Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Semi-Devonshired at the Rec. Shots now playing Barcelona-lite 5-5-0 formation, everyone defending and ,presumably, attacking. Could be fun if it works, but not sure players at this level have the technical ability to carry it off…..
Onwards and upwards.
Boreham Wood still doing well, I see.

This is going to be an embarrassment for Chelsea more than Chesterfield...

They really were dreadful. Loved a long diagonal. Crosses into the box. Nothing really in terms of interplay between players. A better team could have had us in that first half today.
??? What the fuck? I can't be associated with these idiots. :ffs: Can you all, for me, just pretend I support a DIFFERENT club to these fucking clowns. :dk:

That was the worst Eastleigh team I've seen so far- timid, no intensity, have they all been ill this week or something? Said in first half they were ripe for a tonking if our lads were up for it. :bdick:

1822 at Halifax today. How are they still in business?

Cause we pay fuck all in wages. But that crowd is extremely tinpot.
Depending on what Grimsby bring, would imagine their will be a lot more home fans their on Tuesday than today. Imagine crowd will be 3500-4000 on Tuesday.

If fans won leagues then Newcastle United would be one of the best clubs in the world.

You can add Wealdstone and Aldershot to that list now after today.

Indeed. Think we’ll know a bit more once you lot below us have all played their games in hands over us, plus think there’s some massive games this month at the bottom - I know we’ve got Southend and Weymouth in the next couple of weeks which should either move us to safety or put us right back in the mix.

It's three times the size of Boreham Wood with a population of over 90,000. Just thought they would be mustering larger crowds having such a good season.
Unfortunately we share borders with Leeds, Huddersfield and Burnley and that's invariably where our townsfolk have historically gone. If we were to go up and in the top half we might end up with around 3500 home supporters + those that West Yorkshire Police kindly allow us to host. A Halifax side in the bottom half of the table in League Two would be struggling to get 1500 as was the case before we were last relegated.

It did feel for a short time that their 'everyone behind the ball and hope for a counter' tactic might work. Every time we got anywhere near the halfway line there were 10 orange shirts ahead of us. But as is always the case, park the bus tactics only work when score is 0-0. As soon as they cocked up to give us that first, their plan, team and eventually manager fell apart. Christ they even made Jamie Allen look like a world beater for a spell. Eastleigh do travel like cheap Spanish wine but still their recent form has seen been mostly against sides in or around the play-offs. Expected more but not the first time we've seen us just purr when they get a couple of goals to the good and enjoy the space that then opens up. Could (and should) have been 5 or 6.

With regards Slew, he's just a maverick, goes long periods of doing nothing, hasn't won a header all season but he's in the side because of the moments of magic that he can produce and has a hell of a shot from the 20 yard range. He had a a ropey two or three games at start until he found his feet but he is rightly one of the first names on the team sheet. And you know what he cost us fuck all, like the majority of our squad.

Waters got MOM but would have given it Spence for that performance.

That's more an embarrassment for Wrexham, Stockport and the other moneybags teams. HOW are WE top, huh? Imagine if we had some MONEY? We have the best fans in the league, what we lack in numbers we make up in commitment and passion. :ds:

That's a poor crowd for a team in with a chance of winning the league.
And yet...... we're in with a chance of winning the league. Our crowds are currently rather more damning of your club and one or two others, than ours. :ds:

I think you have completely misread or misunderstood my comment Sir, and in doing so have revealed more about YOUR opinion of him than mine:dk:

How so? I have respect for Billy. I may have called for his sacking in the past but he is a gent and credit where its due has put together a very useful side this year on a low budget

Not sure how you can add us to the list after today, six sides around us played and only Southend didn’t drop points.
Easy, cos you are now only 2 points ahead of us.

Lose on Tuesday and we win and we go above you.

If you don't think you are involved in the relegation scrap, think again, especially as you have to come to our place as well.
