Clayton Donaldson has resigned for us but at 37 will be a different kind of player.Played 40 times for Bradford City so should be good for this level.
Also Gilchrist from South Shields signed Saturday and Kurt Willoughby from Flyde early July,so strikers sorted.
Think Boston will take some stopping next year, plus Flyde looked good last season.
Gateshead seemed to of signed well.
Not really noticed any other signing at other clubs.

Id be genuinely shocked if we dont finish in the bottom three

No disrespect to the player in question (George Cowan) but we have just signed a young lad from Louth Town of the Lincs League (Step 7) Even by Step 7 standards thats a poor league. Cannot find any info on him at all. The Louth Town website is terrible and he isnt even listed on the Lincs League Website. Jesus.

Can’t wait for away fans to moan, when they find out it’s £20 at York next season.

Another tough league next year. I'd imagine York, Fylde and Boston will be fighting it out for top spot but genuinely any from another 9 or so teams will be thinking they could make up the rest of the playoff spots.

Yep good luck everybody. I can’t wait to get back watching football live. It’s going to be a tough competitive league once again. Can’t wait

Fixtures confirmed as being released on 7th July at 1pm. Hoping for as normal attendance as possible by then as need to make up for the loss of last season with some in person games.

As a Hertfordshire exile from Darlo will be hoping for good dates for the Brackley, Kettering, Gloucester and Leamington fixtures especially.

Hugely competitive league, it’s either Fylde or York to finish top for me. Feel a few dark horses will push them in Gloucester, Darlington and Gateshead.

Interested to see the effects the last 15 months have had on all the clubs; will be an interesting shape up indeed!

Been well documented we lost a ton of players to Chesterfield and everyone expected the wheels to fly off but Groves came in and carried on the good form. We're nowhere near as gun ho as we where under Rowe but on the flip side we looked so much better defensively.

Be interesting to see who we bring in. Daly left for Barnet, Morgan to Weymouth, Gold and Marsh Brown to Wrexham and Lovett to Maidenhead all after the league got binned so plenty to replace but very varied form among that list. The likes of McClure, Dawson, Jack James, Robert, O'Sullivan, Mensah etc all still here. Would be surprised if Dan Leadbitter doesn't join permanently after his loan but we'll see.

Ha, they were 2 of the ones I meant by varied form! KMB had one good game against Kiddy but looked disinterested for the others. Imagine he'll be heading back to the States when he can. We were spoiled with Asante so Gold was never going to be anywhere near that kind of replacement, that said at this level and with decent service he'd probably bag 10-15 a season.

KMB only played one game really, and another 5 minute cameo. He looked fine but didn't do a great deal. Gold was actually OK, he came and did the job he was asked to do, he even scored a couple of goals. But he's a limited player and I expect we want better.

Both have been invited back to train but I can't see either being signed on properly.

Interesting to hear that about Groves as when he came in as manager here (we’re talking donkeys years ago though) we were in the Championship relegation zone and he just went all out attack for the rest of the season and it was brilliant. We got a few tonkings along the way but we gave a few out too, in consecutive home games we beat Crystal Palace 5-2 and then Wimbledon 6-2 it was like just fuck the defence and we’ll try and outscore you and as fans we were all loving it, and that style meant we picked up enough points to end up staying up on the final day.
Good old Grovesie. :)

Couple of signings for us in quick succession, as expected Dan Leadbitter joins permanently. Looked a class act when he came in only to get a bad injury, which in the end didn't actually matter as they binned the season off. The other addition is also from last season, Jordan Young joins us from Coventry after his loan. Lethal from dead balls, scored an absolute peach of a free-kick against Kidderrminster. Was improving in every game so good to have him back again permanently rather than as a loan.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Should be able to get back to watching Curzon after a couple of seasons not sure what they are like as didn’t see much last year.

Their signings so far are the blend of released national league players and first choice northern league players pretty much.

Curzon seem to be banking on Stockport links with them on another level now, signed two players from their conf north winning side Alex Curran and Adam Thomas, going from their fan base signing Thomas is a real coop for this level.

also signed Jack McKay who was at Chesterfield, but went on loan to Airdrie last year, Jack Dunn who played for Warrington the last 2 seasons and Chris Remsjaw who was Wittons first choice goalie the last two years.

it will be a case of energy from the lower league players moving upwards hopefully mixing in from some experienced ex Stockport players who already proved it at this level and hoping that combo clicks.

I'd imagine York will be installed as bookie favourites as they always have been since they've dropped into this league. Fylde won't be far behind them if not joint favourites? The rest is a bit of a minefield.

Fully expected paying around £15 to £20 entering a new stadium. I can't vouch for other away supporters but I'd have no qualms in paying that price for an away fan.

Paying 20 quid to go to a new stadium in York, which is a decent town to spend a weekend, is not like spending 20 quid to go to a shit town in the middle of the country and to stand in a rundown cow shed.

Yeah, but York's new ground feels nearer to Scarborough....

This coming from someone who is in no position to moan about the location of football grounds as well.

Gilchrist should be useful he did well at South Shields bagging 30 goals. Due to family commitments he wanted to be closer to the North West.

I had no idea that York now had a new stadium, I hope for ethnicity’s sake they have taken the old away toilets with them and reused them somewhere in the new ground.

What for??? They've got 150 fans at best. Who's paying for all of this?

From what I know they have no drastic money, they have a couple of 3G pitches at the ground which gets them money other clubs don’t get

How to the lifting of the capacity restrictions effect you lot with half of the ground being in Wales with different rules ?

Won't affect us. Cheshire West & Chester Council hold our safety certificate. It's the reason why we were briefly allowed crowds in when we were in the tier system back in December.

We're almost certainly going to be at home, we've put in a request to be anyway apparently. First Saturday race meeting after restrictions lifted the Saturday after and the police likely wont want us both on the same day.
