We’ll beat Weymouth. Then lose to Barnet on Saturday,

Yeah, otherwise it’s a frustrating but not-too-bad 0-0. I think there’s an element of we are just going to concede goals to teams like Eastleigh from crosses if we’re playing four full backs in one team. Cameron has had Covid so don’t think he’d trained, should be back starting tomorrow. We’re a different team with him really, don’t think we’ve lost with him starting - not only is he our best defender by miles, he keeps scoring as well.

Slocombe also did himself no favours with an absolute horror flap for their second, makes the decision to try and get the young lad back from Sunderland as soon as we can a lot easier.
We should play Brookes in goal tomorrow, Slocombe is a liability. He's been a good keeper but we really should have released him in the summer.

Thats our normal plan, sh.t or bust ;) :box:
Think you’ll attack us then? Be nice to watch a game with both teams going for it playing attacking soccerball

I thought I read somewhere they were or actually now I think about was it that they have scored in every away game?

Apologies long day haha

No we have lost to Grimsby, Maidenhead and Stockport away this season. We are unbeaten at home.

Until Saturday we had scored in every game this season, but some teenager kept us out against Wealdstone in a pretty toothless display.

You should be favourites really, we have a soft underbelly (zero midfield). Hyde and Mullin are a dangerous pair though.

He really isn't.

I don’t think he’s particularly great, but I don’t think there’s a lot of particularly good ‘keepers around down here to be honest. Problem position for the league.

Eastleigh at home, again another unknown like Yeovil only Ben House I’m familiar with, seems they’ve done some good recruitment from players dropping out of leagues one and two. Need to win anything else and it’s going to be a long month watching people climb over us in the table as with Notts and Grimsby to come next along with us missing the final Saturday league game before Xmas.

You’ll win tonight. Eastleigh only have a pulse at home. Once they cross the county line they turn into a stiff corpse.

Interesting one tonight, at this point every game is a must win for Wrexham and Halifax won't see a draw as a good result in their position and with the home form.

We are a different team if we score early on, hopefully we start strong tonight and do something to address our midfield.

My first visit to The Shay, optimistic prediction 1-3 (Hayden,Mullin,Hyde), realistic prediction 1-1/2-1.

Our turn to hopefully not be the first team to lose to Dover. Nik Tavares picked up a knock on Saturday so one of Okimo or Eleftheriou will take his place. The latter also plays the same position so would make sense but not sure if he's injured as well.

Tonight will also comfortably be our lowest away following of the season, I'll be there but will be stunned if we take 3 figures.

We should make 3 figures with a supporters coach almost full plus various others travelling. Need to be positive from the off as their is very little confidence and positivity coming out of Northern France.

The start of five back to back very tough looking matches for us. After Solihull tonight we host Borehamwood, then go to Dagenham, then home to Chesterfield before going to Halifax on Boxing Day after a week off. If everyone is fit though, I think we can come through that lot with a reasonable points haul as I don't see the promotion hopefuls as the ones we'll come unstuck against. Our defeats to Bromley and Notts don't really tell the full story going off the scorelines alone, however the ones to Wealdstone and Aldershot were unequivocally us being beaten by the better team on the day. I think if we're firing then we're good enough to go toe to toe with anyone in this division.

I haven't really seen anything of Solihull this season but I'm fairly confident they're gonna be big, aggressive and pressing a lot but with a bit more creativity and guile than say Maidenhead or Wealdstone. More Woking-like perhaps? However, I'm hoping Chesterfield might well have done us a favour by signing their best CB and they'll be a bit of a mess at the back. As Lew says, I can't see McAtee starting this one but he'll be on the bench and playing a part at some point. I reckon we'll see Towler come back in but it could at the expense of either Waterfall or Pearson after the latter had a sold match on Friday.
We’ve got to win this
You may as well have just gone to the mirror and said Candyman three times. He's coming for you now. Has there ever been a side more primed for a Devonshiring than the current Southend team? You can bet your bottom dollar that the Maidenhead boss has been up since 5AM today like a small child on Christmas morning preparing his gigantic towering centre backs for battle and pumping his CMs full of Monster and Relentless. Printing off pages and pages from the Southend forum of people posting about how this one must be the night that they get their season back on track and sticking them all over the away dressing room. So Southend fans, while you may think you've played 15 matches as a Conference side, tonight is the night you are truly initiated into the ranks of the non-league.

Sorry D-Minus and pals, Wrexham FC aren't playing your games, they recognise and acknowledge the FA ruling of 2008. Sorry again, but hey, I don't make these particular rules. :ds:

100 would be good. Away support has been poor this season. about 160 highest
With a guaranteed easy win would have expected more travelling fans. Perhaps Wrexham next week?

I thought we'd moved on past this? Postponing games due to a single case that is, not the pandemic
Same.

Maidenhead got a few injuries by any chance?

National League never fully clarified it and put their foot down on it.

And does that cock up our visit there at the weekend?

Sam Barratt wasn't in their squad on Saturday, their manager was talking about a lack of centre halves and they got battered whilst on a poor run of form.

Just a coincedence I'm sure.

Devonshire was bemoaning their injuries last week...

Notice how, unlike Cambridge, in the postponement we actually wish the player(s) well.

National League's fault. They need to be stronger on it.
