One guy on Shotsweb said he wouldnt swap any of your players for ours. Aldershot fans are delusional and that tinpot set up is a disgrace even for this level.
That was Reg, who’s MO is to bait fucknuts. Looks like he caught a whopper with you. As to facilities, did you ever go to Saltergate?

I couldn't support a team whose only hope is to play act and scream for fouls and bookings. The fact you are proud of that performance shows you have low standards in your life, noone wonder you support that shower.
Hmm.

To be fair to Kewell (which I really don’t want to be), it did work first half. We had a lot of the ball but struggled to create many clear chances and it was pretty even going into half time. What was weird was that he didn’t change it once we got in front - then it was quickly 3-0 and game over.
The scary thing from our perspective is that Rodrigues and Roberts got three goals between them but were miles off what they can be. It was Palmer/Francis in midfield and DKE/Taylor at wing back that took control of it really.

What position did Roberts and Rodrigues play?

Disappointed to conceded so late but I thought a draw was probably a fair result in the end. Some great goals from both teams. Shocked how little Solihull fans were there considering it was the 1st game. We are definitely still 2 quality midfielders and atleast 1 good CB away from being a title challenging side. A lot of players rumoured in the last 24 hours. Hopefully the injury too RHJ isn't too serious we don't have many defenders fit as it is

All the Chesterfield posters on here are decent, but it appears someone has kicked a turd and these two wandered out.

These two new Chessie fans are the same person, aren’t they? They/

What position did Roberts and Rodrigues play?

Both had a free role pretty much. Rodrigues just in behind Wootton to the left, and Roberts to the right. But really looked like they could do what they wanted and find space. They got into some great positions but were a bit wasteful with the final pass/shot (in a game we won 5-0!), particularly Cal. They’ll get the headlines but the best thing from our perspective was the performances of some the less lauded players - Francis was superb, as were Taylor and Kelly-Evans.

Rodrigues is a ridiculous footballer for this level, mind. He’s a creative attacking midfielder who takes great set pieces and scores from long range but who also finds space in the box to score headers and tap ins. Is why we didn’t need to go out and get a marquee striker - he’ll get the goals of a Tshimanga/Mullin/Madden while doing the midfield stuff as well. He’ll finish our top scorer I think and wouldn’t be surprised if he was right in the mix to finish top scorer in the division. Will make us a fortune next summer. The new recruitment model hasn’t got everything right, but when you can find someone like him on a free and a three-year deal…

Haha, the absolute state of these “two” Chesterfield “fans”. Seriously, who has enough time on a Sunday afternoon to make 2 accounts for a forum, only to slag off a relegation-threatened team that you’ve comfortably beaten? Strange, strange man.

Ta Jacob. I wasn’t overly impressed with Francis in PS so glad to hear he looked good.

Worry with him is defensively I think, as he is supposed to be our holding midfielder. Didn’t really get tested in that sense. Great passing range, though.

Just a heads up, if you want to know where the money is coming from , we had the foresight to take insurance out that covered the epedimic.
Kind Regards Furlough FC, cheats, and every other name you soft feckers can come up with

Having a minute's silence for Covid victims then providing 6 porta loos for near on 700 fans makes your club pathetic. Aldershot the next superspreaders

Whinging, haha like Casey. He had a poor game positionally by his standards, there where a couple of occasions when the ref was definitely out of earshot.

On a different note, you’ve got yourselves a good player with Jack ‘Baresi’ Cook. Hopefully you don’t try and play him at right back like we usually did.

Aldershot are a good solid club. Got a lot of time for them so please leave it out Carson. No need for it. Aldershot wont go down but Chesterfild wont go up either. That will be Wrexham and Bromley

Chuffed with yesterday's performance, more than the result. Should have won by more, could have been made to pay late on. Shocking stamp by Morias was deservedly adjudged straight red. Arrangements for an expected large travelling fan base, or lack of them has already been covered.

So on a different tack, glad Phil Brown has already stamped his personality on the team (that is an appropriate one!) and a mix of new signings and those he has deemed worth retaining from last season seems to have got off on the right foot.

He loves a 1-0, but as he said, the game was anything but in his post match interview. Nice to see our away support labelled as "Incredible" by the Non-league paper. Don't think that was for the numbers, but the atmosphere and noise, which was top dollar.

Managed a quick word with PB post match and he said he had wanted the team to put a marker down for the season today in attitude and to show the fans they cared for the shirt, but the fans who stepped up to the plate and beyond, showing the team they care for club and the players and he was able to tell them in the dressing room afterwards that that is why he came back and is choosing them to turn out for Southend and wear the shirt this season, to put the pride back into the club. Do that and look at the backing you will get from the fans.

Sam Dolby, if I had to pick out an individual, but all the players did their jobs admirably, was what I hoped for from the player in a competitive match and if he develops from here, he will be as great a signing, as I hoped he would be.

The kings Lynn fans met were friendly and a credit to their club. Our aims as clubs may be different this season, but the passion is just the same, which is how it should be, with a pint shared at the end!!
Easy to do after you have won, I know, but I have had too many with opposing fans after games in the last three seasons with the boot on the other foot.

Early days and 1 game down, but more positivity in our ranks now than in last three seasons put together.

Good Luck Linnets and I am looking forward to what next Saturday brings.
