Harrogate didn't segregate close to 2000 York fans last season which was bizarre

Why is that bizarre? I’m guessing the away end at Harrogate holds less than 2000, Harrogate seem a friendly bunch, and it maximises their match day revenue

Aye but not every away team that visits Harrogate will have the friendly bunch mentality to match, I can only speak for ourselves but we have a certain dickhead element who after day drinking in York/Harrogate probably wouldn’t be up for swapping ends and handshakes at full time.

They must have a point where they think it’s in the interest of safety to segregate home and away.

Harrogate have announced this evening that our game at their place in 2 weeks will be unsegregated........

Um, if I'm being naive then please let me know - But they are aware that we will probably take up to 800 fans if both sides keep winning? We was going to take at least 400 anyway with it being a new ground.

Have Harrogate segregated games in the past with York or Halifax?!

I would imagine they've underestimated the O's following they'll have a change of heart somewhere near the time once they get the numbers that are travelling? Harrogate do segregate on large followings - We took 1,200 in October/2016 - They house the away supporters in the Sterling Motors stand.

There were a couple of Albion Rovers fans as well in our end. But 90+ actual Sutton fans 400+ miles from home is fantastic, and it was good that we as fans were on loud form today

It was, but we've been away three Saturdays in a row to Gateshead, Chesterfield and Halifax - With Harrogate up next, think most are going to Harrogate as its a new ground.

We have only played there once,last season and took over 2000 closest ever away game.dont think it could ever be segregated because lot of fans either live in Harrogate or surrounding villages,One of York biggest away fans buses is even from Harrogate.
