Tough one away at Northampton for us. I'm not expecting us to get anything at all out of it.

Brizl Rovers doing very well at the moment (albeit with better home form than away) so I'm expecting an away win.

They only need score and then I expect the atmosphere to turn toxic, which won't help anyone other than the opposition, but we are where we are.

One of the things our owner is very keen on is random firework displays post-game, which I think is a terrible idea - obviously they have to be planned in advance regardless of the result of the game, but if you win it looks churlish, like you're celebrating your cup final, if it's a draw - why are you celebrating a "meh" result, and if it's a defeat then it's even weirder.

So I hope we read the room and kick this idea well into touch.

Carlisle away. It's a nailed on defeat for us....we love giving a hand to teams who are in dire form and rarely follow one good win with another.

I thought Carlisle were OK when we played them at Vale. Pretty toothless but not terrible. Moxon tried to do everything himself and wanted to take every free kick and corner....with mixed results. His team mates looked a bit annoyed with him at times.

Edmondson was a good trier at the Vale but lacked quality. Butterworth had fleeting glimpses of quality mixed with a lot of nothing. Holy probably one of the worst goalkeepers we've had.

We need to be on it to get anything at all.

Who knows what Vale will turn up! We’ve got a decent away record and are in promotion form over the last 5 games (guess it makes it hard to understand the fans being against Crosby).

We’ve finally found a way to score goals hitting 2 or 3 in 4 of our last 6 after barely scoring all season so things are a bit perkier but we go into a run of games against teams at the bottom or out of form so it’s crucial now to really hammer home the momentum and tick of the wins we need sooner rather than later.

Carlisle is never easy despite their fans on here! We’ve still got 9 or 10 out and this is the last of playing every 3 days for nearly a month now.

Whilst the two 16 year old youth teamers did really well yesterday and when they came on Boxing Day it’s not an ideal situation still.

Draw would be ok here but a win would really push us up away from relegation spots and set up January nicely, finally a few midweeks off and a chance to get bodies back.

Liked the Uche/Wilson partnership especially allowing us to go direct and big Uche to do the bullying and Wilson to feed off that.

Keep that please, maybe Grant in for one of the young full backs here and hopefully Sang is back.

Big game at Reading. If we lose we go change places and go into the bottom four. We have a solid starting line up at the moment but they looked tired at the end, and sadly we don't have many options coming back.
Still think we can get something here though.

We’re no where near as ok as we were back then. Callum Guy doing his ACL has lost us the competitiveness and solidity that we had. We’ve got worse as the season has gone on and we’re so easy to beat it’s frightening.

And Butterworth is absolutely shite.

Another defeat for the worst team in League 1 history.

Move on. It’s January, hopefully some new players arrive to at least take us down with some dignity.

Fleetwood home.

This is going to be an incredibly dull game low on quality. We won’t score, best we can hope for is a 0-0. The home crowd will be turning massively if we can’t beat a very poor Fleetwood team with their 100 away fans on NYD on our home turf.

Salop 0-1 Fleetwood

I liked Butterworth, popped up with a few big goals for us but was one of those who could go missing and you could never really figure out what position he should play.

This is f*cking amazing

Feeling confident about this one, but you’re our bogey team it feels like. Especially at your place

Well we could of course accidentally set them off early *during* the game and then probably the game would have to be abandoned for health and safety reasons…

But anyway - I’d be amazed if you didn’t get at least a draw, we’re so crap going forward at the moment, and we don’t even seem to score from set pieces any more.

Not at all confident about this one. We're not playing well and Stevevansanage are conveniently well rested. 1-2

Well, we always gift one goal, so you'll get that. The question is really how many will we score to determine the result

Cheltenham at home. Tough game but the pressure to win is a little relieved after cracking wins over Oxford and Lincoln recently. Can see us rotating a few, and taking a point from this one which keeps us ticking over.

Think this January window will be very important to your club that you get it right. It could be a make or break time.

Blackpool away - We're in stinking form with selection issues all over. For some reason I'm going as well :ffs:

IF we turn up and play with a bit of belief then we should get something at Reading, but I have a suspicion they’ll get ahead and run out comfortable 2-0 winners.

Reading got a very good draw at Peterborough recently which shows they’re a good team. We’re playing much better but, at the end of the day, we lack any kind of real goal threat.

Port Vale at home.
It's a must win game, going into the new year on only 17 points is horrendous.
We can't afford to drop points against Vale and Exeter.

With Cambridge not played for 6 days they will have the edge on us in our game, we've lost a few players due to injuries due to all the games and our attacking options are a bit limited for this game. Dan Agyei can't really start yet so Joe Piggott will have to play.

I can see the game getting to 60mins and a few changes having to be made, we had to do similar against Wycombe because a few players are carrying knocks and fatigue.

I'll be happy with a draw here due to the circumstances and move on, I can see us tiring towards the end. We'll have to score first to stand any chance of getting something out of the game.

Don't think Cambridge will be as bad as they was in the reverse fixture......!

I would'nt listen to rumours. Matt Taylor has stated we will be doing business but only very small.

Always struggle with Burton, same with Morecambe in recent seasons. They offset our rhythm, disrupt the tempo, make it bloody horrible which we let rattle us every single time. Hoping we can do a number on them for once but I feel like we'll eek out an ugly 1-0 win with Victor poaching a goal against his old club.

Away at Blackpool with six of our first XI out doesn't exactly scream away win, does it? It sounds like we've appealed O'Connor's red card from the Northampton game, though.

One last game before a well needed two week break.
