I'm on Wealdstone's side for what it's worth.

I like the Wealdstone lads on here.

Barnet have always been a set of irritants IMO. Jason Puncheon used to score screamer after screamer against us.

All these North West Corner banners - 'Rhythm is a dancer, Challinor is the answer' blah blah are not helping. Best manager since Neale Cooper they say, what about Danny Wilson? He has a lot to do to be in that category. Seems he's immune from criticism and that's unhealthy.

I like him but he clearly has work to do. This is the biggest test of his career to date. We don't have a bad squad at all. Something has to give. 2 up top, be it 352 or 442. Something else eh? Maybe.

We're getting a striker in on Monday apparently. DC is convinced he'll score goals. Wait and see. Couple of years ago, I'd be apoplectic about losing at home to these but it is what it is, he's a capable manager and is upfront and honest. Get the feeling he's unhappy though. Would you be with the absolute shower of a club we've become?

I like him also and he's been a breath of fresh air amongst the managerial turds of the past, but like you say I think some fans have created this god complex around him and that he can do no wrong, the problems are of everyone else's doing, aye the budget has been slashed but it'll be higher than 3/4's of this league, we really should be doing much better than one home win.

If this loanee striker is from an U21 side I'm gonna chuck me season ticket I never bothered to collect in the bin :lac:

Aye, the calibre of striker we get in will tell exactly how the season will pan out and what Singh is up to. I don't trust the slimey c*** one iota but waiting to see what transpires with this one. If we're serious about promotion we need a serious signing.

DC deserves more backing.

I've heard one or two things that a couple of deals he had lined up he got no backing for. Now he's ticking and you can see it, looks disengaged to me. Up to him to fight that though if he wants to make his mark as a manager, this isn't Fylde.

I bet you do mate, they're as precious as you are about budgets ;)

Well, 10 goals in 2 games is bizarre considering we couldn’t hit a barn door previously. Best two performances of the season however Barnet and Weymouth were both pretty poor so not getting carried away

Strange game at the EBB today. First half was as good as I can remember us playing in a long time, our front 3 ran Daggers ragged and we really should have been 4 or 5 up at half time. Second half was a totally different game, Dagenham absolutely battered us and if it wasn’t for the heroics of our keeper Brad James (for the second game in a row) and 3 goal line clearances we would have lost that.
Was disappointed with Dagenham, particularly McCallum who didn’t have a sniff. Strange one, as before we appointed Searle last summer, there was a lot of talk of us going for McMahon which I’d have been well happy with - surprised it’s gone so wrong for them this season.
Finally, huge credit to the club today for how it was organised - generally felt safe and was so good to get back to a game after 9 months away. I think the impact of the fans really helped the team too.

I can't believe the latest Covid rules the Welsh Parliament have put in to stop their residents using this forum. Look forward to the rules being eased when Wrexham get their next win.

Strange actually being at a live game again . Comfortable win for us in the end. Played well first half and 2 up in first half . Wrexham had a free header before half time. We hade a strange defence out there. Wynter missing at right back meant 3 centre halves . Frazer Kerr made his debut and Sherring had to move right back. Andrews at left back too. Danny Wright had to go off early second half so second half was always going to be scrappier. Only a few Wrexham looked ok today at times but bang average other times.1

He did miss a bit of a sitter in the 1-0 loss at Sutton last Saturday. Interestingly Hyde wasn’t playing in that game. Those two seem to be linking up really well and it’s like they’ve known each other for ages.

Based on the last two games, I’d keep him. He’s getting our wingbacks in the game a lot more which is making us much more dangerous.

Take the point with our depleted side. Looking forward to giving the shitcunts a proper Wealdstone welcome when they have to come to a full and raucous Vale on Easter Monday. UTS.

I remember well the Wealdstone welcome in 1988 when we won 6-0 at your place good times.

Thought Stones played some neat football and clearly were a more confident team. Pleased we stopped the rot but it wasn't pretty.

You'll love what we have done to our ground, really spruced it up for you. Lovely away end.

Your lot can only throw it away from here.

More obsessed with us than Chester fans. Guess that's what fame gets you.

0-0 at home to tinpot Wealdstone. Can we sink any lower?
My understanding is that, yes, you can. Google says there's a "National League South" underneath you and a host of other leagues below that, in a sort of "pyramid" arrangement. :dk:

Weymouth fans totally ballsed up their return I see. Sadly not unexpected given the amount of knuckle-draggers down there. Hopefully it won't tar the decent clubs with their brush.

Not just ignoring the Covid regulations but also: "Some fans brought alcohol into the ground while others ignored the smoking ban".

Surely this was banned everywhere long before Covid? Or are there different rules in deepest darkest Dorset?

We were excellent first half I thought, first 20 minutes was the best we've played all season and you just couldn't cope with Whitfield or Evans. We should really been more than 2 up before conceding a sloppy goal from a corner.

Looked a definite red card for the studs up knee high lunge on Evans and a stone wall penalty turned down in the second half.

Second half you were much improved, actually closed players down and got in our faces a bit but never really looked like getting anything out of it.

I didn't watch the game but that last paragraph sounds exactly like us.

From the first word to up to the word night.

Just keep doing it when we need desperately a goal, superstitions and all that.

‘I’ didn’t really get all the positivity’
‘I’ didn’t think we’d score if we played all night’.

These two sentences are definitely correct as funnily enough, I can vouch for my own thoughts( I think).

If it’s 0-0 against Borehamwood with ten minutes left, I will definitely now post how shit we’re playing.

Definitely your thoughts no doubt about it nobody can take those away but the commonly used "not scoring if played all-night" quote was badly misplaced on this occasion. I've seen 100+ Notts games where that was more appropriate.

Fingers crossed we don't need your assistance against Borehamwood
