No idea what's going on with us. We've returned today with the cheapest looking training kits known to man, they look like they were bought from home bargains and aren't branded. There's been rumours of Cabrini not being made anymore so I have no clue when our kit is coming out.
We're on Cabrini too and we came back wearing last seasons training kit.

Shirts going to be unveiled next week though so I'd expect Cabrini to be still around. I heard they're having problems manufacturing the shirts.

Is that "starter"?!

Is this starters first football kit?

Just looked it up and starter is owned by the same company as umbro...so why not brand it was umbro? An actual football brand

I like our new shirts, but I'd rarely get the chance to wear one seeing as I steward at home matches and don't do many away matches. I bought the new polo shirt yesterday, me likes.

EDIT - bugger, the image isn't on the shop website. It's nice, trust me.

Glass houses?

My understanding is Starter are an established US sports kit brand and looking to enter the UK football shirt market...

Whereas yours are made by Sainsburys.

I bought some socks in Walmart in Florida that were Starter so I think you are correct.

Admiral are one of the pioneering football kit makers back in the day Robie, to say their kits are made by Sainsburys makes you look a bit silly fella. Pretty sure Coventry used them a fair amount in the 70s, they may have even made that beautiful brown number!

Maybe the irony was lost.

I would argue that anyone who thinks one sweaty cheaply made football shirt brand is better than another sweaty cheaply made football shirt brand is a little bit silly.

Away is nice but the home changes in my head between despising it and adoring it every time I look at it.

It looks like we got out of our partnership with Carbrini at just the right time. They should never have had the privilege of manufacturing our kits in the first place.

FFS Jonny! Thought we would have gone stealth mode on here looking at the state of that home kit. :ffs::bg:

Starter were a huge brand back in the 90's I remember, they did pretty much all the American sports

I was just surprised to see them back and to be making a football lit

Also just wondering why use this lesser known brand when you own a brand like umbro, you might be right re one being no different from another but the reality is plenty of people believe there to be a difference and are more likely to buy from a brand they believe is better quality

We sold 500 shirts in the first day and I personally don't believe it makes a difference what brand is on the shirt. We have had Nike before and they were popular but then we had to chose between a set template and it soon got boring knowing what kit was coming next.

I would expect Starter were the people to make the decision between Umbro and Starter as they want to enter the market with this brand. Your question is like asking why VW don't brand all their cars Audi.

I would have said vw has more of a history on car making than starter on football shirt but overall wasn't tying to start a thing, just hadn't seen them do football kits before and was surprised , not indenting to offend anyone's delicate sensibilities

Our real shirts (as opposed to the ones drawn using Microsoft Paint that kicked off this whole sordid thread) will be released later today.

I suspect I might quite like our home kit, although not sufficiently to actually purchase one until it is reduced to a tenner sometime around April.

I love these ridiculous 'statements' above the kit launch but 'Pride, Passion, Coventry' has got to top the ludicrous scale!

Which one of the chuckle brothers works in your marketing department?

Kit's not bad but "Pride, Passion, Coventry" genuinely made me LOL.
