I bet you wish you had that ex Clitheroe player Alex Newby back in the team along with Nick Haughton! I'll never forget that 4-1 drubbing on that evening. When man of the match Haughton tore us apart I wanted to go home after half-time, could have been six or seven if it wasn't for our keeper.
My Lord what any team would give to have them 2 in their side, where absolutely blessed to have them, even you on that dark day for your side must have "enjoyed" Haughtons performance from a football fan perspective. Great players, both of them.

Wasn't John Johnston really highly rated at Alty? Always looked quality for them
Yes always destroyed us in games against them, but he's been poor for us. Has a turn of speed, but runs up blind alleys, is easy to disposess and never has an end product..

We are
3-0 Curzon and game over……..great result.

lets us have a free go at Boston next match and with their poor start who knows.

only two games but Chester, Chorley, Boston and York in bottom 5!!
We are 7th from bottom, but I get your point.

Listening to Anthony Johnson last night on Shane Pinnington's football show, these next two games v Gateshead (h) and Kidderminster (a) are vitual write-offs because the squad are not ready. The covid outbreak in the team has left them way off the pace.

More self-inflicted misery for Chester FC.

I think we're going to struggle this season. Every season this league get's better and we're not keeping up. I think Gateshead must have had 20 corners to our one.

Bloody hell we got an equaliser at the death.

Couldn't go but it sounds like Southport will be a real handful this season. They spent the second half playing for throw ins and launching it into the six yard box.

2 penalties for handball one for either side and both sounded contentious. Still unbeaten and onto Chester

We spent the second half attacking and you kept panicking and putting the ball out of play, we weren't exactly looking for throw-ins but knew what we were doing when we got them.

I couldn't say whether yours was a penalty or not as I was at the other end of the pitch. For our penalty, the ball definitely hit someone's arm, it could have been our player though:dk:

Like our match against Gloucester a couple of weeks ago, I'm happy with a point but on chances created we should have won comfortably.

I could only go off our commentary. It just sounded like you had a throw in every minute. And the commentator said you seemed to be playing for them.

Sounded like the ref wanted to be centre of attention in the first half as well.

Sadly the Chorley v BPA game abandoned following a serious injury to Jake Hibbs, Smith sent off for Chorley as a result of his challenge. Very sadly the player was still laying on the ground 45 minutes after the incident waiting for the arrival of an ambulance, this really isnt very satisfactory at all. Best wishes to the lad hope he makes a full and speedy recovery.

Yes everyone Hope's he makes a full recovery, the challenge didnt appear malicious, but was certainly very strong but in my view just unlucky that a player ends up in this sad situation. The ambulance response is very worrying though.

Absolutely magnificent hissy fit was thrown from Gateshead's keeper after we equalised in the 97th minute.

Smashed the ball in to the car park and started assaulting the goalposts then arguing with our fans as we wound him up.

Darlington 2-3 Alfreton

The COVID outbreak has cleared affected Darlington. We mullered them in the first hour. Could and real should have won by more. We foolishly sat back and almost allowed them back in but it would have been a travesty had we not won.

All three goals came from CBs but Dayle Southwell played well and deserved his goal only to see his wonderful shot cannon off the bar.

Saw nothing to be honest that showed we would struggle this season though

It was mostly his fault that the Ref added a minimum of 6 minutes injury time, he took forever to play the ball once they deservedly went in front, I know everyone does it but that doesn’t make it any easier to watch.

Wouldn't predict the season off these games, the players are clearly on their arse, can barely break out of a walk and hideously unfit. Weeks another one to add to the injury list after today. Criminal from Gateshead to fail to beat us. Will be even more so if Kiddy fail it on Monday.

Either that or we are just basically shite. We've known what's wrong for years but nothing gets done about it, absolutely desperate for some height in our tiny defence. And also we know how Billy Heath plays his style of football in which to his credit was well executed!

Your right you should have finished us off, could have been four or five or should I stretch it to six?
We gave you a head start and got caught with our pants down. And the second half we pulled em back up rolled our sleeves up made a few changes. Hey presto we suddenly got a bit of motivation. All too late without a doubt we didn't deserve a draw in the closing stages.

It's too early to judge from what I've seen. But I'd have to be concerned with our disorganized defence.

Jekyll and Hyde performance at Guiseley. Took the lead after a few minutes through Jordan Young, could have scored more. Second half, just never got going. 2 quick goals conceded with Tom Harrison having a mare and we left pointless. We've still got O'Sullivan, Mensah and Jack James to come back from injury but don't think we've properly replaced Daly/Morgan at the back yet.

It is rumoured Jake Hibbs has a double leg fracture. The Chorley player received a RED card after the referee consulted his linesman. It is important we wait for the referee report and video evidence before comment which it seems both clubs are respecting.I hope there was no intent because it could end the lad's career.

Well whatever happens tomorrow we've got a point more than Jonno was expecting after hearing him talking to Shane on Friday. Despite everything he still put square pegs in round holes. Awful positional choices. Just waiting for them to score which took them 65 minutes. Criminal not starting with George Waring.

Not surprised. They should have had that done and dusted before h/t. We were absolutely woeful.

Harvey did not do this maliciously. The ball was there to be won but he mistimed the tackle and it was a crunching tackle to say the least but there was no intent.
Harvey was distraught on the sidelines as Jake was receiving medical attention.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Think Curzon darlo may be all about fatigue and who holds best.

Curzon with 3 games in 6 days with small pet time squad and darlo still lacking match fitness getting g two quick games.

first half may be vital as both sides may be too lacking fitness wise to mount much second half

Beat Southport 2-1. We had ten men for the second half. Delighted with the start we’ve had
