There's another forum that everyone's gone over to, despite the League Two and League One boards thriving on here and the craic being shit over there. Had a glance yesterday after the midweek games and you could tell people were trying to get things back to normal over there but it was so forced and fake. They're annoyed about too many ads not realising you just have to put an ad blocker on and you don't see them. This section of this forum is finished sadly.

It's underwhelming to see everyone leave and essentially kill this section. Bizarre move IMO. Only other forum on there with any volume is the Premier League one. They're getting modded and bossed around by a Newcastle fan and a Walsall fan who couldn't give a shit about this league, they're on recruiting missions getting people across. They've been successful on this section.

Interesting to see what some of the lads on there do if their team gets promoted. Back on here you'd imagine. Weird.

Feel sorry for the lads who've worked their socks off on here tbh to create a free and fair forum for the likes of me to talk shite.

I was a member of the old TFF since circa 2006/2007. The best path is to stay where the best people are with the right intentions.

But so be it, this place has been killed overnight.

Unfortunately the situation isn't helped by TractorBoys deleting comments and entire threads from the non-league section of this forum.

If the Luton fans in the Championship section of this forum are any indication, most of them are probably perfectly fine staying in the League 2 section of the other forum. Especially when the League 2 section there already has a bunch of Swindon, Hartlepool, Exeter, Bristol Rovers, Bradford, Barrow, Forest Green, Scunthrope, Walsall, Sutton United, and Rochdale fans on there.

Not sure what you mean by 'bossed around' I am officially the laziest admin in the world - I'll admit to being a Newcastle supporter though

I'm, pretty sure in the last month I've made 2 moderating actions both on reported posts in the non league forum (see lazy comment)

There has not been any attempt to recruit a single member from here by any member of 1FF that I know of

I haven't seen any evidence of heavy handed moderation in the (admittedly short) time ive been on the other place. Its quite nice to see Moderators active on the threads though tbh. If it calms BTTF down and stops trolls like Carsonsuckscock I'm all for it.

It seems very much like this place only you aren't being bombarded with adverts despite being a registered user.

I don’t even care about the adverts that much but the technical issues on here seem to be never ending and at least a couple of times a year it goes down for a number of days.

Fair enough. People are free to choose what they want to do but it has created a divide now between these two places with leagues etc. The beauty of it was that L2 posters would come down and post on here and vice versa. Now doesnt flow at all.

The only reason I bring up the fact it's a Newcastle and Walsall fan doing the modding is that I've seen it in the past when you've got posters who support teams in other leagues who take their moderating job far too seriously and don't understand the forum. If that's not the case with you, fair enough, and I apologise if it comes across as a dig at you when I just refer to you as the "Newcastle fan" it's just I don't know anything else about you.

I find it weird how the threads are all just copied like "Shan off Gaffer race" etc. It's to get people to come across lets face it, it's an element of recruitment lets say it for what it is. The forum has just tried to copy this place almost word for word. Doesn't seem to have any element of unique identity. As I've said, I won't be coming over anytime soon out of loyalty to those that work hard on here.

I think it was a case of those who chose to move making it what they wanted it to be. It's sad that changes have happened here to alter that balance because we've always lived side by side without any of the usual online hostility that can sometimes happen.

I haven't seen any threads called that in other sections of the forum tbh.

Guess the Championship one has a "First manager to be sacked" but that was started when the season begun.

I get the reason for bombarding guests with adverts (it's only logical after all) but what's the logic behind registered users getting the same deal? Surely that should be one of the perks of signing up?
