Chesham It's are 9 (nine!!!!) - 0 up against Merthyr at half time!!!

I automatically presumed it would be top Vs really awful bottom but it's actually 8th Vs 11th!

Sounds a bit of dodgy 2-0 win for us. First might not have crossed the line and the second was never a penalty apparently.

Not that I care.

It would seem we ran out of steam today after going 0-2 up after twenty minutes. Not much attacking threat second half.
A shame but understandable after the workrate of the last two games.
Could do without the Tuesday game next week.

Matty Brown's penalties are the perfect illustration of why you don't want to see a centre half stepping up to take one. Their ball contact default setting is to send the ball as far and as high as they can. It does add to the drama of the final shot in a penalty shootout though, and he managed to squeeze his previous penalties under the crossbar in the play off final and the Trophy Q/F. Not today though. :ffs:

Beat Torquay 2 nil. Nothing much in the game. Danny Rowe the difference and goes to the top of the scoring charts.

We're aiming for a level goal difference at the end of the season of scored 25, conceded 25.

gave Ebbsfleet a proper thrashing after scoring twice. We will score 3 in a match some day.

Probably deserved something today, but an injury time winner for Gateshead was in line with the rest of the week.

Merthyr had to play their youth team due to losing pretty much their whole squad yesterday.

That was a good win. Hartlepool werent great but we restricted them to virtually no chances and scored two decent goals. Pretty much a perfect away performance.

Just a shame we havent got that cutting edge in front of goal really...

Our performance was much improved I thought, personally i thought we should've won as we battered the Dover goal in the final 20mins and missed 3 guilt edged chances.

Dover as expected started well and on the front foot as I thought they probably would and they should've punished our shit backline for their shiteness on more than one occassion. Our problem was not getting enough bodies in the box despite getting into several decent positions.

Second half was one way traffic mainly though as we got a deserved equaliser which looked like an own goal to me. Dover as I expected tired on a big boggy heavy pitch and we should've won it.

Have to give Dover credit though, by far the best side I've seen in terms of organisation this season, no nonsense defending and with quick players on the break. They'd need to go full time if they got promoted though, I cannot see them coping too well every week on bigger pitches against better sides.

Have to have a dig at Chris Kinnear though, who forced his right back Josh Passley back on the pitch even though he was clearly injured. I've never seen a physio lose it with his own bench as much as the Dover physio did when Kinnear stupidly forced Passley back on when he was clearly injured.

And let's be honest here, it wasn't Aldershot who restricted us to virtually no chances, we restricted ourselves, zero creativity from the midfield which lead to Cassidy having to win and then chase down his own flick ons, their keeper didn't have a save to make all game.

Thank fuck I'm working Tuesday night, there's no way I could be arsed to go and watch that shite in the freezing cold.

I see Luke George started. Was that his first?

We probably deserved 0.8 points from today. Maybe we could have changed things in the second half when Orient started to get the upper hand..

I can say categorically that Billy Heath will still be FC Halifax Town manager next season. The chairman and his directors learned their lesson in the chaos that followed the Neil Aspin sacking, even if our nobby headed fans didn't- when you have a manager with a proven record of success, you back him, not sack him, when the waters get choppy. :bdick:

Always enjoyed my visits to Wrexham, shame to have missed it today. Sounds like a close game with some iffy decisions. That's the beauty of non league I suppose!

We’ve got a MAJOR INJURY CRISIS. Had three subs and an academy kid in goal today.

It’s almost as bad as when Aldershot had three players injured earlier in the season and all their fans were crying.

Shameful bending of the rules Woking, how on earth did you get away with playing four keepers?:dk:

So will you run out of money or players first?

Thought the exact same myself when I saw that.

Apparently Merthyr have had their budget significantly reduced this week. To fufil their fixture they played their development squad and had a 15 year old in goal in goal.

So? We only had 4 (including an academy keeper) and still won comfortably.

Maybe you could use the prize money from your MASSIVE win against Bury to get some players in?
