We’re playing a team who are unlikely to finish in the bottom 6. Heavy defeat incoming, unless we find a new midfield on the way up…

We need to bounce back. One thing we have been good at under Wild is not stringing defeats together. We have generally always bounced back with a win. Hopefully we do that again.
Really? Good at "not stringing defeats together"? That's the ONE thing you think we're "good at", huh? Incredible. Fucking plank. :ffs: :dk:

Weymouth at home for us - we don't win at home but we do win on Tuesday's so something has to give.

Knowing us we'll play well, concede 3 daft goals and make it 9 home losses in a row

Made alot more sense than the Woking manager on Saturday, he really should get the Newcastle job - the new owners can afford the translator...
Why did I suddenly think of Julio Geordio from the Fast Show?

Tom Whelan returning to our place with his Eastleigh side. Absolutely no doubt in my mind that he’s going to have a blinder, I was really gutted to let him go but I do think Khan and Clarke are better players in his position so something had to give. Although having said that both of those are out injured at the moment, so Whelan would probably playing!

I reckon we’ll be unchanged from the weekend, that’s if Miller is fit to start anyway, which if isn’t the case then a more than capable Whittle comes in to replace him.

Don’t know much about this Eastleigh team but I do think we’ll have too much for them. Going for a 3-1 win with another goal each for Rowe & Tshimanga, followed by an Oyeleke thunderbolt! Whelan to get a goal on his return for them
Agree with this. Whelan was a funny one when let go, he was a far better option than Mandeville in my opinion.

We now have a run of fixtures which we need to be getting a good return from. Our December looks tough.

We've had all three of Whelan, Khan and Clarke in the past and I wouldn't have any of them back. Khan at least showed he had some ability when he was with us but was very inconsistent and he's a colossal bellend. Whelan was ok but didn't pull up any trees and the less said about Clarke the better.

Win tonight to set up a biggy on Sat hopefully.

Think we are still missing the same 7/8 as Sat + maybe Miller if he hasnt recovered. Team basically picks itself.
Going 2-1 and 4600 crowd.

I appreciate Clarke didn’t pull up any trees with you, however when we first signed him last year we gave him about 2 months before he even featured just to get up to the required physicality / speed of men’s football. Technically he’s far in advance of that of a typical non league footballer, and now he’s able to deal with the physical demands, he stands out with his performances. That was one of the best things Rowe did, as if he’d thrown him straight in I can imagine he’d have had a similar impact to what he had at your place… I.e not a lot

I also seem to remember Whelan tearing you a new one last season at our place when we beat you 3-0 and Twitter was full of your fans saying how much they’d love him back!??

You must have some bloody good players in those attacking midfield positions if you think none of them are getting game time at Yeovil!

We've won 6 on the bounce at home, a run that has to end some time, if only on the law of averages. Firing blanks up front lately too. 1-1. :ds:

Think you might be thinking of a different Khan (without checking). Are you referring to the one that also played for the yellow-stained, sister touchers from Nottinghamshire?

If so, he's not our guy.

Yep, everyone needs to know their Khans. I suggest anyone who is confused reads this excellent article:

In particular, I didn't realise the Chesterfield Khan used to play for Pagenham and Red.

Yep correct, hold my hands up to that one. Don't know why I thought Otis was at Chesterfield, I suppose it's because he used to be at Mansfield. Very easy to get those two mixed up :gr:

It's purely based on how they performed when they were at Yeovil, which was not particularly well. Clarke in particular was next to useless. Obviously there's a big difference in how different players fit in at different clubs, Joe Quigley is a good example of that.

Spot on. Jack Clarke is by far and away our best option at CAM - some of his footwork / passing was absolutely brilliant before he got injured.

Khan for me is a little bit more box to box - Mandeville flatters to deceive too often.

Yeah agreed, Mandeville needs to pull his finger out big time otherwise he’ll find himself gone. 11 appearances this season, 0 goals.. in the position he plays, that’s garbage. He’s having next to nothing impact on games either. I honestly believe he’s got the ability to be such a big player, but it just doesn’t seem to be happening?

Roll on the return of Clarke during November, or even Rowe dropping into the 10 to accommodate Asante

Mandeville is very frustrating. He does work his socks off but his end product is pathetic. Like you said, no goals and no assists for a player who is meant to be creating chances for the front two speaks volumes. In comparison Khan has 3 goals from that position on the pitch and has started less games.

unsure what sort of rotation will occur in our squad. a few people coming back from injury and having gametime managed, Brisley may be swapped for Lennon, Hosannah may drop down and McAlinden stuck out wide, Jarvis could come also come back in or our new Canadian midfielder could make an appearance - providing we stick with the 4-4-2 of course

We might see Jarvis back in for a Hosannah. I dont think Trafford will be involved.

Hoping Brisley is playing. I didn't see anything about Maidenhead at the weekend that worried me, but we have got a poor record against Devonshire and his teams(it seems like we have anyway)

It's Clarke's vision and quickness of pass for me. There's areas of his game need work obviously, but his ability to unlock a defence with 1 sharp pass that not many other players at this level would even see is badly missed right now.

Small bet on Weymouth. I know absolutely nothing about them but surely too big at 7/2 away at Aldershot

Danny Rowe not even in the squad, assume he must be injured. Why not I guess, add him to the list
