. Good going from us as I’ve yet to get mine and I know that’s the case for others too.
Just to let you guys know that clifton Bridge that takes you in and out of Nottingham is closed from 7.30 tomorrow night if you can let your guys know on your messageboard

Either a comfortable Wrexham 2-0 or a spirited 2-2 I think. Will be the first real test we’ve come up against and I think our fans are in for a shock. Should be a good crowd though.

Do you have a functioning midfield. Yes? You should be fine.
The real question is how good is your attack and defence?

i certainly think you’re on the ‘optimist’ end of the Notts fan spectrum Jacob, but do you think it’s a bit troubling that Torquay, Aldershot and now Weymouth have put what their fans seem to say are very good/season best performances against us, with us not beating 2 of them, when other performances and results suggest at least 2 of them are dogshit?

In short, are we easy to play against?

Doesn’t take much to be on the optimist end with us to be honest.

I’d say not really, it kind of suits us more than games where teams sit back and try and kill the game, I think. We’re easy to play against us in a way because I don’t think we put any real emphasis on stopping the opposition and are quite happy for games to be open and end-to-end. I think we’ll win most that end up like that because we have the best front three in the division.

The only concerning sign so far for me was the second half against Torquay when we struggled to create chances against a massed defence. I’m surprised more teams aren’t trying that against us yet. Aldershot and Weymouth games were entertaining and the opposition played well but we were miles ahead on chances created and expected goals in both. We’ll win the vast majority of games that pan out like that.

We’re pretty much what I expected so far. If Roberts stays fit, we’ll go close to winning the league. If any of that front three get injured for any length of time (or sold in January) then we’ll be play-offs again. Still wouldn’t be entirely against a more imposing central midfielder, but we’ve not even seen Vincent yet I guess.

Like I said I’m not sure we’ve been tested yet! Defence looks iffy imo but we are at least scoring goals. Hopefully it’s a good game regardless of the result.

I don’t think anybody really knows about the defence or attack yet but the midfield is certainly strong.

Up top McAtee is a class above but he’s not really a striker, wingers are relatively hit and miss. Our defence is okay but I do worry about the right and left backs

We can all clearly see how important this game is to Grimsby. Looks like they all believe this is the decider. People fighting to get seats. Huge pressure on that set of players tomorrow.

You'd fancy them to go all the way after turning us over 1-0 from a set piece.

Something like 300 seats left in the home end. We could give ourselves another 300 seats by taking some of the Osmand but I don’t think we’ll do that, especially if Wrexham are bringing over 500.

It’s a very us thing to put in a stinker in front of a big crowd so watch the floaters stream for the bars once Mullin gets his second on 34 minutes.
