Think a few Chester fans would drive him there for you.
I would like to think so, it's certainly a case of unfinished business with him here after the way both his previous spells ended. He has proved at Northwich he can work in the part-time environment which would have been my major concern knowing how meticulous he is. It would be very good time for him to come in with no pressure on the remainder of the season and nobody in the squad is contracted beyond the summer so he can put together his own squad for the start of next season.Do you think Gannon would take the job? I must admit, I'd like to see him at Altrincham.
Never heard of 'imJim gannon has just been given the stockport gig
And there was you telling me it won't happen, bet you have never been happier to be wrong? This is ace. Massive respect for those at the club who could see past what happened in the past and admit that Gannon was the best appointment on balance.

Nah he's rubbish, just ask Ashley Williams. He's not actually that good though is he?
Because just before Jim Gannon was appointed first time round Williams was struggling to get in our team (who were bottom of league two) and our then numpty boss Chris Turner and his even more moronic assistant Colin West wanted to get rid of him and he was about to head to Tamworth. Over the course of the next two years Gannon and the rest of the coaching staff helped Williams turn his potential into something special, winning the north west player of year award ahead of the likes of Rooney and then getting his first welsh cap before transferring to Swansea 400k.Why, what's Ashley Williams got to do with Jim Gannon being any good? He used to play for Stockport but is now currently playing for Swansea where he has for years having come up through all the leagues with them and improved himself along the way. Why's Lord Gannon getting credit for that one?
Gannon is the equivalent of Keegan to the Newcastle fans isn't he, they just can't let it go.

Of course Gannon didn't make Williams but there is no doubt he did play a key role.
Well not it isn't because if you read the post I didn't say he made him the player he became but what I did say is he had a hand it. Unlike Turner and Mcllroy he spotted the potential in Williams straight away and helped his career progress to the next stage, I don't really see how you can argue that. Especially with limited knowledge on the situation. That's like saying Macc/Gil Prescott/County made Rickie Lambert the player he became. He/We/You didn't.

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swans-star-ashley-williams-out-1937431Williams played 159 times for County before going to Swansea, a near ever present from March 2004 onwards, not sure that fits with "Struggling to get into your team prior to Lord Gannon magically spotting him!
The whole Stockport/Gannon thing is incredibly weird.

No he didn't, Chris Turner nearly sent him out on loan to Hednesford until Gannon gave him his chance
