We could have even won the game in the end, which would have been absurd. A draw was a good result in the end but it shouldn't mask over how bad that first half was.

Yet to be convinced by Parkinson, he seems a very stand-offish and distant manager almost to the point of being a bit strange, doesn't look like there's any great harmony or that they are playing 100% for him.
I told you all this in pre-season and nobody listened...
If Undr the Cosh has taught me anything, it's that Parkinson is universally hated by everyone he's managed. Weird appointment that, in my opinion.
...add it to Luke Waterfall on my list of things I called correctly before a ball was kicked.

Dubious pen against us and two not given for handball and a drag back with Woking keeper getting man of the match, probably for his time wasting. What an utterly appalling side Woking are but they’ll probably make play offs, the new Sutton of the league faking injury, time wasting and diving.

Most of our lot have now played in all the games and it shows, very legging and awful decision making starting to cost us.

Saturday at Boreham is now a must win to stop this slide in results.
If only it was that simple!

Blatant pen as none of your players complained.

Wasnt aware your chest is now part of your arm, but happy to be corrected.

We’ve scored the third most goals per game in the league, having only played 3 home matches.

Oh and we haven’t played Weymouth, Kings Lynn or Barnet unlike you.

Chin up.

I wouldn't be worried

You've played 4 of the top 7. You've got 4 teams in the bottom 7 coming up. Wins those and you'll be fine
I still haven’t received my apology yet from you. I mean it I better get one or I will leave the board. Do you understand me you Essex yob? I hope Chertsey do you

It is Sam tracking back. He’s obviously hopeless, but lol at our midfield for that winning goal being… just Eli Sam? A striker who can’t run, in midfield on his own, in the 100th minute? Banter team.

I never said it was just Sam tbf. He just caught my eye the one time I could bear to watch it. The whole lot of em are responsible one way or another, it’s just that there’s apparently nothing he actually is good at.

I wonder how much we’re paying him and how much Halifax are paying Billy Waters? Maybe we should borrow their recruitment ‘model’.

Billy Waters has even surprised me. Simply does not stop running. What we have assembled is a bunch of players who will have been rejected elsewhere and made them a TEAM. That's the key word for me. A group of players who play as a team will always have a chance in any game if they play as a unit. He's a pretty decent finisher aswell. He scores harder chances than he misses sometimes.

We've got a good scout currently which has obviously helped with the recruitment of diamonds in the rough.

Had no idea just how good our 3rd goal was, that’s a thing of beauty that.

A joy to behold at the time and even better looking back at it. We’ve scored a couple of these quick, one touch into feet type goals this season so I’m sure it’s no accident.

People who think we rate McAtee purely on goals need to see our second and understand exactly why he’s so good

Can you add me into the ‘called it on Phil Parkinson gang’ please?

Yeah I’m having to stop myself going all Port Vale-esque here because some of the football were playing this season is magnificent and wouldn’t look out of place a league or 2 higher but I’m also not naive enough to expect it to be like this every week.

All the people on Undr the Cosh who dislike PP are fat lazy sods who hated training like Jon Parkin and Steven Davis . David Wheater couldn't have been more complimentary about him.

Jury is still out for me. You can see what he's trying to do tactically, and it will work in this division we just haven't quite got it right yet. That said we aren't too far off the pace despite our 'bad start'. If the Aldershot resukt had stood we'd be 7th. Plus weve got Barnet, Kings Lynn, Wealdstone etc coming up in the next few weeks, a few morale boosting wins and we are back on track.

Bit early to be writing off Phil Parkinson yet isn't it?

Completely. Luckily I imagine our owners (or more accurately their advisors) are a little less prone to panic than some of our fans.

That pass from Hunt into the box is absolutely class.

Well, as I said further up it's more that he's an awkward weirdo and terrible at man management. I also said him not knowing the division might be a factor. We'll see though, anything other than promotion for you lot is failure so that mine and Lew's assessment could well be bang on.

I’m a bit old school, give me a decent scout over a laptop every day of the week.

Just don’t start calling Waters the ‘Surrey Messi’ or some other bollocks or he’ll start trying to beat teams on his own and get booked every week.

Having had a look at the highlights it’s a penalty, but we should have had 2 if not 3 against Diarra, blatant handball and his WWF wresting tactics. Also our free kick looks over the line but debatable.

Could care less who you’ve played so far, not sure why you care so much about who we’ve played but thanks wasting your time by looking it up. My opinion is seeing you in one game and it’s was crap for a home side and like I said teams like that do well, you have a decent manager. Also you missed by last paragraph where I blame our tiredness on not getting something alongside the ref.

Chins are up for our play off hunt.

It’s the one you’ve all been waiting for, the David versus Goliath humbling at The Shay. A couple of thoughts:
- Obviously it should never have got that desperate, but we had both a clear penalty and goal ruled out at 2-2, but what are you gonna do, NL refs and that.

- Eli Sam should never, ever, play for my club again after his shameful actions for the winner, albeit a truly great strike by Warburton.

The disallowed goal is fair enough to be honest, Chicksen clearly fouling the ‘keeper. Blatant pen, though, can’t really see it in the video but the defender is pretty much pulling Wootton’s shirt off. Ref is the wrong side to see it, so can’t really blame him.

Biggest moment is probably the howler from
the young ‘keeper for the first Halifax goal. We were in no trouble really at that point, handed them a bit of initiative and hope out of nowhere.

Burch says that Pete Wild waited behind for him to apologise for his coaching staff’s actions at full time. Disgraceful, whatever it was, points deduction surely possible.

You think? I think he just stands there and the keeper (Johnson) just runs into him in a bid to get the ball. He’s under no obligation to move. Also a clear tug on Brennan’s (?) shirt before he nods it in and the ref blows up as well. But yeah, the pen should have been given. Also an unreal save from Johnson just after from the next corner.

Ah well, water under the bridge now, but it shows the fine margins of the game, any of those three count and it’s showing a bit of character to come back and win after being pegged back , instead of gutless, spineless players, etc. There really aren’t many shades of grey in football these days, if there ever were.

Agree on a shocker for Patterson for the first, keeps that out on 79 and it’s probably game over. Couldn’t believe when I checked and it was the same Slew who has been pretty anonymous since his big money from Sheff Utd to Blackburn all those years ago. I’d assumed he’d retired.

I'm the other way to you on those highlights.

Fuck all wrong with your disallowed goal. That'd be the one I'd be pissed off about

The penalty shout, he's tugging him as the other camera angle deliberatley shows us. Letter of the law is a pen but you see those all the time not given. And even more so from the ref's viewpoint.

Penalty for me. You can see the shirt getting tugged. The clearly simulated dive afterwards lost it for him.

I agree that I dont see anything wrong with the goal. Chicksen wasn't touching the keeper, he's entitled to stand where he was. Poor Keeper position/ defenders not offering him enough protection for me.

Lucky Halifax.
