Intrigued to see if we can back up our performance against Stockport at home to Bromley. It's their first game of the season so hopefully we can catch them a little cold at the beginning. Expecting Bromley to go well this season so 6 points after a difficult looking first 2 games would be a great start.

I'm thinking Balanta will be out for a while so Walker will most likely come in alongside McCallum in an otherwise unchanged team.

Previously we would go 1-0 up then try to sit back and hold on, but not under IB. Think this will either be a frustrating 0-1 to the Gulls, despite California’s misgivings (weren’t Hall and Andrews missing too btw?) or a convincing Notts win
Yes, fair point about Hall. He came off the bench on Saturday after a delayed pre-season. Andrews is good but used sparingly. I'll take 1-0 now if you're offering. My pessimism about the game owes much to how strong you guys look, by the way. Roberts and Rodrigues should terrify every defender at this level. Nemane up against Moxey worries me, too. But I think we can still have a good season, I'm just expecting a slow start.

Nemane won’t start - his arrival seems to have encouraged Kelly-Evans to buck his ideas up (not that he was bad before tbh) and work on his attacking, and he was superb at Barnet.

I think it’ll come down to whether Johnson can come up with a plan to disrupt us. I think we’re stronger than we were in the play-offs and you’re probably weaker, but the principle is still the same - we dominated possession and territory in that one but you still found a way to score four against us.

Long trip to Eastleigh for us. Been impressed with Eastleighs recruitment so far, expecting a very tough game. Hopefully Jones coming I'm will help us a bit. Still a bit worried about the back 3 and Dibble. With Hall Johnson out my guess would be French will play RWB, dave Jones drops into CB and New Jones comes into the midfield. Hayden looked class at Solihull and youth player Cleworth had a reasonable debut.

I'M Going for another 2-2 Hyde and Mullin with the goals for us. Makeshift defence could struggle
Brisley and Laiton can't get back soon enough

Not been to a game since 8th Feb 2020, a 1-1 Draw away at Bradford with a 94th min equaliser in front of 17.5k fans.

Never in a million years did I think my next game would be against Weymouth in a league game but here we are.

No idea what to expect and for now I don’t particularly care

Looking forward to Saturday. First ever visit to Meadow Lane (always enjoy visiting a new ground).

However, I'm not looking forward to the drive 'home' to the Garden of England in deafening silence as myself and Jnr reflect on how Cameron was allowed to score despite the fact he'd been shit all game, the fact that Wright had a stinker, the fact that Holman couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo, the fact that our new 'keeper stood no chance when the 4th one went in, the fact that our defence looked like it was the first time they'd ever met each other, the fact that... etc etc ad nauseum...

Cue a 0-1 away win (I'm crap at this prediction lark)

Enjoy, it's far and away the best ground in this division. Went to the Trent Navigation Inn the day before last time I visited as Nottingham Forest were at home the day before, and had a few very good pints in there.

No idea if our lot have even trained together since our Covid cancelled opener. No mention of any improvement or relapses on the injury front either, so can't pick what the team might be, as we have/had so many out.

Just hope Weymouth are frightened by a passionate crowd and whoever dons a TOWN shirt has a decent game.
Yeah. Everyone's freaking out about the lack of communication on signings when we all know Hurst won't say anything on that. I'm definitely more interested to know who is fit going into this weekend. Surely we're gonna get a pre-match interview with Hurst today or tomorrow?

Southend v Stockport and Notts v Torquay are the two I'm looking forward to, apart from our game.

Will be interesting to see what Stockports reaction is after the Daggers game, to see if Southend are rubbish or not. If Notts are as good as their last result suggested (or of Barnet are just awful still) and what is going on with Torquay.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Shots visit Boreham Wood. Well, we’ve all got to at some point.
Would be pleased to have a few SOT’s, and pinching a point is a dream at the moment. Realistically, 2-0 loss.
Can’t make this one, prior commitment at Circus with grandchildren.
Send in the clowns…… there’re already here.

We're without Alex Bradley and Lewis Simper this weekend, they were both in the group of players who were isolating. Adi Yussuf not matchfit but will probably play some part. Both Mark Little and Reuben Reid will be out until Christmas. Sarll says he hopes to get a couple more players in, possibly before this game. Struggling to put out a bench.

Boring 0-0 draw.

Whilst it's nice that someone in the NL thinks we can keep a clean sheet, I am not convinced our new back line is that bedded in yet. Likewise although we didn't real open Southend up last weekend there were enough promising signs that we will be competitive going forward and create more chances than we did last season so think there will be goals

So our entire squad pretty much had to isolate off the back of 2 positive cases? It doesn’t make any sense, didn’t make sense last time it happened and it turned out we’d fucked up
2 cases initially and then didn't Debbie Cook say 13/14 had it when the PCR tests came back, which I think was the day the fixture was postponed? They've not been very transparent with what has happened at all here.

Thought we fucked up last time because they weren't following covid protocols and all playing darts together, so had to all isolate not because we isolated the whole squad. This time it may be we did follow protocols but they still had to isolate.

Debbie wouldn’t say how many we had originally, it seemed to be plucked out of thin air.

It seems impossible to me that we could’ve been following protocol and have the whole squad isolate.

At work we’ve had a few cases and I’ve not once had to isolate due to us following the rules. Yet we’ve had it twice and the entire squad has gone down, first time we broke the rules and perhaps I’m cynical but usually when something doesn’t seem to make sense, there’s a reason for it.

It's more to do with the fact we have one fully fit striker TBH

Mixed emotions for B2TF as Halifax's status as a Brotherhood club is cast into further doubt but he achieves the most coveted prize a Yorkshireman could ever wish for with a saving of £2.

Can’t see how FCHT being a Phoenix can ever be a brotherhood?

For the past couple of years the lads who post this sort of stuff at the start of the season have won the league by the end of it.
