Watching 10 minutes of Chorley game while waiting the 8pm start, Darlo self destructed one down wary then a red card when one of the Darlo players tried to hack someone in half

That was Nelson (our lone forward) who was sent off.

So down to 10, no forward on the pitch, central defender Lawlor just subbed injured, and 1-0 down.

If we get anything today it will be a miracle.

2-0 now.

We've already lost 4-0 away twice, and a 5-0. Hammering number 4 on the way.

Chorley 3 Darlington 0 after less than 30 minutes. Fucking embarrassing.

Curzon all over again tonight.

Simply cannot break down the two banks of four set up.

Bit unlucky with the 2nd goal being a deflected strike

Our night summed out by our star summer signing getting stretched off in his 2nd game back from injury

Just can't write it, our typical luck

Chorley 8 Darlington 0

The most embarrassing, humiliating score line I've ever seen as a Darlington fan. It sounds like 2 or 3 of the goals were absolutely comical as well.

Scunthorpe will put 15 past us on Saturday.

One of those nights for us, nothing seemed to go right. Going down to 10 due to injury for the last 10 mins just summed up the game. Could tell Kings Lynn wanted it badly tonight, players never stopped working.

Fair play to Lakeland, he's done a job on us twice this season with two different teams.

Our style of football has and will win us a lot of games this year but it can become quite one dimensional as shown by tonight, just can't seem to break teams down who sit back and counter.

I am sure our fans will massively overreact and act like the world is ending because we lost, I am glad our managers and players aren't so reactionary.

Blyth at home tonight, not one I can get to as midweek games I have to watch the kids but I may buy it if shown tonight on national tv.

Need to keep the run going we seem to have ditched draws this season when last few years we used to draw most of the time.

Apart from Chester game we are playing well and creating good opportunities but simply don’t have the money for someone to whack them into net (well until Peers rejoins from Chester)

Akwasi Asante just signed for Darlington from Chesterfield
He'll get you goals , but he'll spend a lot of time on the treatment table.

Expected a manager who “knows the league*” to do better in these difficult away games.

*he managed in it for six months but that fact has already been disregarded by some Scunny Fans

Why do you only ever chirp up when we lose?

You were silent when we won back to back home games 6-0 and 6-1

It can't be healthy living with such negativity in your life

Feel for Darlo fans tonight they were absolutely shocking from start to finish. The Red card obviously didnt help but his foot was nearer the Chorley players waist than the ground. Some very good goals scored and yes a crazy own goal from 20 yards or more lobbed right into the top corner. Whitehouse claimed the match ball converting the Penalty that was the last kick of the game.
I really do fear for Darlo, clearly Gowling hasnt a clue!

We used to wrap Asante up in cotton wool ,we played him for 60 minutes which was usually enough time for him to score one or two then we would bring him off. Still managed to pick up a few injuries but he was some player.

I remember going to Chester on his debut and I think he produced the goods with three cracking goals.

He is made of glass like!

From a Chorley Fan's point of view I bet it was a joy to watch.

Mint! 8-0 :surr:

Wow Darlo- genuine sympathy. Cant have been any fun for yer- suppose at least u got home for midnight. Could have been B Stortford etc.
That is some slight consolation, mind.
I see u mentioned Hazel being pushed out - is that official? Has he been sold on, as ive not seen him announced as a signing at curzon, Macc, bury etc

On a side note, dunno if anyone has heard the stuff about Pickering Town? They are gonna move in at/next to Flamingoland - which is near but not actually in the town. So basically leaving their ground and home town. Assuming Gordon Gibb (F'Land owner and 1 time Bradford C co-owner) is gonna now bankroll them. Another Rushden n diamonds/ Flyde, to an extent. BIG plans for a ground/complex too - looks league standard... for their 50-100 fans...

good draw at southport for us last night. Id have taken that at 7pm yesterday given we have an awful record there. The div looked to spread out slightly after last night's games- some have games in hand tho' so could tighten back up.

Yes it was a joy to watch, but I cant get my head round what Moke was trying to do when he put the ball in his own net from 25 yards? He was out wide on our right 10 yards in from touchline and chose to lob the ball back in the geberal direction of his own goal, unbelievable. Obviously the red card and the injury to your CB made a difference but you seemed to play as if it didnt matter. BIZARRE!

Seems like us and Darlo are canon fodder. We are the longest serving member at step 2 apparently, that record will go in May.

Rumoured you or Scarborough. Not sure how much truth in that, but he wasn't even on bench last night.

I’d not rule it out yet, this league has produced a few big comebacks in previous seasons although yes 4 down now makes it tough.

But Blyth and Farsley are recent examples of big great escapes. Plus at this level you can keep bringing in players so can improve squad unlike leagues with transfer deadlines.

The league is very tight most teams winning and losing not many draws, if you can get a run going you can close gap on afew as Southport and Kings Lynn have shown.

Biggest issue at both clubs currently is their whole atmosphere seems in decline and needs a spark.

Scunthorpe have purchased Glanford park from the previous owner.
Hopefully by the end of the season the remaining tumors will be removed and we’ll have a club to be proud of again.
