how come there's no bar in the swanscombe end? they always put one in there for us, just on the left as you go in, they put up a tarp where the pitch is so you can't see the match. wonder why they're not getting a bar, maybe a problem with their fans?

You didn't have one this season did you?

Where they normally put that up, there are certain places you can see the pitch from, which I'm lead to believe is why we stopped it. Don't think we've done it for any of the segregated games so far this season.

Shame, but rules are rules I guess!

They charge visiting clubs to commentate, record highlights, and have more than a couple of staff in attendance, even though their opponents offer them all the usual courtesies... menial little things which make them pennies but lose them friends. It's in a soulless London commuter town with no fans, no passion, and no character.

And I'll never forgive them for making our club lower themselves to doing THIS...

Christ,is it that bad.I'm making the trip in a couple of weeks.

indeed you did. they put a tarpaulin up around the wall toward the pitch, were the bar is, and a couple of stewards to stop people going past the end of it, so no view of the pitch. contrary to popular belief, i actually think we get well looked after when we come to your place.

Ah, fair enough. I didn't think we had done it this season yet.

I think it's more a case of people constantly looking for something to beat us with. We're not that bad, although our stewards are useless. Just hope we do the required works to the away end so we can get it back to 'officially' holding 1,000+!

Not strictly non league but apparently Doncaster have only sold around 300 tickets so far for their visit here on Saturday.

Few of their fans are already moaning that it's segregated (Kent and South Yorkshire police agreed on it), and that there's no bar in the away end (not allowed to drink in view of the pitch). It's all our fault apparently.

So they’re not going because they can’t have a pint at half time? One of the worst excuses I’ve heard.

It's hardly a glamourous tie, in their defence, but slagging us off for things that are out of our control is a bit daft. The ground has certainly changed a bit since they last came here!

818 Orient at Gillingham for our cup final. Those useless twats really don’t deserve us.

A decent number, although there were quite a few of the 'twattish' persuasion in the away end today - what the hell was that all about?!

So after the massive Doncaster Rovers fans moaning enough for a life time, they brought a huge 325 here. Joke.

I remember going to a game that feels like ages ago between you two in the Conference, finished something like 2-2 and I doubt they brought much more than 100 down. Just remember Paul Barnes being a cock and goading the home fans.

Some teams just travel better than others. Donny usually take 800-900 to us, so they're probably well-backed at Northern games but don't take many down south. Similar to Pools, very good numbers up north but don't take many to Southern games. I don't think it depends on size of club either, Torquay always seem to travel in good numbers in relation to their home crowds. Carlisle, Grimsby have good numbers everywhere. Not sure what decides it. Grimsby and Carlisle are hardly posh, whereas Torquay & surrounding areas are posher. Could be a good but rather nerdy PhD thesis.

With Rovers of the Tranmere variety, there are a core of about 200 southern-based exiles who regularly attend games in the south and that is bolstered by a variable number of travelling support. Outside the local NW, we take varying numbers depending on things like if the ground is new to us and the game’s importance.

325 doesn’t sound that bad for Doncaster’s trip to Ebbsfleet. Perhaps some were put off by the lack of facilities :bg1:

I knew they wouldn't sell 800, but I did think they'd have a few more in fairness. Ho hum! Seemed like they enjoyed their day anyway.

Oh Concord. That's one place I don't miss going to!
