I take it that you don't want to play if your side don't win their first game then?
:bg:
No, no, I want to have top score and £1,000 for next round.
The only problem with this forecast is if FGR are first out of bag and get a bye. Otherwise the winning Vegans are nailed on to be in bag for next round.

It's the ball left in the bag that gets the Bye, not the first one out.

Oakey, bear with me but there's one thing I'm not getting, the 'wins take precedence over pounds' bit.

Player A bets £500 on 1 game and gets it right = 1 WIN and £1000 in the bank. That's straight forward enough.

Meanwhile Player B bets £62 on 8 games but he's only right on 4 of those games. He'll have less money in the bank than player A but more wins? How does this work out then?

hi Vanni ,thanks for showing an interest and asking a fair question...
the aim in this year's competition, compared to the last one, is trying to keep more people in the competition after the first round...
punters can bet as much (max. £500) or as many times (up to 8 attempts) in the first round
hopefully taking time to assess their choices based on some sort of homework...
somebody who correctly predicts 1 out of 8 games (12.5%) is not as good as somebody who gets 4 out of 8 games (50%) right ....you know most of my predictas favour percentages...
I would like to reward those who have more wins than those who just bet the once...
the money in the bank will make a difference,as usual,in the event of the amount of wins being the same...so both are important....finding the draws obviously preferable to help...
somebody might bet 8x £1 and keep the rest back...if they win them all then their bank will show £508 and 8 wins to take into the second round...pretty good I would have thought?
hope it makes for a good game my friend...
cheers mucker

Oakie,
Just checked rules on page 1 which state:
"YOU CAN DECIDE TO BET ANYWHERE FROM £1 TO £500 ON ANY OF YOUR PREDICTAS BEING CORRECT....£500 DIVIDED BY 8 EQUALS £62 (ROUNDING DOWN)"
But on your reply you state:
"punters can bet as much (max. £500) or as many times (up to 8 attempts) in the first round"

Just to get it right in my mind: assuming predictas have more than £500 winnings can they bet that full amount or is £500 the max for all rounds?

Cheers mate
