Ollie Palmer very complimentary about the Wrexham fans says the atmosphere was electric at the Racecourse. In fact the most electric of any match he can remember.
This is only the beginning Ollie keep scoring
New signing bigging up the fans of the club he's just signed for. Fancy that eh!

Tbf Hollywood Red has only just started following football. Cut the guy some slack.
A bit harsh that, I’d say 6 months is a bit long to be described as ‘only just started’.

Aldershot (and Boreham Wood, apparently )
Moles doing what he has to do at Aldershot, scraping enough points to avoid the drop. Unfortunately it seems to mean 5-4-1 at home, which is a very hard watch. Southend were obviously missing some firepower, crab-passing looking for an opening, but were there for the taking if Shots had shown any attacking intent. Not dull, though, decent atmosphere.
A point at Weymouth on Saturday should see us safe. Roll on end of season (again).

Yes. Two points from Alty, Weymouth, Eastleigh and Wealdstone away isn’t a great return. On the other hand we have taken far more points from promotion rivals so far than I was expecting. Top 3 finish is important though.
I reckon that the top teams really should be looking to take at least mid 20s points off Dover, Kings Lynn, Weymouth, Wealdstone and Maidenhead. We're 18 from 18 so far (even during the Rusk plague we managed to win at Weymouth and Maidenhead) which makes up a bit for dropping silly points elsewhere.

I was about to post something about the difference to Wimbledon's crowds but thought i'd better check first.....I'm genuinely shocked that they are regularly getting around 8,000.

A big crowd under the lights at the Racecourse is a very good atmosphere though.

I think their average this season is 7k odd, so not bad .Some very big teams in that league though so you'll get big away followings from the likes of Sunderland.

Yeah decent numbers now they're back in their home borough in London finally.

Good numbers but it's worth noting the away followings will be much larger at that level. I'd wager that Ipswich brought at least 1500.

You'd been going well until Saturday, so I don't think losing 0-2 to a very good Stockport side is anything other than a blip. I might have agreed with you about the draw, but the loss of our most creative player, Mussa, definitely tilts the odds towards you. A close game perhaps, but a win for Daggers all the same, I'm afraid.

Well, I hardly needed to be a clairvoyant to get that spot on. Forward to the past, really, with all the same old failings on display, chief of which are lack of a cutting edge and defensive naivety. One point from the last nine games tells the story, and it would require a turnaround of miraculous proportions to get us out of the hole we're in, but unfortunately I have to agree with Colin Blunstone here.

Thing with them/him is they seem to have every other year off, though, which he probably couldn’t get away with at a bigger club.

They made the play-offs in 17/18, then nearly went down in 18/19, then made the play-offs again the next year, then finished bottom half last season with Tshimanga, and are now going for the title despite replacing him with Scott Boden. Weird club.

Boreham went stale last season. Too many of the same ‘nearly’ faces that hadn’t quite made it before. They had no creativity in the midfield either leaving Tshimanga on scraps.

This season, they’ve made 3 of the best signings of the season that barely get a mention. Jacob Mandy at LWB gives them 2 excellent options in him and Kane Smith to bomb on yet tuck in when need be. Boden is a great signing as the Boreham way is defence first. They need the striker to be a fox in the box type who puts away the odd chance he’ll get. But the best signing, Josh Rees from Aldershot. One of the best goalscoring midfielders in the league over the past few seasons.

It’s no surprise they’ve only lost 2 games as they sign battle hardened players for this league who still have a lot to offer. Orsi-Dadomo and Reckord in recent weeks are such Boreham signings.

Anyone writing them off is a fool.

It’s a bit of a weird one that I can’t work out. We seem to have the problems away from home that you would expect a high-possession team to have at home (we can’t break teams down, can’t find any space to counter or get in behind), while at home if anything we seem to have a bit less of the ball than we do away but rinse teams on the counter attack constantly. Just as simple as there being a bit more space on a bigger pitch?

Doesn't work for us, ours is the biggest pitch in the division but we only seem to use a bit of it, usually the bit that's not a swamp.

Except when he was with us and he was toilet. The Danny Searle effect.

Rees was outstanding for us in the 2nd half of last season as soon as we signed Anderson and played Rees higher up the pitch (where he's a lot better). We've missed him a lot this season

Can’t say I agree Sam, I was really impressed when we signed him, thought he’d be a great signing, but from the start he never looked bothered and apart from a couple of games never looked anything other than ordinary. Agreed he looked better towards the end of the season but I suspect he was looking to impress for a move away.
