Really good point for us tonight at Yeovil. We seem to have woken up since the drubbing at Dagenham and the boys looked bang up for it tonight, and on another night we’d have won that - especially if the ref didn’t bottle the second penalty and book Whittingham for “diving” and give Yeovil what looked a very harsh penalty. Really didn’t think Yeovil were anything special tonight, particularly Murphy who spent the whole evening moaning.
HUGE game Saturday against Chesterfield.

We aren't anything special, that's 2 wins in the last 8. Murphy is officially the best striker in the league though.

Connah's Quay for me. They are the new force and will win the Welsh Prem this year, I'm out purely for glory.
A Wrexham fan making themselves known at Nomads would be pretty funny to be fair as it's essentially Chester fans who don't do aways with several ex Chester players in the squad who are nearing their fourties!

Some good goals in our game tonight, helped by some generous defending from both sides. Taylor’s strike in particular was spectacular.

Buys Currie some time but we will certainly need to improve at both ends of the park if we are to climb up the table.

I have had just about enough of Neal Ardley. We’ve got good players and thus score some great goals, but there just isn’t any pattern or organisation to how we play.
It’s amazing how many people who think Hardy was the worst chairman in history somehow got it spot on in his final choice as manager.

Referee helped you a lot. Decided to bottle giving us a second penalty in the first half then gave you one when it looked like our player had won the ball.

Your keeper dropped a clanger from Powell's free kick, really should have saved it.
The ref was terrible tonight, hit the deck and get a free kick. The penalty he gave shots was never a penalty, he was just eased off the ball. However the one that was apparently a dive looked like it was. Thought ours was pretty stone wall as well. Poor game, 3 at the back didn’t work. Never thought we’d miss Dickinson quite as much as we seem to

If us and Chessie both sack our manager in the next couple of weeks, no prizes for guessing who’d be top of the list of potential replacements...

I would have thought Sheriden will be gone in the morning.
Most teams sack their manager after we've pasted them.

Absolutely delighted with a point tonight at Barrow, we started really well and went 2 up inside 20 minutes before Barrow woke up and levelled by 30 minutes. Very tough second half for us but am still trying to work out how the awful Officials managed to add a total of 10 minutes over the two halves, unbelievable. Barrow are a good side, we are playing much better now and finally got off the bottom, Vernam is different class.

Chorley you can keep Vernam for a while as we obviously don’t need him as we’re scoring goals for fun at the minute with one goal in our last 6 league games. :gmc:

5 from 18, not looking convincing, conceding too many and we start the first fifteen minutes of games like they've been smoking weed five minutes before kick off.
We look and are playing like a mid table team. I think this is going to be another two manager season, used to hope that wouldn't come to pass, now I wouldn't shed any tears if it did. Centre midfield again barely got past the halfway line and Ardley will not change it.

Boreham Wood deserved the point, lively going forwards, weak under pressure at the back, mid table like us.

Less than a thousand home fans in the ground tonight, for their cup final. You've got to ask, what is the fucking point? I'm sure Mr MoneyBags will be mulling that one over, too. :£:£:£

Classic Pools. Put in a performance like that, everyone starts thinking we’re gonna thtreaten the play offs then go and lose at someone like Maidenhead.

If DC can get any kind of consistency out of them, we’d be up there.

Didn't have the chance to post yesterday as had work straight after the match so had a bit of time to reflect on the match. Also had a good chat with Chorley's Alex Newby around midnight about the match. 2 nil down then 2-2 inside 30 mins against a lively decent Chorley side. He thought at 2-0 they would have won - and against early season Barrow they would have, but to be honest they were lucky to be on level terms at half time. 2nd half Barrow hit the bar twice and Rooney smashed a free kick against the post, but it just wouldn't go in. Other results still went our way though, so we are now a point clear with a game in hand.
If Chorley can keep Vernam and Matt Smith they'll finish well clear of the relegation places - but the ref* totally bottled it last night when not sending off Smith in the 1st half, a 2nd yellow all day long.
*Edit - just found out it's the same ref as we had when we played Halifax at home - he was crap then too

Woking 2 Millwall-lite 1

What has happened to Bromley?, in September a slick passing machine who looked league title contenders. Last night they spent most of the game collapsing in mock agony with high pitched screaming, When they weren't doing that they were crowding the ref every chance they got to get our players booked. On the football side they just smashed it into orbit.

No wonder only 72 fans bothered to come and watch that shite from them.

We huffed and puffed a bit, but produced two moments of quality and now its 12 points from getting the cigars out

HUGE game Saturday against Chesterfield.

Unlike the paragon of virtue, Ethan Chislett who after bickering with his own player to take the penalty decided to run towards the home terrace and celebrate in front of them? Can hardly blame Murphy for moaning after spending 90 minutes trying to bring down 1057 aimless long punts played up to him because no one in the team is allowed to pass the ball along the floor.

Like others have said, I thought the Aldershot penalty was harsh on first viewing but the decision afterwards to book Whittingham for diving when it looked a stonewaller was laughable. Aside from those two incidents and a free kick which should have been meat and drink for Nelson I don't remember you having a shot in anger. Both teams were poor. I thought a draw was a fair result.

Sheridan won't be going anywhere in my opinion.

He has 2.5 years left of a 3.5 year contract earning between 100-150k a year. That is some pay off regardless.

Dave Allen is apparently talking to two parties about a takeaway so why would he shell the money out when it could well not be his problem soon.

Likewise Sheridan's wages/contract are apparently a stumbling block for any takeover, as likely any new owners first job would be to shell out a wad to remove him. One of the interested parties are struggling to raise funds anyway, so him being in situ could likely kill their takeover attempts.

Best case is Sheridan resigns, but why would he when he knows if he stays put he will get a pay off?

His interview last night is incredible, he says he should be sacked, says he doesnt know what team to pick etc. One would think he is TRYING to get sacked, yet nobody at the club wants to pay to do it.

We are down as things stand, and when we go down we go bust. It's that simple

It likely was the fact we are awful with a manager trying to get sacked rather than anything special. We make 6 changes almost every game in the hope that something crazy will happen. No idea if you were any good but I know for a fact we will have been atrocious. It really is embarassing

Stockport have only scored 1 more than Wrexham, and conceded 3 more and are 12 points ahead.

I'm not sure whether that's small margins or there's another reason for that gap on relatively similar GF and GA.

We have to battle for every point in this league- we don't get many free points. We're really quite an average team and I'm counting down the days until we can get to that 50 plus point range. As soon as we go off the boil, we get slapped by 3 or 4 and have done on 4 or 5 occasions. We've rarely won by more than 1 hence the goal difference.
