Some vindication for big Keith Stroud - reckon he got both the red and the Akinde dive spot on looking at them again.

Yet he can't be consistent over several years can he? Pretty sure it was Stroud who sent Liddle off first game against Sheffield United a couple of seasons back then let's a Notts player lay on the floor after having had his head nearly taken off for a good 30 seconds. He needs to be told to be consistent or stop being a ref

Shola Ameobi's Notts County
It's easy to go overboard when you've got a new manager as they often benefit from honeymoon periods but I have no idea how Nolan is doing this - not only did he nail a one week transfer window and get in the likes of Bola, Grant and Ameobi but he's miraculously got the likes of Duffy, Tootle and Milsom to resemble footballers.

Happens a lot at Notts obviously with Allen, Derry and Curle all doing similar in recent years but none of them transformed such a hate-worthy badly performing team in such a short period of time

Ordinarily I would say 7 games is nowhere near long enough for reviewing a manager's position, but this is the exception to the rule.

It was a completely ill conceived appointment, both in timing and the man himself. He realistically had 5 games to be a success because of these factors, and whilst he might count himself unlucky with how the first two games went, it's been all downhill since then.

Losing when you have been playing 10 men for 88 minutes is bad enough. Doing it when you undermined the 1-0 victory we had against 10 men under the previous management makes you look incredibly stupid.

Publicly questioning the decision for training three a week by the previous manager, when he is now you assistant, won't exactly help with team morale. Let alone that he took double the points over the same period as he has.

This is all before the account by a supporter that he was verbally abused because he told Nugent he was killing a young player's confidence by the way that Nugent was treating him.

A complete shambles.

Do those young Barnet fans who had a famous day out at Chesterfield a few years back still go down? Think one was called James, and the other was Welsh?

They may well still do but they're not about on our forum anymore.

I've just looked at the Barnet Facebook group.

Jesus fucking Christ that place is a mess. Anyone would think TK is some kind of serial murderer the level of hate he gets from there!

I've had a glance on there but then I don't use Facebook for football chat. I think I surpassed that level of analysis when I was 12.

It's ridiculous. But you know what? These opinions are never heard out loud at games, only ever spewed on the internet. I reckon they know just how stupid they sound and don't want the embarrassment of being called out in public...

I've not looked at that Facebook page for ages - I'd almost forgotten about it.

I knew I shouldn't have looked. Like when you are off work for a week and you know you shouldn't check your work Skype messages when you go on to look at a personal message. You know you'll regret it, and 5 seconds later your blood pressure is through the roof and you want to buy a cat just so you can kick it.

Fair play to the likes of Sam or Mem though that still try and be a voice of reason on there.
