Chesterfield defo can't rely on a draw. Although the only way we can get in is if they all draw so its abit contradictory. Unless Wrexham really do bottle it In the capital.

I mean for a team in 10th. The set if results we need to happen are not exactly impossible or unreasonable. Especially since we play a team that's involved.
I've talked myself into a let down here. But it's nice to have a chance. Little old Halifax shouldn't be here anyway right?
There is a good chance there will be lots of twists and turns throughout the day. Literally, anything could happen.

I'm going into the game expecting the worst. That way, I won't be disappointed. It would be typical Halifax Town to either win the game but results don't go our way or fail to win but results go our way.
I don't buy this little old Halifax mentality PW has instilled. Yes, our budget isn't great but our strongest starting 11 is well up there amongst the best in the league. Our problem has been inconsistency and injuries.

Why do you keep quoting him when he’s already told you he’s got you on ignore you fucking melt.
Why is this hard for you to understand, chuck? I'm not addressing HIM. It's a simple concept, I'm sure you can wrap your little noggin around it if you try. :ds:

Yeah even if he’s fit he’s the obvious one to rest. Also worth giving Rawlinson a game to get sharp again, as we’re probably going to need him.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see us rest Doyle, Rodrigues, Wootton, Ellis, maybe even Slocombe.

We were pretty good last night and made Maidenhead look pretty second rate. Our record against the mediocre teams in this league since Bassey took over has been good, which gives me optimism that with the right recruitment in place we’ll be fine.

I have to say that I’m still not sure how Maidenhead have managed to survive in this league for so long as every time they’ve played us they’ve always looked very limited. We do have a bit of an Indian sign over them as we’ve won 5 and drawn 1 of the 6 league matches we’ve played them in since our relegation to the National League in 17/18, conceding only 1 goal!

D’you reckon? Still needing a point for a home game, I think he’ll go pretty much full strength.
Week between games now.

Well I definitely think RR will be rested, given he was hobbling on Saturday, maybe Wootton too, our only hold-up man, who plays literally every minute of every game, and Slocombe has had a couple of niggles this season. Might keep Doyle in for a bit of solidity I guess, but I wouldn’t at all be surprised to see 3/4 changes. Is it worth risking injury or suspension to our critical players if it isn’t absolutely necessary? Although as you say, there is 7 day recovery time, and IB may also want to keep the momentum going.

Maidenhead have never played well against Barnet. Able to rip Torquay and Hartlepool to pieces but put in even more performances like last night. This season has been better than the last two but just consistently inconsistent.

I'm off work today and walked the dog past the training ground and Rodriguess was training.

That’s good news. I’d still rest him Saturday though, he’s probably our most important player now and the way he plays just attracts wild tackles.

Whatever happens to Bromley, Andy Woodman won’t be hanging around after the game. Bromley chairman has laid a car on to get him to Wembley for 3pm to watch his son Freddie in the Champ play off final for Swansea!

Hope Woody Snr gets the job done, Cobblers legend

Just noticed that means we can’t finish 7th, so would avoid the Stockport/Hartlepool route. Not sure why, but I feel a lot more comfortable going to Torquay than either of those two.
You can still finish 4th though so you may still have to go oop north instead of visting the glorious sunbaked Riviera

Having watched Weymouth with my own eyes last weekend, I am pretty confident in Hartlepool’s ability to get at least a point against them..

Can I just check I’ve got this right as these play offs are different to when we were last here, so 4th and 5th play at home to 6th and 7th and the winner of each of those games plays away at 2nd and 3rd is that right?

Two unbelievable episodes. So many hilarious stories, makes out he was absolutely dog shit but he was a very good lower league keeper.

Under the Cosh is great, and often the lesser known players have the best stories. Martin Allen came across as a right weirdo.

Yeah to be honest I usually skip some of the ones i'd never heard of, and he was one of them. It wasn't until a mate told me to listen too it I did. They are up there with 2 of the best they've ever done.

I'm half way through the Martin Allen one now, i'd maintain i'd go for a pint with him, but my god he was poor for us. I assume we get a mention at some point but it really didn't work out.

I got the impression Allen was acting all the way through, just seemed a bit forced with the staring etc

He's always acting. Even when he used to speak to fans one on one at friendly games etc he would just make loads of odd claims and misdirect.

I thought that initially, his behaviour was too bizarre....but by the end of part 2 I just think thats what he's like. Just an oddball you wouldn't want to spend any time around.

It probably was an act to start with but now he's done it for so long he can't help it.

The Carl Dickinson episode is an eye-opener, what a guy. The Gary Roberts one makes for a good listen but he lies all the way through it, certainly about his time at Yeovil at least.

I wouldn't imagine he could remember much
