Swindon at home for us, big game to start the new year. Hoping for 14/15k at Home Park. Can we keep Doyle quiet?

Macclesfield at home. We’ve just come off a great result and performance against the best team in the league so this usually means we are going to follow it up and lose in dismal fashion in a game we are the favourites. That’s the pattern with Vale.

May have to rotate some of the squad as a quick turnaround from the last game and the Man City game to follow.

Hopefully right the wrongs of the stinker at Moss Rose when Askey dropped a bollock with this tactics and selection.

They are a tough nut to crack drawing a lot (as do we) but hopefully with the level of performances we’ve been putting in lately we will get the win.

Assume now it will go ahead or is non payment of wages tomorrow possible and thus see them refuse?

Carlisle at home, no excuses for not winning. Yes, they had a good result last time out, but that was over 10 man Walsall. I expect we'll go with the same team has we had against Scunny. Should be enough to get the job done.

Hopeful for another multi goal win, but I'll take whatever win we can get.

Away to Newport - we have a shaky record there but haven't lost away in 10 games now. We also can't score goals so get your money on a draw.

As mentioned, The Shrimps at home.

We’re incredibly average, but have the best home form in the league. They’re incredibly shite, from the outside looking in - what could possibly go wrong.

I’d just like to see a passing game of football, please Bowyer. A goal from open play wouldn’t go amiss, either.

Presumably the same starting XI

CB: Ben Richards-Everton

We have problems with injuries and I fear against a Plymouth side on good form. I went to the home game and it was the game of 2 halves where we were good first half but Plymouth came out in the second half and deserved their point.

I can't see us getting anything - 2-0 Plymouth.

Stevenage at home is a big ’should win’. But they seem to have tightened things up recently and I can’t see them coming and making it an open game.

Hate New Year’s Day games, you just sit there feeling like a bag of shite for 90 minutes and the games are always flat and boring.

Swindon are obviously top for a reason but I feel it’ll be potentially a great game in front of a big crowd with 2 attacking sides that try to play football the right way, a win for us would be huge

Plymouth nearly lost against Stevenage last week. They only won through a fluke in the last minute of stoppage time after being outplayed for 90 minutes. Nailed on Swindon 3-0 win.

Mansfield at home. I have no idea what Cambridge United will turn up so will go for 1-1.

Vegans away for us.
Just don’t lose imo. Win our home games, draw our away ones. Simple as that.

The things I'd do to come away with a point from Home Park tomorrow! We are the walking wounded and will have a makeshift defence, and Plymouth are the inform team. Go easy on us Pilgrims.

I hope tomorrow will be retribution for the time Carlisle stuck 5 on our patch 2 seasons ago. But we can't play down to them like we did Mansfield. I do fancy us though. 3-1 win.

We won pretty comfortably away at Carlisle in the end, so I'm expecting the same at home. We've dealt with the struggling teams very well recently.

Crewe 3-1 Carlisle (Powell, Anene, Kirk, Hope) 4,750 (500 cumbrians)

We play the bottom three then 17th placed Orient which means we will probably get 5 points or something from that lot knowing us! I’d hope we can keep the levels of the last few weeks up and get a decent points return to set us up for any squad improvements by the end of January for a real go at the top 7.

As much as I am looking forward to it once the Man City game is out the way we can start to concentrate on what is more important.

Mike Minay of Radio Manchester has just posted on Facebook that the Macc players have been paid on time this month .

I imagine Sky Towers will be knocking themselves off over IHGT v Salford Reds.

As for us, it will be a test as we have lost Sparkes for the season and have no real options at left back/ wing back, so maybe a point will be a good result.

If we play with the lack of effort we did against Crewe then we will get smashed. If we put in the effort and get a few injured players back then we stand a chance.

We should have a few more through the gates because of the 'Ian Holloway' effect and the fact it's the Salford Stars who we are playing; they'll bring loads of supporters hopefully.

Vale away. No matter what the situation, for some reason I will always fancy us for 3 points.

As long as George Donnelly isn't on penalties.

We always let mac win I swear down we fix it and lose on purpose. Based on the amount of draws both teams have this season then I'd say it will be a draw.
