Away at Blackpool with six of our first XI out doesn't exactly scream away win, does it? It sounds like we've appealed O'Connor's red card from the Northampton game, though.

One last game before a well needed two week break.
To be fair we beat them 3-0 Friday with 8 or 9 out and starting two youth teamers for their full league debuts in both wing back positions.

They were similar to us at our worst, loads of slow possession with little end product. Be organised and it’s winnable.

They're shite away from home though, but have the best home record in the division.

With Cambridge not played for 6 days they will have the edge on us in our game, we've lost a few players due to injuries due to all the games and our attacking options are a bit limited for this game. Dan Agyei can't really start yet so Joe Piggott will have to play.

I can see the game getting to 60mins and a few changes having to be made, we had to do similar against Wycombe because a few players are carrying knocks and fatigue.

I'll be happy with a draw here due to the circumstances and move on, I can see us tiring towards the end. We'll have to score first to stand any chance of getting something out of the game.

Don't think Cambridge will be as bad as they was in the reverse fixture......!

Sounds like a fair fight to be honest, we've not got a striker at all and the others who'd slot in at a pinch are injured too. Couldn't fill a bench properly last match.

As you say, nothing to change to after 60 minutes is a part of it, that's what cost us 1/3 points at Oxford.

Still, should be a full house and a good atmosphere, it's usually a decent encounter between us. Assuming we actually turn up this time.

Port Vale at home.
It's a must win game, going into the new year on only 17 points is horrendous.
We can't afford to drop points against Vale and Exeter.

What? We're literally goal difference off the top half with a game in hand, and you're rock bottom and cut adrift already? Acting like we're in the bottom four with you.

One defeat and Vale fans seem like they are in the bottom 4...

That’s exactly why we need points and it’s must win. I don’t know why you’re so surprised that we’re desperate for points in the next 2 games. We can’t afford to keep losing and be cut further adrift.

Yeah we owe this lot a good tonking. Even when we managed to win there we still went down. Id take anything even an OG from that belter Low
Honestly, nothing would give me greater pleasure today than tonking Wycombe 5-0, their atmosphere getting really toxic, and then they let off the fireworks at the end of the game.

Bolton away.
We might nick a point here. Relax Bolton fans - we are not as bad as the shithousery tactics now Dino has gone.
Will be a tough game but we have a good record against them over the years.

Fair call we have been dross at home at times this season Wigan, Carlisle and Bristol Rovers have gone away with all 3 points

Cheltenham at home. Tough game but the pressure to win is a little relieved after cracking wins over Oxford and Lincoln recently. Can see us rotating a few, and taking a point from this one which keeps us ticking over.
We're 9th in the form table, they're 10th. Neither are particularly better home or away. I think I'd probably expect a draw from this to be honest, tougher than the league positions suggest.

The kids play again which is a huge gamble away from home in my view. Hopefully do well as they did Friday but think it’s somewhat of a gamble when you have Massey and Grant available here.

No strikers, so we've recalled a teenager who's been out on loan with St Ives in Step 7. Straight onto the bench.

We're without 9 (nine!) first teamers today Roughan, O'Connor and Erhahon the latest to miss out. It's an absolutely stinking side overall.

We've recalled a lad from Peterborough Sports and the lesser spotted Brown is on the bench.

Second best for much of that half. Shorrock having a tough time with Emmanuel, might be looking at going for the more experienced Conor Grant. Carlisle look dangerous on set pieces and pressed us well. Would take being level based on how that’s gone.

Started well, Cheltenham coming back into it. Looks destined for a point apiece.

Dreadful from us that half, losing Debrah is a massive blow to a huge injury crisis as well.

Why do we always give teams in dire form a leg up?

Causing our own problems with sloppy play, silly free kicks and Shorrock is having a poor game.

I’d take the two young lads off at half time and try and get a grip. Need a collective huge bollocking for that effort.

Our team looks like they were out on the piss as well last night. Shows how important Wilson and Hunt are as we are very poor without them

Much more intent second half from us and we’re ahead after a penalty. Freestone booked which should have been his 3rd of the afternoon, committed two absolute stonewall yellows first half and got away with them so he’s a very lucky boy.

Carlisle deserved to win that. Piss poor from us to throw it away like that starting with Smith on the penalty then Balmer giving their man a free header in stoppage time off a corner.

Embarrassing throw away of a game that. Crosby hasn’t helped himself again.

Regardless of being down to the bare bones you have to be capable of defending a basic corner.

Ruined all the good work over the last week. Awful

Relegation performance and a huge worry

I think you guys are similar to us, not good enough to challenge but good enough to stay up. Results are always going to be up and down

Bare bones today like a lot of teams, but we ground out a win. Both teams had their chances but we turned a draw into a win and counter attacked really well all second half.

3 wins from 4 over Christmas, 7 wins in 10, absolutely flying with the injuries we've got and how players are having to be managed minutes wise. Starting to feel more comfortable about avoiding a relegation battle now.

It’s the performances that are the main concern. Decent one week diabolical next. Again we are down to bare bones and can’t keep players fit so end up the last 20 with either youth players or getting through with weak back ups.

Scowan sent off for a kick to the face that Mr Miyagi would have been proud of. Wycombe should have been down to 9 men if Vokes had got his 2nd yellow in the first half

From that angle then yes, absolutely it looks like a straight red.

I've seen it from another angle though, and it looked like a 50/50 challenge where *both* players went in high, and Scowen's boot slips off after the challenge and catches him.

As for Vokes, the ref was giving him absolutely nothing even when your defenders were wrestling him all over the shop and literally pulling his shirt halfway off him, so no sympathy there.

Also a few even on your forum saying that the so-called "second yellow" was nothing of the kind.

Make that 10 with Sorenson going off this afternoon.

Done by a set pieces (surprise, surprise) and an individual error.

It's a big two weeks for us without a game - we need bodies in and bodies back.

Truly truly awful today, with the lack of strikers only being half the problem today. We’ve gift wrapped Orient the easiest 6 points they will get all season. Unless our January window is exceptional, I think we are in real trouble. Yet another hamstring injury today means we’ve now lost Thomas as well.
