Devastating news about Manny being injured. It's always on the cards with the guy though sadly. Hopefully McCourt can slot in ok

How long is Oyeleke out for? Annoyingly for us I suspect a lot of your injured players who would have missed or not been match fit/sharp by Dec 4 will be by Dec 21!

Sunderland recalled Patterson, that’s a blow, he’s a cracking young ‘keeper. Hopefully we can get him back once their injured goalie is fit again. Slocombe is fit now though so shouldn’t affect us too much.

All we know is he's a 'big doubt' so that makes you think it's not a long termer. Knowing Manny it will be at least a few weeks, the geezers muscles are made out of plasticine but hopefully he's back for the East Mids classico.

Dunno. Rowe said the problem (calf) comes and goes. Who knows I guess.

Apparently has a calf issue which keeps flaring up so keeping him out rather than playing him.. says 'we're trying to get to the bottom of it' which sounds concerning.

Think the only two who might be back in the period you mention are possibly Gunning and Maguire.

Edit; ffs we really do swarm this board don't we, sorry I'm two minutes late and now we look like over-eager buffoons

Yep a blow, easily the best keeper I’ve seen at Notts in terms of distribution and his all round game is good too, good shot stopper, solid on crosses and high balls, just the one error at Halifax really.

Would have thought Clarke or Asante too?

Rowe's earmarked Asante's return as the FA Trophy game but says we probably won't see him properly until Jan. Yeah perhaps Clarke might be, hard to keep track.

He has at least been recalled before getting tackled while doing a Cruyff turn on his own goalline, which has been getting closer and closer each game. He’ll have a good career.

It sounds like he’s only covering a short term injury at Sunderland and we are hopeful of getting him back, I dunno what the rules are around re-loaning players and when you can do it?

I think it’s basically the wild west down here, can do what we like. It’s a bit annoying if he’s just been recalled to sit on their bench, presumably for him as well, but what can you do.

Patterson going is a bogger. I think we’ve all seen the difference between a perfectly adequate keeper for this level(Slocombe) and a really good, commanding one.

Hopefully the competition will make Sam up his game a bit, now he knows his place isn’t assured.

I've travelled 2000 miles to away games this season, but haven't seen us score in the last 4 I've been to. Like Debbie, I'm still doing Dover though. :bdick:

Your Radio Notts commentator is a joke- every Notts player pulls off a "Cryuff turn" at some point during a match, while the opposition repeatedly try but somehow never quite succeed in doing one. Meanwhile, the Cryuff turn is a very specific movement and what he describes as one is never little more than a very poor approximation:fl:

Dover away. Not won all season. What could possibly go wrong. Exactly the sort of game we would somehow contrive to lose in previous seasons. I have a little bit more faith in this seasons team but still nervous about dropping points.

Going to go for a 2-0 away win in this one. Hopefully re establish a 1 win gap in the play offs at the same time ahead of Hollywood Fc's visit in midweek. ;)
OH DO FUCK OFF. YOU'RE AN EMBARRASSMENT. :ffs:

For some reason Grimsby away is top of my eldest sons list of grounds to visit, I was a bit pissed when they changed it to a Friday night, but it's not a school night so why not.
Couldn’t you just give him some bus fare like I’m doing for my lad go tonight? :bg:

(I’m working unfortunately)

Sorry for stealing somebodies thunder but wanted to start a thread to detract away from the systimatic bullying our fans are suffering on last weeks thread.

Anyway (no fancy write up sorry) here's the games for this weekend with a friday night cracker

Friday 19th
Grimsby Town v Southend United

Sat 20th
Barnet v Torquay United
Boreham Wood v Maidenhead United
Bromley v King's Lynn Town
Dagenham & Redbridge v Yeovil Town
Dover Athletic v FC Halifax Town
Eastleigh v Notts County
Solihull Moors v Chesterfield
Weymouth v Altrincham
Woking v Stockport County
Wrexham v Wealdstone

On our game, we've never won at Solihull and they seem to always have a decent side so a tough one for us in which i'd take a point. Everyone will be suprised to know we still have 10 out injured and 1 suspended still so we're down to the bones as such (I think only 1 fit first team player won't make the bench so only 16 or so available) so don't expect us to make many changes.

Sold 750 of the initial allocation and we're given 250 more late last night so should be a decent following to what I think is the worst away day in living memory.
Piss up in Birmingham with brief stop off at the game. Nothing around the ground whatsoever.
Think we will draw this one.

Well! Another embarrassment ahead of us, this time shared on live TV, OH joy! With Jack bridge out for six weeks ish following a knee operation in the week, we are going to really struggle tonight.

No doubt Rhys Murphy will be diving around trying to get us free kicks in the final third that the ref will get bored with turning down and when we do get a genuine shout, will turn that down too! Wish he would stay more vertical in a game, I really do.

Dolby will plug away and I hope he has some success, as if we had a better side and eventually do any time soon, he would step on in his development imo.

The midfield will huff and puff and achieve sweet FA, more Puff though with Dunne and Agogo proably involved together.

Looking forward to how Ralph plays though, been one of our better performers so far. (Not really that difficult).

Lopata and Brunt will shine again hopefully.

Score , loads nil probably, oh well at least it wont spoil a Saturday and I can spend the time after a round of golf hoping KL and Aldershot both lose to keep us out of the relegation zone.

End of pre sale we have sold 180 tickets so far. Hats off to those that are going, especially with it being televised, great effort!!

Here's hoping for a good game!

If it helps we don't have a game this weekend so we won't be jumping you in the table

These Southend fans predictions feel strangely similar to the Aldershot fans predictions from last Saturday,

Oyeleke missing is a huge miss, however the return of Weston in recent weeks softens the blow a bit. I’d personally bring Payne in for Oyeleke, go two up top and other than that remain unchanged with Kellerman dropping deeper to play with Weston.

1000 travelling with no doubt a good few in the home ends that couldn’t get an away ticket. 2-1 away win, Williams with the late winner against his old club

Woking away.

Trying to get myself up for this one to be honest.

Got Frankie Goes to Hollywood on

When two tribes go to war, a point is all that you can score, score them all, score them all

Not working really. There's nothing to say about Woking really except they're most likely playing us at a good time after our Wednesday exertions and the potential for us not getting quite so up for this one.

Yep, probably a good time to play you.

We’ve not drawn yet (won 7 lost 7) - probably be 2-1 either way.

A tougher game for us tomorrow. Barnet are a much improoved side. We may have Hall and Wright back as they have been badly missed. Will go for a 2-2 drawin front of around 400 fans
