Who do we get though? I think that's the issue. Speaking to the players after the game on Saturday to a man they all said they wanted Phil Brown to stay. Craig Fagan would be put in temporary charge but I don't think that's a better idea.
The only other name is Darren Currie, but he should have been hired in July 2020. Cannot see him giving up his job at Sheff Utd to come to our shitshow.
Dean Saunders or Gary Caldwell would be decent.

That's not a bad effort really from us
Its better than I expected after Woking away. Thought we'd take around 500, if it turns out to be 7/800 I think its an excellent turn out.

The gate could be over 9000. Proper.

I'm predicting a 0-1 away win, Danny Rowe to start and do absolutely nothing apart from twat in a 40 yard screamer.

No doubt he'll celebrate in front of our fans as well.

Off to Way-als tonight. Got a nasty gut feeling I'll be heading home empty handed, 2-0 Wrexham, Mullin to do us. A point would be a fine result tonight to stop us becoming further beleaguered.

No issues with the pitch so far, but it hasn't started raining yet. It can be fine all day, but an hour's rain just before kick off will see the game called off. The whole thing needs ripping up and re-laying with 18 inches of gravel between the soil and the clay bed.:ds:

Just booked my tickets from the Altrincham site; weather looking a lot more promising for tonight. Slow drive up from Shropshire with my son.

Over 1,000 fans travelling.
Pitch looking superb, get there early as its gonna be busy. Great effort that from your fans.

Is it raining in Halifax?

Having a beer in Leeds and it’s not raining here, barely has all morning the whole way up. Unless Halifax has its own microclimate, should be fine.

Still no mention of a pitch inspection so I'm guessing we are having a game at the Shay tonight. Stopped raining near the ground for now apparently.

:ffs: Halifax does indeed have it's own microclimate. Also, see my post above about the pitch. The pitch sits on top of a bed of clay, put in place to seal in noxious gasses from the former municipal tip underneath it. The clay prevents meaningful drainage. An hour's heavy rain will see the pitch flooded and the game postponed. :ds:

??? How long has he been a supporter? He should already know that an hour of heavy rain between now and 7.45 will be enough to flood the pitch and get the game called off.:ffs:

There's a Hell of a wind getting up right now, which usually brings rain with it, but which is itself a threat to the game.....

Night off from terrible Rusk ball for us so put an acca on so I can still put myself through some despair.

Improving Torquay and Barnet look good value and added Grimsby to the mix as well.
