Why are MK Dons fans being a bunch of bitches about their chances?

They've got a decent core of players, they will work the loan market as usual and thanks to player sales they will be able to compete financially in terms of wages. Wouldn't be surprised to see them average about 13,000 this season as they will get big followings there most weeks.

Purely because they have been listening to the classic Robbo soundbites since May.

Nearly 7,000 season tickets sold, so it may be a little more than 13,000 average.

Are any threads actually "needed"?
Sheep isn't needed, but very popular, same with many other forum games.

As for the many other threads 'about' us, I haven't been on this part of the forum much but I only see the one about our stadium rebuild (which isn't exactly needed) and the "club's in this league in size order" which only became about us when some fans didnt like that we thought we won't be shit, or are we supposed to say we will finish bottom and get 0 points. That thread wasn't really needed either tbh.

For a forum to succeed - yes, threads are needed.

When there are already several active threads discussing Bristol City and three individual threads for each of the promoted sides, a general thread to discuss these promoted sides isn't needed.

If you are referring to the Alli money with regard to player sales, then that has been earmarked solely for the new training ground.

I agree with the rest though. We will use the loan market well like we usually do and as you say we will probably average 13,000-14,000, maybe even more depending on how the season goes.

Having said all that, if you look at our current squad, you can see why some are pessimistic at this moment in time:

GK - David Martin
GK - Charlie Burns
RB - Lee Hodson
RB - Jordan Spence
RB - George Baldock
RB - Ben Tilney
CB - Joe Walsh
CB - Tom Flanagan
CB - Kyle McFadzean
CB - Antony Kay
CB - Harry Hickford
LB - Dean Lewington
CM - Darren Potter
CM - Mark Randall
CM - Samir Carruthers
AM - Giorgio Rasulo
AM - Ben Reeves
W - Dean Bowditch
W - Carl Baker
W - Daniel Powell
W - Danny Green
ST - Tom Hitchcock
ST - Kabongo Tshimanga

In summary, it is way too early for this shit but I am pretty sure Bristol City will finish above us as they should and despite last seasons finishing positions, I reckon you lot will too.

You clearly haven't.

Newly Promoted sides
Welcome Bristol
The new gate
The club size in order thread turned into Bristol City chat
The quality of this league turned into a Bristol City/Rotherham bitch fest.

These are off the top of my head.

So 2 that were about us then, the others are threads that will naturally focus on individual teams at some point and have currently became about us when other posters didn't like us having the opinion that we aren't going to be utter shite

Not trying to be argumentative with this, but only one of the above threads was started by a Bristol City fan, a reason people may think it turns into a Bristol City focused thread is because we have a lot of users on this forum who would like to give their opinion.

I haven't said anything about Bristol City fans.

I understand that but, was just my point, you mention a number of threads that appear to directly involve us (the ones you mentioned) but its generally been fans of other clubs starting these. End of the day its the close season and the new season can't arrive soon enough for the sake of proper discussion.

It really can't be that hard to understand what I'm saying, surely.

I have no issue with there being a load of Bristol City fans on here, I have no issue with Bristol City fans discussing Bristol City as that's perfectly normal. My point is this forum is already littered with Bristol City chat (whether the thread was created with the intention of talking about City or not), I don't think a further thread to encourage more was warranted.

Depends how long this thread runs for imo, as it will run pretty much all summer whenever a new promoted team makes a signing etc and can be used to compare their fortunes through the season. So really this thread is likely to prevent a lot more being created in future. So imo this one has some purpose to it as opposed to 'clubs in size of order' which are generally pointless. It is the summer though and really its just good to see activity levels kept up, would rather this then it being a ghost town.

How many did you shift in League One?

What was your average attendance in league 1? Expecting much of a rise in the championship?

Around 6000 I believe Dons fans?

Yeah it was about 6,000. If you compare what we had sold at this point last summer with what we have this summer, we are heading for close to 8,000 season ticket holders although the rate of sales might slow down now and I doubt we will actually reach that high a figure.

What was your average attendance in league 1? Expecting much of a rise in the championship?

9,500ish but 1,000ish of that was away fans.

I said at this stage, meaning right now where we still need massive improvements, also the question was who will finish higher

Personally I think we will be fine, but we will finish the lowest out of the 3 promoted sides

How's the 'pole' going out of interest? I didn't want to vote as I would be a City fan voting for City which seems a bit crass.

As for the multiple City threads, our 'New Gate' thread has been going for years on here, the L1 forum and the old TFF's. It's just a way for us to share the various publications / pictures of our rebuild, especially for some of our overseas fans who may not be able to access certain sites. It also became a decent way for us to let visiting supporters know of any issues when attending the Gate as it's been a bit of a nightmare over the last 12 months and may well be the same this season due to the ongoing building work. It's certainly about the ground and not a 'look how good we are' thread.
