Nolan needs to stop blaming the world around him, put a cold towel round his head and do some deep and serious thinking.
Hussin isn't ready to be a holding midfielder, Noble is not really ready for more than the bench.
Hewitt has been brilliant all season, keep him where he's. most effective. Virtue is the one to play next to him, good range of passing, not shy of a tackle and will improve beyond Nobles limited capacity.
Start two up front. Sign a mobile striker to give the midfield something to pass into space rather than static ball to feet Stead and Ameobi.The
Nolan has done really well with what he's got but not the last two matches. He's been as clueless as Fitzsimons.

Credit where credit is due. Couldn't believe it when saw league position.
Sure he had some sort of meltdown/ incident with fans at an away game earlier this season when things were going badly.
Notts will regroup i'm sure, all teams have periods like this.

Yes it was at Wycombe. Since then Kewell seems to have chilled a little and the team definitely are playing with pride and commitment at the moment. If we can win our next 2, maybe even a late play off push.

Happy with Kewell? His favoured system sees us lining up without a striker. He insists on our keeper rolling the ball out to our defenders as much as possible. It may work for Man City and Barca but even Premier league sides cause themselves problems doing it so league 2 cloggers come a cropper too often. He also changes a winning side too often but he is learning. There are problems signing personel but that's more to do with us being tinpot without two brass farthings to rub together than anything he is doing.

Just watched the highlights and the ref got every decision correct from what I could see ( it doesn't show the first booking for the player sent off). He could have called another pen for Notts but played on a you had one cleared a off the line so he could hardly pull it back.

I can only echo what Notts fans are thinking about the keeper. Nolan will scream at him but that really needs the senior pros taking him to one side and explaining kindly and patiently the effects of torture on a human body should be ever do that sort of thing again.

Great result for Crawley but Notts are still right up there after a blip. When it's going wrong put your best team out in the best formation and start again.

He played ok first half, missed a half decent chance but held it up well enough.

Didn't have much of a kick 2nd half, although none of the Crawley lot did really, seemed to totally panic after Shola came on and we were well on top. Got caught passing the ball out from the keeper a couple of times as well - what was that all about?

what really disappoints me is that it was clearly 'in for a penny, in for a pound' time at that point and someone should have just twatted the number 6.

I don't know why this surprises anyone. Been saying for weeks County won't last the distance, very average side helped out by a lot of refereeing decisions thus far. Cracking start to the season fair play but was never going to last. Won't even make play offs which will be disappointing for them but inevitable..County fans been given a bit of false hope up to Christmas.

Nolan will make them a force but just not this season, definitely still a work in progress.

Hmm not really. Would have had 4 points minimum from the last two had Nolan not had a brain fart with his selections. Hopefully back to two up top for Crewe at home.

Oh the latest side to not give the opposition any credit when they are beaten. Might it just have been that we had a game plan that worked and would have adjusted even if you'd played two up front?
