Nah, that was just normal for us. Not won for a year? Nay problem, you've got us next, you can sleep easy. Anyone else need a win? :ds:

You returned the favour from earlier in the season when you hadn’t won (or scored) for ages until we rocked up and went 5-0 down after 15 minutes.

Atrocious games but 3 points is all that matters, Bromley are crap they won’t be bothering the play offs.

Lynn had a go and within their rights to think they’ve done enough to deserve a point there really, despite all of our possession.

God knows what to make of us. Up to third with games in hand, amazing defensive record, best player in the league to come back from injury, but you’d struggle to find anyone willing to say that we’re consistently playing well.

A win's a win but we were lucky. Tough on Kings Lynn

Far from vintage, but a good 3 points. Thought we looked fairly comfortable until KL’s late flurry. The Effiong/Turner sub seemed to throw us a bit. Most pleasing aspect (bar the win) was probably the performance of reserve keeper Luke Pilling, looked a more than capable deputy for Slocombe

We’re doing it all the time now, though, so I’m not sure whether it’s passed from being lucky to mind-numbingly effective.

I think we're having a bit of luck at the moment, we're defending brilliantly, closing down, blocking, well drilled but even so, things are going our way. In the end wwe'll have to play better to keep on winning.

I love it when people come out with this "best player in the league" stuff about one of their players. Almost certainly knowing sod all about any players at other clubs having only seen them against their side.

I'm assuming you mean this Roberts bloke who I'd never heard of before Notts fans started raving about him. He may be amazing but how you can confidently claim that he's the best is beyond me.

Nothing personal against him or the Notts fans, just always tickles me when I ses this sort of comment, we had the same thing last year from Halifax fans about another bloke nobody had ever heard of before (or since).

Aye I think that’s true to an extent, although it’s so difficult to create any clear chances against us.

It’s a very weird set up for a conference team, particularly away from home. You hear of teams killing the game by playing defensively, counter attacking, time wasting etc, but it seems that our plan away from home is to actively smother matches by just having the ball and not really trying to do that much with it.

I was basically on the wind up, to be honest.

Although I’d still be surprised if it wasn’t actually true. We’re clearly a useful team having made the play-off final and being up there again, and he’s basically been noticeably the best player on the pitch in about 90% of the games he’s played for us. I’d say the most gifted player we’ve had since Jack Grealish, who was obviously on another level entirely even at eighteen.

You've probably got a bit of a tap in against us on Saturday too. Be hard for us coming back in from 2 weeks off I think. Back in training today so will see how that pans out but assume it will take us a couple o games to get back up to speed

Since our most recent of stoppages this season, many of the teams that were around us/just above us have started to win games and pick up points and created a bit of a hefty gap between us and them. So as strange as it might sound with so few games played, these next 3 games could pretty much define where our seasons heading...

Notts (A)
Altrincham (H)
Stockport (A)

3 teams in and around the play offs. If we lose, we obviously lose ground on them and the gap probably becomes too much with the amount of teams in between us and them... but if we manage to get 6/7 points out of those 3, we are well within the conversation.

Unfortunately we haven’t got the time/games/points on the board to be able to ease ourselves back in to the fixture schedule, we HAVE to hit the ground running if we want to make a real fist of this play off surge. Gonna be extremely difficult given the reasons you pinpointed, but in Rowe I know we’ve got someone at the helm who will give a good fist of it!!

We looked absolutely bollocksed the first game back after our isolation break earlier in the season, but I think most of our team actually had the virus which presumably made it worse.

Should be a decent game Saturday, think both teams are far better than they were for that slightly bizarre 3-2 at your place.

Actually was a bit of a turning point for us, we were awful and looked really flaky despite the robbery at the end. Taken 23 points and only conceded 3 goals in the 11 games since.

Stockport forum is fun at the moment. gone from exciting football under Gannon and now more defensive way with Rusk. one or two want him gone as only 1 goal scored recently.

Yeah I agree, if we get 6/7 points we're bang in contention given our games in hand. I just think it'll be a tough ask to beat these teams after an absence. Alty I expect us to beat but the other two, anything is probably a bonus.

After Saturday 5 of our next 7 are at home (presuming Dover are done for the year) so hopefully we can....unbelievably....entrench ourselves in the play off positions.

Damnsight more than one or two. Most are just utterly perplexed as to why the change was made, it's like cutting off your head to spite your face

We're due a defeat and not as convincing as the run implies. It is tough starting straight back after a break but I won't be putting us down on my weekly fixed odds donation to the bookies.

Apparently, Wild is an idiot who knows nothing and our entire squad is shite, and more than this, we were WARNED. At least that's what the very knowlegable football professionals on our home forum have pronounced after pooling their collective knowledge and experience of the game and conducting an extensive and wide ranging examination of all of the available evidence. There can't be many clubs blessed with a body of this quality and expertise available to them. And free of charge too. I'm confident that once the club have taken on board their advice and implemented their (brilliant) ideas, we will piss this league. Watch out! :ds:
