Barnet 2-0 Aldershot. Mission impossible is on! Whisper it but we might even avoid relegation if we can keep this form going.

Shaq punishes Aldershot’s profligacy to make it 2-0 to us.

Feeling much happier now
Doesn't look like Havant & Aldershot will be able to put a run together to survive

The title must be Orient's now. Even if they pick up a win and a draw in their games in hand I can't forsee a six point turnaround in the same amount of games.

Realistically we probably need four more wins and to avoid defeat at Solihull. Win 6 and we can’t be caught... Can’t say I saw us being in this position when Salford bummed us 3-0 in January.

I thought we was worthy winners tonight, that first half was as good as we've played all season, we were excellent.

Second half, we kept our shape well as Fylde changed shape and threw more men forward.

Managed to keep Danny Rowe quiet as well, still the best natural goalscorer in this IMO on his day.

We've still got to do two more Saturday-Tuesday games and a few of our players are picking up injuries so this ain't over by any means.

Fairly straightforward for Maidenhead today. Not our best performance but two great finishes from Upward and Clifton. Havant showed no real fight or quality and look down to me.

I've heard a fair few negative reviews on here so decided to keep an eye on Joe Quigley for Havant today out of curiosity. My word, he doesn't even get the absolute basics of centre forward play. I'd take Byron Harrison or Ryan Bird over him any day of the week.

If we werent down before, we are now.

Doesnt help when you score a perfectly good equaliser and the linesman decides to disallow it (link to video below)

I have to say that at the time it looked like a valid goal to me.
You were much the better side in the first half and tried to play passing football throughout the match but I ended up with the impression that I’d finally found a team in this league that was more indecisive in front of goal than us!

That is an indictment and a half!

The bloke is beyond useless.
How he keeps getting clubs at this level to sign him I will never know.

Getting dicked by Havant 3-0 followed up with a home dicking by Dover could hopefully see the end of Taylor as it’s unacceptable with the players he has to his disposal. I for one couldn’t face another season under this guy he so lacks the ability to change a game if we’re losing.

We have a real tough run of games coming up so I’m rally greatful the bottom four are utter tosh. I can only see us winning one more are Braintree.

Same old, same old at the Hive, Shots huffed and puffed.,had a rare goal ruled out, then lost heart and bottle. Home to Fylde on Saturday, could be mathematically relegated if we lose. It’s really hitting home ,now; I never thought it would come to this.
Btw, the traffic around north London last night- I guess people have to commute in that every day...what a life.

We cant be relegated on Saturday, worst case we would be 13 from safety with 15 points available

There's a fair bit of discussion on our forum about the decision to chalk off Aldershot's 'goal' last night. Some reckon that it was not disallowed for offside, rather that one of the Shots players was holding one of our defending players as the kick was being taken.

The referee didnt give anything until the assistant raised his flag for offside right on the corner flag, so he was definitely giving Rendell offside

Yes,you’re right. I was relying on the calculations made by my passenger on the way home. So the fat lady is not singing yet.I can’t believe I have already resigned myself to local football again.

Yeah, the way he held out his flag rather than shook it means that he was signalling for offside rather than a foul. I have to say that in this case we're the beneficiaries of a bad refereeing decision.

Unusual for the relegation spots to be seemingly sewn up at this point.

Wow, what an incredible decision!

Unless the lino thought someone flicked it on, that is one of the worst offside decisions I've seen in a long time. THe goalscorer is literally 5 yards onside when the free kick is taken.

Aldershot fans. You are cordially invited to a relegation party in Maidstone on the last day of the season. Bring cakes. Silly costumes? Maybe clowns, given the nickname of our last manager. Let's go down in style with a smile on our faces.
