Hearing of some players likely to be released...hopefully we've got suitable replacements coming in but frig me we're a few weeks in and the squad is all over the place. Josh Thomas was released yesterday but due to personal reasons rather than performances, he's currently injured anyway and unfortunately thats a bit of a recurring theme.

If Groves has any sense... Piggott goes back to Solihull, Harrison goes down a league on loan to get his confidence back and McGilp never sets foot in Gloucester again.

Dave, its clear that the young Gloucester players just dont relish a challenge, our lads harried them and invariably won the ball time after time, granted it was one of those days when every attempt seemed to be on target and several of them flew in. Go at them and you will cause problems.

Don't know specific reason why they chose not to but he refused to wear the appropriate footwear for our pitch, always wore studs which can invalidate the pitch warranty. Assume they thought he was a bit of a bellend because of that.

It’s a game between two teams who were hit by covid pre season and it’s taken time for both of us to get over this and get the players back to match fitness, the players who actually had covid are still struggling and look a shadow of there former selves.

Carlisle were top last Christmas when from all accounts half the squad maybe more had COVID during the big rise over December. It took them months to recover and they had one win in 13 games in early 2021.

Apparently they were after a lot more when we were originally interested on making it a perm during his loan spell (before he went to shit). Heard 100k mentioned so guessing they probably asked for somewhere in the middle from you guys.

Sutton is a very good CH, surprised he hasnt played more for Alty but had some injuries last year and will score some goals as well for you from set pieces.
Ceesay is frustrating, can be unplayable but his final balls often disappoint. He's that fast its said he can catch pigeons

I've never seen Sutton.

Ceesay is interesting. When he first turned up he looked very raw and unfinished, like he could be anything. Unfortunately, I think he just looks raw and unfinished. He looks ungainly, but he's faster than you think. I saw him have maybe 2 great games for us, the rest were average to middling.

Though I didn't go, I believe he had a stormer in the 7-0 at yours a couple of years ago.
