Poor against Burton. Gave away early penalty, and huffed and puffed for remainder of game without looking like equalising. Badly missed Main. Toothless when he isn't there. Think 4 hard games in 10 days caught up with us - Leamington and Kidderminster away, then Curzon at home with 10 men for 40 minutes, and Buxton.
Why were you playing a L1 team?

We'll be happier with the point than you are.

Terrible biased ref and Spencer is a shithouse.

Other than that you play good football and had us stretched when we were down to 10 men. I thought we weren't going to hang on but we did.
Every team needs one like that. Don't think we've got one.

I find more each team needs to know how to play like that, I think it’s why some ex league and full time teams strugggle…….some games need quality, others you need to be an ar*whole club on the pitch.

The Curzon not scoring line is what will cost us the title I think had we been able to sort that in summer we’d walked the league this season, amount of games our inability to score especially at home has cost us maybe 20 points now

We just lost one of our best players and maybe one of the best defenders in league Devon Matthew’s, sold to Accrington.

Be interesting ti see if it effects anything

Such is life... but disappointing when the team is doing so well on the limited budget. Nice to see Curzon flying high - a team that doesn't think its better than the league and isn't being somewhat bankrolled (cough... Brackley).

Speaking of Brackley, Calum revealed yesterday that he's received a written apology from them about their fans behaviour from our game at their place in December. Numerous fans banned. Unlike with us it won't be made public though. Don't worry, I'll do that.

Never anywhere near the angels they portrayed themselves out to be.

You cannot stop a player down here getting his chance in the football league regardless how important they are especially if part time as it may be their only chance.

Glad it’s with someone like Accy so he won’t sit in reserves

Never try to portray themselves as angels. I don't remember it being the Brackley fans pushing the narrative about the incident at the playoff match 2023 - there really wasn't anything much said this end other than it was a shame, given long time football fans with their kids had been scared. It was the Chester fans who were embarrassed at how yobos had tarnished their club's name, and Chester as a club apologising and banning 30+ people.

Turning it into 'oh the Brackley fans made such a fuss' and trying to create some sort of artifical rivalry, is just a false narrative. No news about any bans on the Brackley website - but if they were being dicks, I hope were banned.

The Chester juggernaut keeps rolling on and we are enjoying the ride while it lasts, another away test next week at South Shields ,the fourth in a row.

I've not been to a match since the New year's bore draw with Southport. I've been unwell and have missed 7 games and we've won them all.

Iwan Murray superb today. I don't get how he's barely 5ft tall but thrives against the big teams, in terms of physical size. They are the games you would think of not playing him in, but they end up the games he's most effective.

Stability would win you the title every time someone has surged up there they collapse a month later, normally Chester would not be where they are but Scunny, kings Lynn, Chorley, Curzon and Kiddy have all poorly slipped up, that is unusual but they need to now keep it going

Alfreton 0-2 Southport

A great win for us after a shocking run of former, with only 1 win in 13 games prior to tonight. Alfreton missed a couple of chances early on, after that we were the better side and scored with a counter-attack and a header from a free kick. Our first double of the season, and the masters of anti-football weren't happy about it! The result probably keeps Jim Bentley in a job, as it was looking a bit sketchy for him.

Good display from the Magpies who confidently beat full time Buxton with goals from Ellis, Blakeman and Calverley, after the first 20 minutes Buxton offered little threat and Chorley were able to extend their unbeaten ru will be much more difficult on Aaturday at Kiddie.

Terrible have been neglecting Curzon with the fun and laughter that is the Carlisle sideshow.

We signed a player yesterday for money striker from Macclesfield.

Huge few days you could argue our title chances come or go in the next four days, kings Lynn home then scunny away.

To be fair isn’t many easy games but we had one last week and only drew because as usual miss masses of chances and then just scrape a draw.

Sadly expect 0-1 defeat here we will suit their tactics will dominate will miss chances will lose

More chance midweek win

Can't believe the turn around in our form, unbeaten now in 8 and won last three, terrific 3 points today away at Kiddy, now on to a tough home game on Tuesday against Brackley, all to play for again.

I can believe it, you're obviously a quality team. You had a bunch of injuries, had a bad patch, it happens.

I'd appreciate it if you can turn shit again for the Darlo match.

A comfortable win in the end against Marine on Saturday. Thought they were the most limited side we've seen at ours this season. We seemed to coast through the first half as though we knew we were the better team and a win was inevitable. Loose passing, slow build up play. no urgency, and we go in 1-1. Second half, we picked the tempo up and once we went ahead the result was never in doubt. Don't think they had a shot second half. Bit concerning that we could only muster 4 for the bench, although for some bizarre reason Kaden Kelly was unable to play for us, despite having signed on loan for the remainder of the season, as he is on a 10 day trial with Stockport! Jack Lambert gone back to Kidderminster. Just hasn't worked out this time. Salkeld, Maskell and Nelson all out with injuries, but young lad on loan from Boro looked promising in his 20 minute cameo. Needed, as we only have Main available up front at present.

Season seems to be collapsing and away at scunny is not quite the game you want

But it’s away from home and ANYTHING away from home gives us a chance

Our home performances should have us nearer the bottom and no where near the top the away performances is really our only hope to keep going.

The one good thing for Curzon is our fixture list gets much easier after today think we have only about 3 of the top half left

Our season is also collapsing. Phil Brown is being very naive in his approach in 2025. So many obvious mistakes and underestimating how teams will play.

We've played Chorley for years a d they consistently beat us. We know they'll set up and play for set pieces and try to bully us. And we let it happen. Same happened v Rushall.

Our problem. Has been there all season and never addressed……home form

It’s utterly atrocious and we’d possibly walked the league this season had it improved, sadly they need to find an alternate way to play at home but at too used to a perfect away system.

We'll when we got promoted we were 21st or something in the league for home form. And 2nd in the league for away. So you could finish 6th or 7th and you've got a great chance

Your 4-0 win against us was a defining moment in our season. There were calls for Calum to be sacked. Fortunately things changed and we've been on a tremendous run. 22 points from 27 this Calendar year and a big one tonight v Kidderminster.

Was surprised by your defeat at South Shields. They seem very hit and miss.
