Super Georgie Wickens has grown over the weeks, looked a tad nervy early on and would have been disappointed to have let the first goal in any Chesterfield away. Pulled a similar save as the one in the first half at home to Grimsby but used his face rather than hand.
He has a great future in the game, hopefully a full season with us then somewhere further up the division.

Was a great atmosphere and good that we competed, but that is what we are set up to do. It’s not a park the bus policy but we don’t roll over and let teams play, other than at Torquay. Our final ball was poor when we did get opportunities and the offside goal was very tight, but right decisio.

Not sure what to make of Wrexham, is it the pressure of playing in front of an expectant crowd, the thought that they should win against inferior opposition or players expecting others to just do it for them. Something needs to change as yesterday was obviously not a one off.

I thought he was excellent for a young keeper- that point blank save from the header was instinctive but absolutely top drawer. And the shot that appeared to be heading into the top corner too, I need to see that again because it may have been even better.

Wealdstone definitely weren't parking the bus. I was impressed how you played. Weve played far worse teams this year- I didn't think we were that bad really, we just didn't really have a creative spark and as the game wore on we got more and more frustrated and clueless in our approach play. You completely stifled Mullin too.

You seem reasonable usually so surely you can tell that absolutely non of us think or have said we have this in the bag?

We're just enjoying the fact our club is no longer a fucking laughing stock after 5 or so years. What's the point of being a football fan if you can't enjoy the good times? If a few folk are getting wound up by that then meh....seems like a them problem.
Where are you getting that we're wound up by your good form from? There's something in the water around your parts.

I thought Solihull were dreadful if I’m honest. They didn’t offer anything at all and Ardley had set them up at home to grind out a 0-0. Even when we got a goal they never came after us they just sat in and watched us create. Weird performance from a supposed play off contender.

Another goal for Kabby, bids in January seem inevitable now I just hope the club had some sense to arrange a decent release clause. No issue if he’s sold and we can then re invest in the squad.

Did your keeper have a blinder or is he always that good? someone really impressive saves.

We weren't good but had the chances to win it. Wealdstone came with a game plan and executed it. They never looked like scoring but otherwise looked comfortable and looked a decent team so a draw was probably fair. Decent numbers of away fans travelling too.

Like Notts County I can't remember any Wrexham fan claiming that WE ARE BACK after beating Aldershot and King Lynn- not without their tongue in their cheek. So im not sure where all this hubris is coming from. It'll be funny if Chesterfield fuck it up from here. It is only November after all.

The summary of George Wickens is succinctly covered by Stoney Ground. The first Chesterfield goal was a shocker and he had a rush of blood which led to Weymouth’s goal a few weeks back but he’s getting better week on week. He’ll injury permitting have a long career in the Football League at least.

Really good laugh in the away end yesterday, topped off with a cardboard cutout of Hasbulla with a taped up Stones shirt over the top.

I didn't say that but it helps you form your agenda then so be it.

What were you going on about here then?

I'm on about that one or two folk don't like the fact that CFC fans are on here having a laugh.

You come across like one of those said people.

Would be abit dicey to sell him. Especially the way the National league is. If your still top in January surely you need to back yourself and reject the money in favour of a shot at the title

I'd certainly hope we would do the same if someone came In for Waters.

Bromley with Cheek. Shots at the title don't come round every season and if you end up in that play off system. Every chance you'll get Bromley'd out of it

Love how that despite being top of the league, your top priority is to wind Wrexham fans up.
They're just trying to take your mind off what's coming to you on Tuesday night, chuck. :ds:

Sounds typical Ardley. I see from their forum he is under a bit of pressure already.

Yeah, you don’t bag 16 in 16 (having also done well in previous years) and not have the sharks circling, especially those who might be struggling a bit and want to give their season a shot of life (hello Posh).

I’m not surprised he’s under pressure. In terms of league position they’re doing alright but I wouldn’t want to watch that week in week out. They had players on the pitch like Rooney that have the ability to win games but never looked to use him.

Then you've got me wrong, but you can keep thinking that if you like. I'd rather Chesterfield went up than Boreham Wood and I honestly wish you the best. I've just found some of your lot on here incredibly annoying but now they're on ignore so I'm sure I'll be talking about them less going forward.

Then that's fair enough mate. At the end of the day, it's an online forum and nothing on here matters a whole lot.

Grimsby and Stockport fans absolutely delighted to wake up and realise it's their Sunday off from getting TRIGGERED.

When, not if, George puts on a bit of bulk and comes to claim crosses, he will go far. So much of his game is decent, just needs to work crosses, catching/claiming rather than punching, and his kicking from the ground. His confidence is growing week by week.

I don’t begrudge Chesterfield their time in the sun - the timing of the arrival of a couple of their fans on here is coincidental to say the least though…

The other one has always been weird tbf, remember he was adamant they were going up from League 2 in 2017/18 and look how that turned out.

I only post on here when we’re doing well. Don’t want to have to deal with the #bantz when we’re getting our arse kicked every week.

Since last season we've had all the "bantz" aimed at us. Furlough, loans, grants, taxpayer money, not played anyone with a pulse etc.

Personally think they should get over it.

For any Wrexham fans coming to the game on Tuesday night. Yes we are still in the stone age with cash only. But we are not a brotherhood club so you'd expect tinpottery :bg:
:ffs: I am the founder and sole administrator of The Brotherhood. The Brotherhood comprises those clubs who were in the Football League in 1986. No club may leave the Brotherhood, no new members may be admitted. FC Halifax Town is a reformed club, not a new one, and are FOUNDER MEMBERS of The Brotherhood, you fucking CLOWN. :bdick:

Thought the Wrexham fans were top class yesterday, no BBB stuff from them, their staff and stewards first class too. As for on the pitch, not surprised there is discontent from the stands because they're definitely not getting value for money. It was obvious very quickly that the team is one dimensional, lacks creativity, lacks pace. Mullin was kept quiet all afternoon by a loanee from Orient and a kid released by Fulham. There seems to be a pattern from some of the BELT sides where they expect us to sit off and allow them to play; when we are organised and look to keep the ball they dont seem to want to do the hard work. The exception this season has been Chesterfield who still look the best side we've seen.

A great point on the road for us and huge credit has to go to the management team who are working miracles on a limited budget with part time players. Maynard and Saunders have engineered 7 clean sheets in this division, 3 in a row against Grimsby, Barnet and Wrexham - a stark contrast to last season. Lacking goals in the team however so something we do need to rectify and if we can, then a solid midtable finish should be where we are looking. UTS.

To be fair to you I also thought that Chesterfield would go up that year too, despite us beating you opening day you had so many chances that game that I thought you’d still be minimum top 7 and probably top 3.
