No idea if we deserved that but always take a point in the road at places you can’t point to on a map

My god we were piss poor tonight. Didn’t look like we’d score if we played till Christmas. Then right at the death Danny Rowe bags the winner. We are painful to watch. Gateshead look a decent side

I think we are the ultimate 1-0 side. We are always more concerned with keeping clean sheets than actually going to kill games off and risking conceding one. Saturday it didn't pay off for us and tonight we rode our luck as well, even against 10 men. 13 clean sheets in 20 in league and cup this season is immense though considering the defence has changed around quite a bit too.

Fylde has 12 clean sheets from 18 in the league which I find unbelievable considering they are normally a 'score loads, concede loads' type of side.

I was thinking Sutton isn't a million miles away from here. Then I realised that's Sutton in Ashfield, and the actual Sutton is fucking miles away. Good job I didn't try and make the trip!
Just as well you didn’t think it was in Sutton Coldfield either.

As for us we didn’t play badly but Salford were just more incisive than us and Sweeney handed them their second goal on a platter.

Though we were a bit unlucky tonight. hit woodwork 3 times, just can't get anything going

maidenhead losing 7-0 & having their keeper sent off - we have them saturday - might get a point :)

A few Maidenhead fans calling for Devonshire out, which would have been unthinkable until very recently. He's completely lost the plot tactically and has made some shocking signings, especially Ryan Bird who is on big money but barely looks Isthmian standard. He should get more time but keeps making the same mistakes, is far too desperate for Bird to come good when everyone can see that we ought to just write him off, and seems completely disinterested in entering into the transfer market - we've only had two CBs all season, and one of them is Obileye who is absolutely dire. A lot of big challenges ahead.

We made hard work of that. Hope we actually go all out and trounce Gateshead because we're capable of battering a side I'm sure, but we just don't throw enough forward.

Oh well at least we didn’t cave in and give them a hatful. A respectable forfeiture of 3 points as per the terms and conditions.

Please please please take Ryan Bird back. Please. What were you putting in his cornflakes to get him to score 16 last season? I can't see him hitting 6 for us and he's starting most games.

Just a bit of light to shed on a dreary night for you all, it was a Wrexham fan in your end who started celebrating that caused it to kick off, not a bunch of Hartlepool fans fighting amongst themselves.

Baffled by the whole thing.

I love us hovering around 2nd or 3rd in the league, it keeps us going. When we go top, we lose 4 in a row to teams I'd never heard of 10 years ago.

We’re nowhere near as good this season in midfield, lack creativity but now we have, not only the best defender we’ve ever had in Byrne but the best defender I’ve seen outside of the football league. There’s no chance we’ll keep him. Far too good for this level. We’ve conceded 7 in 18 games and he’s a massive reason for that because he tells the others what to do constantly. On top of that our keeper is the Bollox as well. Now if only we could sign a bit of pace our wide

I'd love us to play the evil sooner than we do. So long as we weren't reffed out of things, we'd 0-0 or 1-0 them to death.

Second half capitulation once again. Hopefully we'll start playing defenders in their correct positions from now on. Open season on our goal at the moment, though not quite as open as Maidenhead.

The pretty football was a breath of fresh air in August and September but it isn't bringing the results anymore. We're in desperate need of some proper shithouses.

Hate to say it but Salford should win this league if they play like tonight every week. We gifted them the second, but no complaints.

Good to see our stewards are still the idiots they've always been.

Heard we looked better with 10 men in the second half?

Not too disappointed, just gotta get something at Bromley now.

You did in a way but we were just shite going forward. All our players sat deep and a couple of players had a stinker, Pyke and Fondop in particular.

Salford were a well drilled and organised team. Not thrilling to watch at all but if you pay top dollar ain't no surprise you get better players and performances.

First half even between the sides, second half Sweeny hands Salford the points with a dreadful mistake. After that Salford just passed it around we couldn't get the goal and just didn't have any luck.

Fair play to Salford a well deserved victory.

Think its fair to say that Salford fans really shouldn't be shocked to be top given their resources... Good luck to their project.

Ugh. Yet again battered the opposition 1-1 away from home. I’ll reiterate that we’re the best side in the division between the 18 yard boxes, but we just don’t put sides away often enough. Doomed to playoff final heartache yet again.

Frustrating night for us, long spells on the ball - But again not quite clinical enough against an organised Eastleigh side who were happy to sit back for long periods of the game against us and let us keep it. Conceded a goal from a set play as well from Eastleighs only real attack in the first half, which was annoying. Very little to add on Eastleigh, very organised but clearly a midtable side.

We are a good side, but Salfords extra fire power as I keep saying will almost certainly win them the league this year. They have a second striker on Rory Gaffney who will get around 15 goals at least - Something which we don't quite have yet, we also have alot of young but talented players as well, but they're not the finished article Salford have. Finishing 2nd/3rd will be a good season for us though still.

Get out. With our collective powers we will defeat them. Brothers stick together. We are both matching the evil every step of the way.

Strange game, first half nothing happened yet we went in 1-0 thanks to a decent strike fron McDonnell. Second half we controlled the game, created loads of chances but didnt take any and then Boreham Wood score from a corner in the 90th minute. Draw not really a fair result on the balance of play but we got what we deserved for not killing the game off.
