I don't think the whale is showing appreciation, just happy to be freed. Great video nevertheless.

Bolo Yeung was boss!

Here's a picture of Bolo Yeung, Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon.

Me and my old man were really into the martial arts when I was growing up. He was a black belt in two styles of Karate and was one of the first to bring the style of Tenshinkan to Scotland with his friend who is still doing it and is an 8th Dan these days! I got my black belt too but then the lures of drink and girls took me to the dark side and I've never been back since! :D

Because of this interest, we always used to watch Bruce Lee's films (many of which were awful tbh). I was more into Jackie Chan and his fantastic stunts and fun type of style (he is a big lover of Buster Keaton). My old man always told me to watch Bruce though and I began to appreciate his extraordinary talent later, and I also began to read a few biographies of him and his philosophies. He really was an amazing man, took from us way too soon after taking one headache tablet.

Alternative Bond themes:

Johnny Cash did a song for Bond's Thunderball! Crazy. It doesn't go with the film at all, but its not a bad tune.

Dione Warwick [Kiss Kiss Bang Bang] did a theme for Thunderball also, but its awful.

It also seems three versions of You Only Live Twice were recorded before they settled on Nancy Sinatra's superb version.

Alice Cooper and Liza Minnelli do The Man With The Golden Gun, which is equal to Lulu's final version - its brilliantly naff! :D

Blondie did For Your Eyes Only too but was favoured for Sheena Easton (whatever happened to her?)

Ace Of Base did Goldeneye!!

And Pulp did Tomorrow Never Dies!

Also a Danish group called Swan Lee recorded Tomorrow Never Dies too, but it is woeful.

Seems to be a lot of Tomorrow Never Dies, also St Etienne did a cover of it too.

A group called Straw did A World Is Not Enough, but its pretty bland.

David Arnold who composed several Bond themes also has Shirley Bassey, the biggest Bond diva of them all, doing a song called No Good About Goodbye which has the word 'solace' in it and it could be a rejected score for Quantum of Solace. He insists its not, but it does sound suspicously like a Bond theme would.
