We have a new member in the COT.

I don't have any solid leads on who I think is a Wolf, but I'm going to make the move of voting Stringy for execution.

The COT hoped him to be a trusted ally, and he was asked to be part of the Steady ruse. However the COT has noticed some unsettling things about his play.

To quote Tom in the COT PM:

"He has just said in the thread that it looks suspicious that Cards waited for the Mayor and played it safe, yet he was the one who previously said he would always wait for the Mayor."

I also found it strange that you abandoned this policy yesterday Stringy, and rather than voting Jon with me you were the first to vote Krazy8, starting a bandwagon on an innocent man.

Also, during the Steady 'ruse', Steady swore at Stringy which seemed a bit forced a long with that whole extended back and forth argument they had.

Now Stringy has claimed to me via PM that SUTSS put him into some kind of partnership with Mr. Elmo at the start of the game. So it would be good to get the latter's thoughts on this in particular.

Go in peace.

Very interesting that you would attack me without using the seer to identify whether or not I was innocent first, especially after I helped you in bringing down Steady. Even if I was a wolf, I have shown my willingness to help the group.

Mine and Mr Elmo's power is this: we have a 25 per cent chance of finding something out about someone if we confront them on an issue. Not sure how that 25 per cent is calculated but thought as mayor that would be something that you would look to utilise in our attempt to win the game. Apparently not.

Would be a shame if you were to kill off one of the most influential members of the group. Let's face it, bringing down Steady was more my work than yours (ooooooo!!!!111!!!). At the beginning of this game I was one of the only people to put myself forward with a genuine plan to beat the wolves. But now you want me dead.

Finally my reason for going against you: since that fucking stupid pigeon came we have to execute anyone.

Well, it will be interesting to hear Mr Elmo's thoughts on this. If you are both innocent, I have to wonder why you haven't come to an agreement and used that power yet though? Bearing in mind that innocents can never guarantee they will make it through the night, and especially being close to the COT, you must have thought you could die at anytime and would surely want to use that power asap?

I asked Elmo if he wanted to use it in the Lee Wilson debacle but he said he wanted to save it til later in the game. We both have to agree before we can use it.

Re. Bolded bit: as you know, we only get one investigation a day, we had already used it for the day on someone else we had suspicions about. Also, our main suspicions arose regarding yourself after we had used it. We have to execute someone every day now (since the fucking pigeon) and it seems more prudent to us that we vote for someone we have strong suspicions over, rather than someone who has given us no cause for concern.

Have you asked him to investigate anyone else since then?

On what exactly? It's been relatively quiet.

As I said in the PM, kill off someone who's inactive tonight and identify me as innocent tomorrow. You will not regret it and you'll have a new member of the COT, and one who has a power at that.

This seems a wise choice. I'm not keen on Killing stringy yet who has been a stable player. Not sure if this a ruse or not.

I will confirm that me and stringy have the power he has already mentioned. It gives a 25% chance of finding something out and we did also consider using it on the leewilson matter, however I decided against it as I didn't feel there was anything concrete at the time and the matter had only just cropped up. I felt that if the matter continued, then we should continue but it did not so we should save it. This is because this power is a 1 time use only, and even then it only has a 25% chance of working. This means it needs to be used on a really important topic. With things being quiet recently, we haven't had much reason to use it.

I don't think we should execute stringy, yet. Whether he is a wolf or not I don't know but while we have this power it could help hugely in discovering something important for the town.

Make of it what you will.

Stringy's argument certainly seems plausible, I'm not going to execute him either.

Ok then I suggest Stringy and Mr Elmo investigate someone now then. JJH would be a good choice imo.

Either JJH, or saltire... The latter is has caused a huge amount of suspicion to me. I'm going to hold out on my vote for the moment and see how the rest of the game day develops.

Honestly I would rather not, using the power right now where nothing is too suspicious is a waste in my opinion. If we had multiple uses then I would agree.

What's best doing is asking the rest of the community and seeing what they think, should we or shouldn't we use our power now to find a member out? JJH for example in LR's post.

Seems a bit odd that despite the wolves knowing you have this power, that they wouldn't have binned you off yet? Suppose they may have tried...not sure how it works and why they didn't strike, however. Just a thought.

I imagine the wolves will strike off one of them during the next night therefore making the power useless.

I'm not entirely sure why they'd use it on JJH though.

I didn't think about the wolves hitting us - Means we must really use the power in the next 24 hours now. I think we should try Saltire.

I'd be inclined to side with Stringy and Elmos for now, plausible arguments on both their parts, and they seem united.

Not sure on who to vote on yet, perhaps CoT want to suggest someone else?

If Elmo is happy to go along with it then we should use the power tonight, since I'm either going to be executed or one of us will most likely be murdered in the next day or two.

I really think I am worth keeping in the game and believe you'll be making a mistake if you go along with executing. I have proven my worth, running for election, albeit unsuccessfully, and helping to unveil Steady as a wolf.

I am more than happy to be investigated by the seer and urge people not to vote prematurely for me. I certainly feel that I am at least more valuable than some of the folk that haven't offered anything.
