We don’t really seem to know what to do with Roberts tbh, he’s a genuine winger and we don’t play with them. Not convinced that trying to teach him to play central midfield is ever going to the best use of his talent.
Doesn't he only play 78 minutes a season anyway. He's the non league Messi so not everyone gets graced with his presence. :D

Well our 2 pre christmas league games are against Wealdstone and Kings Lynn so I'm hoping we can get some point there to keep us in contention for the Christmas season against Grimsby and yourselves
You’ll be expecting 6 points from those two then.
Our next 4 are:
Grimsby away
Notts Home
Halifax Home
Stockport away

Tough run but think we have enough about us to get a couple wins from that.

Come out of that lot still top and you’re looking very good.

Any chance of top 7 finish is completely gone, it was always an outside chance with our very poor defence and small squad, that has now come to roost. Hate being right.

Yet more injuries to deal with for beleaguered McMahon and I make that 8 defeats in 12 league games, any proper team with ambition for promotion would make a call, we will probably offer him a 5 year extension.

Our problems are very fixable to get us to that next level but like the previous manager he’s too stubborn to do anything about it.

It was bizarre how many of your players went down injured, must’ve been four or five with a couple having to go off.

Agree. 2 points a game is the marker over the course of the season and we are ahead of that. We have 36 from 17. If we come out of that lot with 42 from 21 we will still be on target. 6 points from 12 required.

Our injury record is awful, think that’s McCallum out for a while not that he’s done anything for 2 months. Sagaf will be a bigger miss, just bored of it all now really another wasted journey same old story. As good as Will Wright is at set pieces he can’t defend, his job is to defend and don’t get be started on Reynolds, seen jellyfish with stronger backbones. We’re two solid centre backs away from being a decent side, manager don’t want to hear it.

Brennan now with 20 points from 10 games. If only we didn’t waste time with Kewell

Yeah, I could see both how you started so well and how it’s gone wrong. Played some nice stuff and had some really tricky forward players, but we didn’t play well at all going forward and still should’ve had four or five if the linesman hadn’t had a mare and Rodrigues had scored an absolute sitter.

They would look good.

But that's a list of teams they haven't played in the first round of fixtures yet apart from Maidenhead which would make up their first 22. Simple as that to be honest. As much as we joke about them playing Aldershot ever other week, it's a fact at this stage that Chesterfield haven't played the same calibre as teams as others if that is their upcoming list.

Our 5 for what it's worth are Torquay, Altrincham, Solihull, Chesterfield and Eastleigh. Pretty difficult 5.

Notts' four are Southend, Chesterfield, King's Lynn and Dover so I would say they're in a decent position.

Other teams can do theirs, I'm not doing theirs, I'm not that sad.

Just look at your next fixtures, discount the first game in new Year which is some random double header type game and then consider any you've had postponed until you make up 22.

We’re a game up, but yet to play Southend, Dover or King’s Lynn (plus that big game at Chesterfield), where you’d like to think we should be chalking up points. We’ve also played the majority of our games against the teams around us away, we should have more points with the number of leads we’ve blown, but think we’re in an okay position with that in mind.

Easy12 points, getting tired of playing the cannon fodder of non league.

Rooney is a little scrote. Send him off to Fylde or somewhere.
Do any of Rooney's former clubs have a good word to say about him?

Hopefully we can mug him off to someone else in this league at the end of the season.

Our next 5 are:

Yeovil (H)
Dover (A)
Weymouth (H)
Solihull (H)
Altrincham (A)

we should be going gangbusters. We need to to put ourselves in a competitive position.

We have beleaguered Daggers up next, followed by Chesterfield and plucky Halifax on Boxing Day. 5 points from that would be excellent but I’m expecting 1, if not nothing.

Added to this, we’ve got to reschedule the Bwood game in so I imagine that’ll be either before or after the Chesterfield game. What a run of fixtures that is.

He generally leaves under a cloud.

He left us to go to fucking Guiseley.

Speaking of being fixtured out of it.

Dagenham on the opening fucking day with them having no injuries. Never given a Rusk a straw to clutch onto but I'll give him that one. They were class, I could still see little bits of the quality play they have watching them tonight but missed big players like that Jones, one of the lads of the back (Johnson), Walker and McCallum going bump late in the first half.

I'd have that Sagaf here. I think he could add something to our midfield but it's greed, our squad has quality and we need to keep cracking on with what we've got in the building.

But opening day, McMahon turned up in a classy suit, hair slicked back, looking the part. Few months later, few injuries, few defeats and some fucking dog awful weather and he looked like a tramp stood there in his shit coat with his hair flapping around everywhere tonight.

We’re getting better it’s taken a while, thanks for the six points I’ve chalked up for next season

Well summed up, McMahon building a team around players made of glass. Jones is class but always injured and the same with Walker. McMahon signed Morais as cover for Walker he is also made of glass and not played a minute for us yet. Beleaguered McMahon for the chop not talking about his hair.

Hard won win tonight, we deserved it without looking a class act.
Fair play to the 120 or so Daggers who made the trip up. I live a ten minute walk away and was tempted to watch on BT, it was plain cold tonight and I'm glad there wasn't extra time!

Was surprised you didn’t pick up Jack Cawley, as he was a free agent and may have been an option for you. But I’m still not sure he is at this level, not getting a start at Bromley.

2 defeats and 5 wins from the last 7 league games. All of those 5 wins have been a 2-1 scoreline

I mean, we’ve still played 7 out of the other 11 teams in the top half and are unbeaten against all of them

Did us the world of good not having a game this weekend in my opinion, and we should have at the very least Calvin Miller, Fraser Kerr and Danny Rowe back available for the Salford game next Sunday. Hopeful that Jack Clarke may even be able to get himself back on the bench for that one too, he’s been out for over 3 months now with a hamstring injury so surely can’t be too far off.. on the flipside I’d be giving Oyeleke the weekend off also as he’s had a niggling calf issue, so save him for Grimsby the week after as he’s absolutely pivotal.

We could also have Asante back in the fold before the new year, think JR is looking at the FA trophy game on the 18th December as possibly being the one for his return, most likely off the bench?

So potential for FIVE first teamers returning before XMAS just in time for our most difficult run of fixtures this season, exactly what we needed that.
