Walsall away, both teams Jekyll and Hyde. All these fixtures in such a short space of time usually conjur up lots of inconsistent results, due to squad rotation and player fatigue. By now the quality games usually now in a bit of a decline I find...........

Anything could happen with us, we've been a bit harder to beat the last month and young Ruel Sotiriou has scored 2 in 2 which is a positive.

Carlisle at home, no excuses for not winning. Yes, they had a good result last time out, but that was over 10 man Walsall. I expect we'll go with the same team has we had against Scunny. Should be enough to get the job done.

Hopeful for another multi goal win, but I'll take whatever win we can get.
They did start the game with 11 players. The match wasn’t 10 man Walsall vs Carlisle United.

Anyway Crewe away. This is a game we should win comfortably, but we won’t. We’ll lose by 3 or 4.

Macc at home. A perfect chance to build on our last few performances and results which means we will probably go and lose.

If you are a Macclesfield player, now is an apposite time to put in some good performances - you might get a transfer to someone who pays you on time.

You’ve said that twice now!

Mansfield at home for us. On paper we should be looking for a win but frankly we’re capable of anything at the moment. We could stuff them but they could be out of sight by half time or it could be a turgid 0-0. We’re so unpredictable it’s ridiculous.

I’ve done every fixture in L2, every team to score.

£5 pays over £6k. Happy New Year!

Sounds like Solomon is already about to pounce for some of them.

Don’t think we’ve won all year.

I fact seems like a decade ago last time we lost

If Mansfield don’t win today I think it’s approaching 10 games, being serious for a sec!

We wouldn’t be out of sight of Chesterfield by half-time, all our attacking creatively has been completely ruined by Dempster and it’s gunna take a while to get that back

I just hope all the great folks on both sides at the game see a shot on target today, unlike against Bradford.

I’m so convinced we won’t score I’ve decided to go haha.

You ought to have watched us play against Bradford, fuck me - wouldn’t know what a goal was if it came and smacked them on the face.

There is slow progress and they are showing signs of improvements, but still a long way to go

Their keeper did make a save late on, sky reckoned we attempted 14 shots at goal against Bradford, not sure if they meant 1.4 shots and got confused.

Only one change today with his holiness rested for the big one Saturday and Bennett starts.

Van Veen being out and another team with players out of position due to injury means we don't stand a chance today unfortunately

Danny Mayor dropped. Probably what he needed to be honest.

Would have thought maybe we’d have made a few more changes with Saturday in mind. Think it’s a good change though bringing Bennett back in.

Today is far more important in my opinion... get smashed regardless of how tired we are Saturday... I imagine we will sacrifice the cup tie at Salford with 11 changes which is slightly annoying as that’s something we can do well in... but again need to be fresh for Stevenage.

Bench: Gray, Mellish, Birch, Bridge, Charters, Lightfoot, Olomola

A few injuries / players missing from the squad for us, and three kids on the bench. Out are Branthwaite, Scougall, Elliot, Carroll, Knight-Percival. Positives for us are that Webster's been looking like a new player the last couple of games, Hayden and Gethin Jones have improved us defensively too, Mike Jones and Sagaf probably combine to make the best midfield pairing we have and if Thomas and McKirdy both turn up as they did at Walsall there's always a good chance we can win any game if we don't concede more than one.

Gresty Road pitch looks like a bit of a potato field

This should be fun

Football irritates me; Saturday we will face players on our clubs whole wage budget for the year earnt in less than a month... today we face a club who’ve not paid players regularly on time and who’ve actually driven themselves to Vale Park! The Rags to Riches eh.

Looked alright at the very start, then Exeter press, we switch off and bang! Behind. Then did the same not long after and were nearly two down. Given our lack of goals might eb a long afternoon.

1-0 Vale, not totally sure Worrall meant that but will take it.

Got to hand it to Macclesfield, they look pretty decent so far. Been some good stuff from both teams in fairness.
