Probably just felt that way because of the circumstances and way it went, but I’d definitely have guessed there was more away fans than home fans there.

The set up is very odd, I’m assuming it’s all stuff that your fans aren’t happy about, but giving away fans one stand behind a goal, closing the terrace behind the other one and squeezing the vast majority of home fans into a half of a stand along the side is bizarre. Almost like deliberately turning it into an away game.
Away fans have always had that stand behind the goal since its construction 5 years ago. There are a lot of Barnet fans unhappy about the terrace being closed for the whole season, not least because it meant a massive price rise for people who used the terrace. It also seems like a lot of things that make up the match day experience went badly wrong yesterday too.

I think there was a wedding or something going on under the away end, was shaking with dubstep all the way through the second half. The bar was a bit of a shambles as well, none of the pumps worked so it was just cans of Fosters. The lights didn’t work either so it was a bit like an underground rave in there.

The club loves to hold a wedding or two on matchday. At least the dubstep would have matched your mood throughout the second half.
I heard those reports too, I am disgusted by the maladroit way the club has prepared for the first machday under normal conditions. Value your customers!

That's impressive!
Indeed - some Championship context - ok so it was midweek but Preston at Huddersfield is particularly shit

Barnsley v Luton 748
Blackpool v Coventry 1746
Huddersfield v Preston 1205
Peterborough v Cardiff 680
Swansea v Stoke 437
Birmingham v Bournemouth 809
Middlesbrough v QPR 440
Nottm F v Blackburn 886

The ex-League clubs down here are all relatively good travellers (except Notts to Grimsby for some reason?) and will be putting most of League 2 and some of League 1 to shame.

I’ve got no idea why we never travel well to Grimsby, it’s a really weird one. We always take more to the London games and anywhere in Yorkshire than we do there.

Perhaps it's because I think you usually lose - one of my early games was in your promotion season in 70-71 you lost 2-1. Also 80-81 - we scored two goals in the last 5 mins to win 2-1. then of course there was the 2-1 win about 3 years ago that kept us up and you down...

One Chelmsford forum member said 200 Maidstone fans in a crowd of 700. But I’ve also seen a surprisingly precise figure of 1000. Is it my imagination that swift and accurate attendance figures are harder to find this season? Even Football Web Pages don’t have many attendance figures for NLS.

One of my fave things at roots hall was about 10 mins into the second half they would announce the away attendance. And the east stand would always give em a round of applause. Could be 800, could be 300. But the away crowds of 92 or something always got the biggest response. We all know the score

Haven't seen figures for Dagenham at Stockport or Boreham Wood at Weymouth.

I suspect we'll never know the latter.

Maybe it hasn't been reported because it doesn't exist?

Probably gonna give Boreham Wood a figure of 50, it was probably unsegregated. I feel that's very generous though.

Dagenham surely had their own section at Stockport but I can't find any info on their figure anywhere.

I would guess about 150-175 Daggers, was a decent turn out despite the awful train prices direct at £100 return minimum once they finally came out.

400 sold and the rest going on general sale tomorrow for our match at Stockport a week tomorrow, highly doubt we'll sell out given the anti-climax that has been the "start" of our season:

Sod it, Boreham Wood can have 30 and Dagenham can have the lower part of John Still's estimate.

Gives us the following after game 1:

Southend1600
Wrexham1300
Notts County1009
Chesterfield626
Woking400
Altrincham157
Dagenham150
Maidenhead47
Boreham Wood30

200 tickets left to go on general sale tomorrow for Wealdstone on Monday. Imagine they're gone by noon

107 Boston at fylde, we put out this morning
Pretty shite considering first away game for 18 months and against a possible promotion rival.
Had hoped for double that

Yeah wasn't expecting that either. 800 for a near 250 mile round trip on a Tuesday night after being messed around by Stockport/BT is good going. Will be interesting to see how many more we sell. We'll probably tip over/get close to a 1000 now, I'd imagine.

Without searching, anyone care to have a guess at how much an Anytime Return from London to Stockport departing on the afternoon of the 31st August is? Obviously, it can be done cheaper if you pick a specific train or get an Off Peak Return, but this price is ridiculous...

I had chance of a Test Match ticket for OT - £66 return from Nottingham so I'm not doing that. £200 for that one?
