Let’s do this!

Undoubtedly the biggest game of the night - nae, the season - is at the Racecourse Ground for the Best Player in the Division Derby.

Am I in thinking both sides would probably take a point, given both have very winnable home games on Saturday? We won’t be sitting back, though. Connell Rawlinson back in the centre of defence will likely be our only change from Saturday.

Predicting a very close encounter.

I think it’ll be a draw because that tends to happen in big games where both teams are really quite content with a draw.

As said above, though, we don’t really play defensively under Burchnall in any situation now, so would expect us to go for it. Rawlinson being back would be important - as much as watching Brindley and Chicksen as overlapping centre backs on Saturday was a lot of fun, the lack of height left us really exposed to crosses and set pieces.

We should just agree the draw now and have done with the whole affair. No-one wants to play saturday/Tuesday at this stage of the season.

Not much else of note, although if Aldershot could do us all a favour and beat Eastleigh that would be great.

Aldershot could do us a favour. Any chance of them nicking anything off Eastleigh? I still consider Eastleigh as dark horses for the play offs.

Fans be back there presumably? Aldershot beat us twice, so I’ve decided they’re not terrible.

Who is going to get the better of the Rodrigues vs Davies Ballon d’Or head to head?

Depends on who is playing around Davies really. If Rutherford is starting in the midfield we might only see glimpses of Davies on the ball as you'll no doubt have done your homework on Davies and will know your best chance of nullifying our play through the midfield is to mark Davies out of it. We could really do with Jay Harris back, or in failing that I hope Jarvis starts.

Davies has the capability of making something out of nothing though, so even if you try to mark him out of it he will still probably take the ball around a couple of your lot and whip in a dangerous cross or have an attempt on goal. From what I saw of Rodrigues against Sutton, it's exactly the same with him.

You just know if they do sneak in we will play them and it will be a repeat on the other year when they knocked us out at our place.

Ruben is one of those players who needs to be involved all the time or he drifts out of the game I think. No surprise he’s way more effective in our attacking style under Burchnall than in Ardley’s much more defensive one. Him and Miller have come back in from nowhere to completely turn us around - six goals and two assists in five games for Ruben, four assists in four games for Miller.

We might put Doyle on marking Davies duty, but to be honest our approach at the minute isn’t really worrying about the opposition, so we might not.

Am I right in thinking you play wing backs as well? I wonder whether we’ll go Enzio on the right if so..

Yeah 3 at the back with Two wing backs. Neither of them are particularly good at defending but they are quick and get forward. Reece Hall Johnson got his 7th and 8th goal of the season at the weekend, which is better than most of our strikers.

IF Notts play Enzio ar RWB - put Dior Angus on the same side - watch the highlights of Notts 0 Barrow 3 game from last season and you'll understand why.....

Which is why we’ll probably play walking yellow card and generally angry man Dion Kelly-Evans there instead. Calvin Miller is a winger playing at wing back on the other side, so Enzio as well would be extremely attacking.

But I would consider it against other teams playing with wing backs, because it essentially becomes a one vs one battle and in that scenario Enzio can be very dangerous.

W̶e̶’̶l̶l̶ ̶d̶o̶ ̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶b̶e̶s̶t̶..Most of our players are already on the beach, presumably having earned a new contract. Fans in might make a difference. Don’t hold your breath...

Im not so sure.
Looking at the fixtures, we do both have favourable fixtures on Saturday, both at home.
But we then travel to Bromley, Wrexham at Daggers.

Chessie have Halifax last game.
I just did the fishy predictor and have Bromley needing a win on the final day against Notts which would take them above us. This is the table with a draw between Bromley and Notts. But also Daggers and Wrexham

Are fans allowed back in in Wales?
No. Drakeford's opted to use the Newport and Swansea games as pilot events but not the Wrexham games taking place on the same days because Wales doesn't exist to the Senedd north of the Brecon Beacons.

Apparently there'll be fans in the ground if we finish 5th, so this game tonight is absolutely ginormous for yet another reason. If either team win they'll very likely finish 5th.

May the best team win in the Wrexham/County game. Personally I don't mind what result occurs, I suspect a draw may work out best for us if we intend getting in the playoffs but given we are unlikely to win them anyway, I'm ambivalent. It's hopefully been a turning point season for us, whatever happens, and the club feels like it is on the road back.

Just wish a few of our supporters would take a deep breath and think on about the hole the club has been in for the last five years.

I expected Chesterfield to be nowhere near the play offs this season, the new boss has done very well.

Rowe on a 3 year deal still sounds bonkers to me, mind. I get the impression that one could come back to bite you on the arse.

I still think a draw is ok tonight - assuming we win on Saturday and also maybe improve our already superior GD over our playoff rivals. But I’d dearly love a win - anything to avoid it going down to Bromley away on the last day.

A draw tonight is a really good result for us. I think four points from the three games is very likely to be enough to make top seven.

Could do with Eastleigh dropping points tonight, their game in hand is an annoying complication.

Can see what the Wrexham fans mean about Keates. Truly inspirational words:

"Tuesday night might not go to plan," said Keates.

"But we have given ourselves a chance, and we have still got two games after that.”

Got a funny feeling we’ll win tonight and put an end to Eastleigh’s play off hopes. Hopefully having a crowd in will help us, as it did when we beat Dagenham back in December.

Unchanged for us, so Rawlinson is still injured. It’s also very adventurous, two full backs as part of a back three... we can’t really do much sitting back.

Aye, not much point risking Rawlinson and putting him out of any potential post-season really. I’m less concerned than I was v Bromley as I’m not sure Wrexham pose the same aerial threat as Cheek and Williamson (correct me if I’m wrong), but as Jacob says it’s only one recognised CB in a back 5. Only one change for Wrexham too I see.
