You'd have beaten us without a doubt then had we met last season.
We did play a struggling league 2 side in the first round last year and actually lost 1-0 away at Tranmere. Having said that, it was a bit of a mugging, we were the far better side on the day.

We also lost 2-0 at home to Bath City in the FA Trophy so I'm not expecting an easy match against Chesham either.

You never really know in the cup. There are always a few surprises, just hoping it's not us this year.

I was actually surprised to see that 9 of the 22 clubs in the conference in 2005 are now playing in league 2 or higher. Coincidentally 9 ex league clubs are currently playing in the conference. I can honestly say our squad that started last season was stronger than the squad that started this season.

So I got our Plymouth match massively wrong, but Bristol Rovers went pretty much how I expected it. I think Portsmouth will come to Brunton Park and take all 3 points (with ease), then I think we'll see a reaction with back to back wins over Luton and Crawley.

We'll see.

I think we'll bounce back with consecutive wins against Pompey and Crawley but lose at Luton. I know Portsmouth's away form is a lot better than their home form, but they looked ineffective and offered very little.

Plymouth FA Cup (A). LOSE
Bristol Rovers (A). LOSE
Portsmouth (H). LOSE
Luton (A). WIN
Crawley (H). WIN

Well the point against Portsmouth was the bonus I wasn't expecting (we didn't deserve that point though)

And getting past Plymouth was unexpected so all in all a slightly better month than I'd anticipated.

Another toughish month coming up.

October saw us have a poor start with two defeat and finish with a run of 4 unbeaten to move well clear of relegation spots. Can't see November being anywhere near as good tbh

Won Blackpool (H FA Cup) L
Lost Luton(A) L
Drew Morecambe (H) D
Lost Notts C(A) L
Lost Mansfield (H) D

So I predicted two draws and we got a win and a draw. Can't say I'm particularly happy about being so close to getting the prediction right.

Fantastic month for us, played 4 sides who were all promotion contenders at the start of the season and won two, drew and lost one, as well as comfortably beating Crawley today.

I'm a bit more optimistic.

18 Nov - Halifax (A) Win.
21 Nov - AFCW (A) Draw.
24 Nov - Yeovil (A) Win.
28 Nov - Portsmouth (H) Draw.
And the winning numbers for wednesdays lottery are .......;)
