Did you all make this much fuss at Wrexham when you had the same amount of tickets? Other than a sex toy making its way on to the pitch I didn't hear about much. We get it, you're bringing a few fans, don't do a Crewe though.

You don't get it though. We're not trying to boast, we're just frustrated - Chester/the Police could have given us a bigger allocation and avoided all this. We don't have anything to boast about these days!

With all due respect, the demand is much higher for this game than it was for Wrexham, I'd guess because a lot of our fans have never been to Chester for a competive game. The tickets only lasted a few hours once they were made available to Season Ticket holders, whereas the Wrexham tickets made it to general sale.

Oh, and we DID whinge about the Wrexham allocation!

The worst thing is about the ticket arrangments for our game v jester is the lost revenue for both clubs. I really can't see the problem. If indeed it was possible to give us more tickets someone needs to give their head a very long wobble. Presuming it's down to the police this makes it even more hard to comprehend. The main reason to give an away club a smaller allocation than is possible is to prevent trouble inside the stadium. Are we or jester known for trouble inside stadiums, no. There will be Rovers fans in the home end but this will be minimal in the early 90s we had so many in their end the police put up temporary segregation but times are different now anyone with half a brain knows if you cause trouble inside a stadium you wont be going to another game for five years. So are the police worried about the potential trouble outside the stadium well when we played jester at Prenton park they had around 1500 who came and seemingly enjoyed the day and went home. Ok there was a 'mob' of around 100 who had a bit of a march through town but apart from a few handbags being thrown a good police escort was enough to get them to the ground and in the away end with minimal fuss. I even hear the police allowed a degree of 'laddish' behaviour. Apparently their was some bother at the station after the game but again I can't see it being large scale dissorder. So in a nutshell its overkill in my opinion it's an absolute travesty that a non league fixture is treated like a west ham v millwall game and in my opinion a £? Should be placed on every empty seat at the deva at this fixture to represent the money both clubs have lost out on and the supporters that can't get into see a non league game.

Extra police constables are being drafted in from around Cheshire too, must be expecting WW3 or something. Ludicrous.

Pretty well after having an onside goal given offside after 5 minutes then an unfortunate red card. FA chose to have 5,000 empty seats rather than increase the Tranmere allocation.

again bloody ridiculous. We played Wrexham in the trophy back in December. Again most fans come and went and the 100+ 'mob' that stick together for the march to and from the station had more police around them than I've seen for a game in Birkenhead. No riot gear just a well regimented escort. Again nothing more than a few handbags and a bit of verbal. Some reports in the local news of mass brawls near the station were way off the mark and the reporter's or police press office need to stop whipping things up if you ask me.

Tragic, really. I think it suits. It kind of stuck when I read through your forum before our home game with you. the level of bitterness was quite amusing.

Not convinced there's too much bitterness from our fans towards Tranmere to be honest, if anything I was slightly surprised at the opposite at the game at Prenton Park earlier in the season. It was good to renew rivalries after a while apart mind you.

I'm just going on what I read on your forum threre was definitely a degree of bitterness, understandable from the older supporters as we achieved a hell of a lot since we last crossed paths. I agree about the game at prenton park it was good to renew rivalries and to get a decent crowd in with a healthy away support which doesnt seem to happen a lot in this league. I hope if we can some how get out of this league you can follow us

Halifax also has to be the nicest ground that I've visited in non league, not at all what I was expecting and also very friendly police which again I was not ecpecting.
Actually had a cracking day today, despite the shambolic defending that I watched in that first 30 mins.
