Gonna go to final at Ashton if they get into it next week.

Mind if they go up will make it a nightmare on Boxing Day whether to go to Curzon vs Ashton or Stalybridge vs Hyde

Are the dates for the PO announced yet? May bumble along to Farsley for their game.

Its one leg games at this level.

Farsley are away at Ashton on Tuesday and then if they win they will be away to the winners of the other tie.

I may go to Ashton Tuesday. I can't see them losing to Farsley, who were possibly the worst side I saw all season (they were 2nd in the table at the time!)

Final is Ashton United Vs Grantham Town...........Warrington weirdly just collapsed in play-offs.

90 minutes off people in conf north having two trips to Ashton..............just the sort've lovely place you wish to head!

Fomer Alfreton lads Danny Meadows and Gallinksi on the scoresheet for Grantham.

Torn. Want a local game next season but Grantham`s is an athletics track and the view is awful. Wont be against a second trip to Ashton either.

Likewise, easy to get to Grantham from the north-east but a terrible athletics track surrounding the pitch that requires a pair of binoculars. Unfortunately i couldn't get to Ashton a few year's back, so that one will do me out of the two.

Bizarre he's got somewhere so fast, he did horrid at Stalybridge.

Mind his awful spell there has been removed by most bridge fans on their forum who seem blinded by his previous spell and therefore don't blame him.........even though they looked shocking in the times i got to see them.

Going to Ashton vs Grantham today, me thinks a few of the Tameside non league fans will decend there to increase the gate, probs fans from Hyde, Curzon, Mossley and Stalybridge because quite a few seem to just watch local sides if team isn't playing.

Think is big reasons for both to get promotion, big derby game for both if they went up, although financially i think Ashton have more to gain with Stockport, FCUM and Alty also in the league, plus York easy distance.........but am sure Grantham will also say Boston is a massive gate for them, plus FCUM and Stockport and York will still take good numbers.

Bugger me it’s bloody warm here at Ashton, don’t envy players in this.

Crowd I thinking 700 odd, good chunk of Grantham fans.

Very weird ground, very mix mash type, they superbly have a large bike shed as a cover for a terrace behind goal

0-0 at half time. Ashton are frankly just a very basic hack and hoof side with very limited play..............but it is incredibly effective and they should be 4-0 up with Grantham keeper making some excellent saves.

Grantham at least attempt to play, but frankly offering nothing going forward and really struggling with Ashton’s complete and total removal of midfields from the game

I'm here too dave. 1-0 Ashton from a goalkeeping error. Feel sorry for him because he made a few decent saves to keep them in it in the first half. Ashton deserve it so far based on chances, Grantham really haven't come close all game.

Yep very very unlucky that the best player has made a cock up to cost his side.

But as you say Grantham frankly done so little you cannot at all say they deserve anything less than being behind.

Tough season for Ashton if they go up, too many sides in conf north now big and strong, their style may struggle, but 100% Ashton deserve to win this

2-0 Ashton and fully deserved promotion

Don’t think I have seen a side as ineffective when losing in a play off final as Grantham who have done nothing.

Ashton it is then, they were a tough team - scored a lot of goals in the dying minutes of matches this season, including 3 against us.

Their right back Pritchard scored 2 superb free kicks against us, one in each league game.

Congratulations to Ashton United on clinching promotion to the National League next season as the EVO-STIK League's top flight play-off final winners!

The Robins beat Grantham Town 2-0 on Saturday in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division's promotion play-off final with second half goals from Liam Tomsett and Nic Evangelinos to go up alongside champions Altrincham after missing out in the play-offs last season when they also finished as runners-up.

The league would like to congratulate manager Jody Banim, his touchline team, squad and everybody at Hurst Cross on their fantastic achievement and wish them well next season competing in National League North.

Yeah it's a pretty impressive attendance at Bamber Bridge! Worthy of the National League North.

Jordan Hulme has given NPL champions Altrincham a major boost by confirming he will remain at the club next season and vowing to hit the ground running in the Vanarama National League North.

A 31-goal return on his debut season at The J. Davidson Stadium underlined his worth.
Good grief, that's impressive.
