Looked at least 700 Wrexham at Maidenhead. Just got back.

83 Eastleigh at Chesterfield in another 5000+ gate.
Good effort from both I thought.

Yeah I don't get why you've only been given 1200. There's no home fans in the away stand for this game, so I'm assuming you'll get more should you need them. I'd expect you will if you get a result against Bromley? I'd like to think you'll have the option to get the full away allocation if needed as you always give us as many tickets as we need.

We’ve sold about 1,000 apparently, so expect by Saturday it’ll be pretty close to the 1,200. Should be a proper atmosphere at this one.

Good stuff that. Will be 7,000+ then, probably more like 7,500 I'd imagine. Gutted I'm not going.

Based on previous attendances and none in the Osmond I would say around 6k home fans maybe slightly less
6,150 home fans in the declared attendance v Wrexham, but with more people in the Osmond last week, home and Yeovil, than Wrexham brought and a declared attendance 200 lower, I give up, I'll go back to studying Geoff Boycott's batting averages from 1970 onwards...

If roughly 7500 have been sold the the official attendance will be somewhere around 6800/6900 then, fuck knows why 5 or 6 hundred people with tickets keep not turning up, I know you always get some season ticket holders that can’t make every game but that many not turning up every week seems pretty staggering.

That surely means you’re giving loads away to schools or something? No way would that many people with paid tickets not be turning up.

Has been mentioned that we give quite a few away and some people are calling for a reduction in that.

I don't think it will be just that, I'd be surprised if giveaways to schools are more than a hundred or so per game and some of those would be used - if they are used then they should be part of the declared attendance. I think it is a combination of unused tickets, be it giveaways or other no shows including ST holders, and the scanners now used. It looks to be happening at a number of grounds - tickets failing to scan, queues for the scanners resulting in a physical check of the QR code and people being let in without the scanner registering the entry - like what happens at a railway station when your ticket doesn't work at the barrier.

Oh yeah, it will be a combo of different types of unused tickets for sure. The QR/scanner thing doesn't come into it at BP though, Kristine Green has explicitly confirmed that our attendances are done through the turnstile clicks and only the turnstile clicks. Maybe it's possible some people are getting in without going through the turnstiles?

Apparently at the Mariners Trust AGM last night Debbie Cook said it was a combination of things. They reckon around 10% of season ticket holders on average miss each game and also they give away complimentary tickets which aren't being used.

They are looking into how season ticket holders can be refunded and sell on their seat in the future if they know they won't be attending like Lincoln do.

If Lincoln do it, surely that idea will have come from JS Fenty...?

Yeah I know this happened at Woking as my lad and his mates tickets wouldn’t scan so they just let them in anyway which is probably why we sold over 1100 tickets yet the official away number was under 900.

We've sold 500 for Dagenham tomorrow, so reckon it'll be 600+ maybe which isn't bad at all.

Can't wait for us to have a local game - closest we've had is Wrexham and that was a Tuesday night!

Next 2 after this are Solihull and Grimsby which are much easier to get too

6-700 for a 370 mile round trip from town is excellent especially considering the long trips we’ve had. Just the 40 mile round trip for myself.
