Wild is clearly a good manager but he’s got to learn to stop parking the bus and making negative subs on narrow leads. Twice in a week it has come back to bite us. Not a bad point by any means but ridiculously frustrating.
Oh fuck off.

This is our Achilles heel though- seeing the game out. Chesterfield would have won both of our last 2 games if they'd got to the 85th minute ahead. :ffs:

Rarely do you see a goal lead such a charmed life without the goalkeeper making many saves. 1 off the bar, at least 2 off the line, some awful shooting, the first half Fox flop when well placed to nod it in. Halifax defended stoutly (Maher and Benn look like proper players) but a point was the very least we deserved out of that. Pleasantly surprised after the run we've been on, hopefully give the boys some much needed confidence

Why are defenders allowed to rugby tackle forwards in the box?

I did think that from our very first set piece their centre half's were manhandling and pulling the shirts of Pearson and Waterfall and the ref let them get away with it for the rest of game (just calling both players over each time for a "word"). To be fair most of it was typical of most games but the one time it was a blatant penalty they go and score 20 seconds later.

Ref should have got a grip of it from the first set piece not let it get that far.

Pearson was at it all game with our centre halves he'd clearly been told to provoke them, he had Bradbury in a fucking head lock at one point, the ref did nothing. Waters is brought down on the edge of the box with only the keeper in front of him- that's a RED card, not a yellow! :dk: We can all play the blame game, fucker.

I fail to see why anyone thinks we should be disappointed going unbeaten at Chesterfield and Grimsby. We didnt play well and we got something out of the games. Is that not the sign of a good team.

Well, for a start that was a dive. Secondly, there was another defender right next to him.

Generally the other way round though, no? As in scoring the late equalisers, not conceding them.

Letting leads slip from winning positions and only scoring due to mistakes is absolutely not the sign of a good team.

I'm not saying you're not a decent side... but you should be disappointed with the result against a grimsby side with absolutely no confidence.

Everyone concedes late equalises and winners. It's an annoying part of football

Confused as to why you're having a pop at him when you agree with his point?

??? I haven't agreed with his point. His point is "parking the bus" and "negative substitutions". My point is about struggling to see the game out. Sorry you were unable to grasp that. :dk:

Wrestling with the opposition and then flinging himself on the floor during corners is just what Pearson does. He does it in every game., spends a good section of the game screaming in disbelief in the refs face. It's great.

100% but whatever else went on, that incident in particular was a clear pen.

I’m not sure why the BT lot were umming and aahhing about it to be honest.

Let’s be honest Halifax aren’t winning the league with Jordan Slew in their starting XI.

The optimist in me is hoping that that late goal will be a bit of a season turner for us in terms of the players mindsets now, you could see by how it was celebrated how much it meant breaking that awful losing run so hopefully happier players will make for better performances, fingers crossed.

I mean we’re absolutely never going winning the league regardless, but Slew’s s bizarre one to pick out

You're right, most strikers would kill for this record. Baller

That's grim, he's dog shit!

Funnily enough though, i was at one of his games for Eng U19 because it was at the Technique.

Just looked it up, Ter Stegan and Leno had a half each in goal for Germany!
