Fuck me, shit pitch, shit ground, shit toilets. This is a shitty league, what are you great I-ams doing in it. ‘Cos you’re all shit in your own special way.
Now drop it and move on.
Rumours circulating that the lines painted around your pitch contain 50% asbestos too.

Still an incredible gate at this level.

Grimsby are on track to top what Lincoln managed on average in their promotion season.
Were they not getting 8/9,000 regularly or was that once they got back into L2? Also, surely you'll top our gates as well?

It was only really half a season of good attendances, it wasn't until December time they started rising, then it was to 6/7k.

Generally 8.5k-10k since being back in the FL, a handful have been complete capacity of 10.3k I think (which they soon knocked on the head because Sid decided to sit right near the Sunderland fans in a Newcastle shirt and caused a riot...).

Still doing his bit from time to time but not as bad as before because he got a ban off the back of said Sunderland issue.

Not sure whether it's still a thing but he was selling Sid Army merchandise for a handful of seasons to raise money for British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research.

Average for them in that season was 5160. Wrexham were in third with an average of 3892, how times change!

That would be over 1000 shy of the top 5 this time.

7387 is the record average attendance excluding play off finals in this division, with Luton achieving that in 2013/14. I think we're aiming to top that if we're up there this season.

What is the all time largest crowd in this division please? If Mansfield come down and we don’t go up (both looking possibilities at this stage) you’re probably looking at 12K+

Incredible across the board in this league, think Covid has had a say in that a bit though with fans desperate to get back. Saying that, the average gates for us, you, Notts and potentially Chesterfield are far higher than the bulk of L2 clubs.

I think our game at home to Notts at the end of the month will almost certainly see a gate of 7.5k ish
There are 6 here averaging over 5k and 7 over 5k in L2. That would put us all in the middle of L1 attendance wise.

Yeah I think Covid has played a part as well as club on the up syndrome like Chesterfield, Wrexham, us etc. We for example only shifted 2.5k season tickets, which is low but the numbers through the gate are more than double that. Vital that clubs at our levels keep hold of them.

Surprised at that record attendance. Thought Luton pushed 10,000 a few times, but thinking about that, that would require the away end being full. Assuming the record including playoffs is us vs Brizzle Rovers?

When we did the £5 tickets against Fylde I think I remember we were trying to top the record of about 11,000 which I think Bristol Rovers got.

Stockport County.
Great to see the psychological warfare worked against Darren McMahon last weekend.

2-1 up with 2 minutes to go and lost and now knocked off the top.

Devon Loch finally out of the record books for me.

Alty are going well though aren't they. They low key made some big moves in the summer. Part time my arse.

Yep it was definitely that Bristol Rovers game. Think it was 7-0 too.

Bristol Rovers just gave no solitary flying fucks about the rules. Everyone knows when you get a bumper crowd in you're supposed to shit the bed and get beat 2-0 and as for their policy on the promotion queue system? Despicable behaviour.

Think so. I was pretty hopeful about beating the 11,000 this season, but after Saturday maybe not…

You’re probably right, but we’ll see. This talk about Luton’s 2013/14 season prompted me to look it up. Didn’t realise they made such a poor start before hitting gear!

They have some good players, especially attacking ones. Colclough in particular tore us a bit of a new one - absolutely no way he would be playing at this level if it wasn’t for his off field ‘issues’.

their approach when they were down here was all wrong, after initial promise.

Getting promoted in your first season? Scum. Subhuman scum.

Fair play, it takes balls to come on a football forum and admit in front of everyone that you’re shit at football.
Rugby is a hell of a lot more fun to play, especially back then in the Welsh National League, pre professionalism. I’m ok at football, I did play at NLS level for a couple of seasons but didn’t enjoy it much, too many prima-donnas for my liking.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Well ,Dover do look marginally worse than Aldershot, so we may have half a chance tomorrow. Dover’s right back looks like he’s never seen a football before.

We tried our best to stop them but unfortunately Ross Joyce had other ideas.

If we're going well, we could break that record this season. We can get 5000 away fans in and I'm pretty sure one of Grimsby, Wrexham or Stockport and maybe Chesterfield could sell that many. We're well capable of getting 7,000 for a big game. If it's an end of season six pointer maybe 13,000 at a push .
Wrexham Jan 2 is probably the most likely for a tilt at the record.

We’d have done that record at the end of the Covid season when we were looking like getting involved in the mix for the title, I think. I think we might get it against Grimsby, reckon they’re likely to bring loads and if we’re top seven at least then we should be able to top 7,500 home fans.

Yeah, if we're still up there and you can top 7,500 I reckon we can bring 3,000-4,000 so could well be on.

Was thinking this - should we be playoff bound then I reckon we’ll bring 2000 but a shot at the title could see 4000 at least (if allowed!). Long way to go though.

We'll not bring 5000 to ML, we never do, even when we are going well.

Much as I like a trip to the fine city of Nottingham, it doesn't quite generate the same giddyness amongst the CFC fanbase at the prospect of a day out as much as it seems to for some other clubs (I'm looking at you, Mansfield)
