Oh yeah of little faith :surr: Alty were unlucky not to win it,.. fantastic penalty save by Pools keeper in the 93rd minute. Second half Alty dominated that. First half Pools well on top. Encouraging but 2 more players crocked.

Well deserved point from Altrincham, we were utter piss in the second half after a decent first, dunno what Challinor sees in Donaldson, total waste of a shirt when we have better attacking options, much rather have MacDonald or Grey playing.

"The poorest we've played since i've been here" was how our manager summed up last night. He sounded very down in the post-match interview. "Sutton played well but we were bad all over the pitch". The first goal was weak defending and the second was an "absolute calamity" and a definite penalty. Joe Quigley got another goal but in Sarrl's words "It doesn't mean anything". In summary it was a "disgusting" performance and we are nowhere near where we were last season.

Josh Staunton has damaged ankle ligaments and is likely to be out for 2-3 months. With Wilkinson still out we are going to have to sign another defender as we haven't got enough available.

Was a great save, Killip has been much better this season but could easily been sent off.

We were dreadful second half and your lads got a well deserved point. Should've been out of sight at half time though really.

This team are gonna frustrate the fuck out of me all season. Far too wasteful.

Haven't seen him like that in a post match interview before. Seemed genuinely upset and angry at the performance, I wouldn't have wanted to be a player in that dressing room afterwards. No doubt there will be changes for the weekend, and hopefully a couple more through the door.

I'd give MacDonald a go next up, hasn't had a chance yet.

Mostly though we just take too many wrong options. Ferguson was barely passed to all night and when he did get the ball he set up the goal.

Aye he's looked lively MacDonald, how does he not even make the squad last night, I'd start him and Molyneux on the other side, would've been a coin flip between Parkhouse and Bloomfield but you can't drop a goal scorer.

The three subs I thought changed the game for the worse, Ofosu stank the house down when he came on and Crawford almost wrapped up the three points for them single handed, thought he was awful and he was only on for 10 minutes.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Probably Torquay’s easiest game of the season. Didn’t need to break sweat to score 4 against one of the most inept Shots teams I have ever seen. Outmanaged yet again, lack of motivation and poor selection and substitutions. It’s fortunate for directors etc. that there was no crowd presence, it would have been an ugly place last night. As it is, they will blithely carry on as if all is sweetness and light.
Not with my money, they won’t.

Agree about McDonald.
I was hoping he was at least on the bench,
he showed on Saturday he can make things happen.
We we’re crying out for some pace & trickery from him & Grey to unlock a stubborn defence.

The words "stubborn and defence" are not usually used in the same sentence about Alty, its more often about how well we keep the ball etc.

Absolutely molested Solihull but failed to convert that into goals. Where've I heard that before, oh yeah, every other game this season.

Sooner or later some team is going to receive a complete trouncing

Nah, I didn't see that. Maybe in the regionals where the standard is lower.

Just had more aggression in the 2nd half, we gave away lots of free kicks, lost our rhythm, poor subs, you hung in there, got in our (and the ref's) faces and fair dos you got a draw.

Wrexham were so shit. If you can't beat a side with an 18 year old in goal a back line with debutants, square pegs in round holes...with a team of players not been training as the norm...a manager self isolating need I go on.

Crap game but we've dodged a bullet, still in the fa cup and grabbed an away point with the bare bones.

Happy days

Fair enough comment on this game but we are still finding our feet and lost a key player the day before the season started who was key to our style of play and retaining possession. Much tougher for us being proper part time and injuries starting to pile up too. When we get chances like that to win games we need to take them.
